Pan Pacific Suzhou

Almost everything was perfect except for the internet connection that was a real problem. If you go to this hotel on holidays, it's a really nice place, but if it's for work be prepared with the WiFi...

The internet connection was awful and this was really difficult to work from the room (impossible with the WiFi). By chance we bought a SIM card with 5G data access and like that we worked. The level of IP packet losses was so high that even when we connected to our own email servers oversea we were blacklisted dur to a too high amount of connexion from the same IP address (the hotel). This point has to be definitly solved oherwise I would not come back to this hotel for a business trip.

Excellent location. Hotel is located in a tourist attraction with Pan Men Garden in the backyard, free complimentary access for customers. Hotel is literally built on a castle wall. Taxi and Didi drivers can drive up, making it extremely convenient for pick ups and drop offs. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Honourable mention to the doorman Mr Ding who was very helpful and friendly to have a chat with. Hotel does provide a list of available activities to do if you are unsure what to do on those relaxing days off in Suzhou. Highly recommend booking a hotel room with breakfast included as breakfast is a pretty decent all-you-can-eat buffet.

During winters only heating AC is available. Would have been much better if AC could also do cooling, which was disabled. Be aware that there are occasionally mosquitoes at night, but the hotel does provide an insect repelling device in each room which was quite effective.

I like their coupons with Panmen and Ancient canal cruise, those are good to me getting more understanding in Suzhou. You guys should stay one night with that hotel.

They should guide guests to the assigned seats for the breakfast but not let them find what they wanted. I found one elder couple getting my seat during my 3rd round to get the food back. At that time, I don’t want to argue nor complain to them and the staffs. Later I wrote it down since I prefer that hotel to think about how to improve that procedure to make sure each guests get the exactly seats and enjoy their food.

I really like the unique traditional Chinese garden architectural design of this hotel. Everything is exquisitely designed and beautiful, especially the pond in the backyard, the small bridge and flowing water, the stone-carved stone altar reflected in the pond water, and the palace-like design at the entrance. When I check in at night , brightly lit, especially beautiful. The size of the room is moderate and the mattress design is comfortable. I am very satisfied with this stay and hope to stay again in the future.

The hotel is quite big and needs some signage to tell people how to go up and downstairs and how to get to the backyard.

The staff were helpful and nice. Providing us with plenty of bottled mineral water daily. The Doorman was friendly and helpful too. They have a very nice garden and the exterior of the hotel is beautifully designed. The room interior is a bit dated still a comfortable stay.

The aircon ventilation system is not great and we can smell cigarette smoke at times. The wall is a bit thin as well and we could hear door slamming. Not near some of Suzhou main attractions, but you can get a taxi easily.

I loved this hotel so much, though we stayed just one night! The hotel itself was gorgeous, tastefully decorated, clean and comfy. We got a free room upgrade to the suite, it was FANTASTIC! The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is exceptionally beautiful and with direct access to the gardens and the pagoda. I enjoyed walking there! The breakfast was great. Also I used the swimming pool. I would love to come back!

Beautiful traditional , A grand palace design hotel. Next to Panmen Scenic locations, with complimentary entry. Great breakfast , wide choices , Chinese restaurant 👍🏽 delicious, and affordable pricing. Concierge staff very helpful. and friendly.

Our room way too far located at the end of the hotel. A long walk back to room, for us , seniors. Menu do not have in English . We could have order more delicious cuisine if we able to understand the menu.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and it was connected to Pan Men, so access to it was free for hotel guests. Location was central and walking distance to the Nan Men metro.

Though the hotel's rooms may be older as compared to the newer hotels with various gadgets, it was still acceptable if you are just looking for a nice getaway and something laid-back.

My friend & I had a short stay in Suzhou. The garden next door was a bonus! So convenient & beautiful… breakfast buffet was delicious & adequate. Shower need some update. Too bad that I found out too late for the Free one person/room Chinese dress up (needs one day reservation). Overall, the stay was pleasant! Will recommend this hotel to friends!! Keep up the good work!

The gardens.

The location is everything. It is exceptionally beautiful and with direct access to the gardens and the pagoda. The building is beautiful and perfectly renovated. Inside it is a big maze but everywhere you look there is something beautiful.

It is very busy and the room was a bit dark.
