Rija Old Town Hotel

Friendly staff and comfortable accommodations. Clean rooms and bathrooms and the bedding was fresh and warm. Great breakfast. Nice view from my room. Free taxi from the airport worked well and lessened stress.

Some of the other guests in the hotel were rowdy and inconsiderate to fellow guests

Nice room, maybe a little small but for 1-2 day stay you don't need much room anyways. Beds are comfy and the whole building is renovated, nice and clean. Breakfast OK, could be more fresh fruit but you can definitely find something for your taste. Location very good, but parking is quite far away (nice thing that you can unload your suitcases next to the hotel, but can't park there). We got the room with the view to the church, so there wasn't much noise from the cars, but i can imagine that the rooms facing to the big road can have much more noise (considering that there isn't an AC in the room, hot summer days can be difficult). Otherwise nice place, worth its money and would visit again.

The staff didn't speak Estonian or English so it was quite hard to communicate if you dont speak russian.

Great location. Modern and cozy rooms. Clean and neat. Comfortable bed. Breakfast included in price, and its really good quality and variaty. Cafe interior is amazing.

Its mentioned that, there is parking on website. But its not, so you need to find parking.

The hotel was very clean and cosy, it had everything I needed. I could leave the luggage before checkin and after checkout. The breakfast was tasty.

The coffee options at breakfast were limited. But the main problem was one employee's attitude - she was rude and not very welcoming, she very rudely answered some of the questions. Other employees were nice.

Renovated and clean interior in the nice building in the Old Town. Bright room with beautiful view. Friendly stuff helped us with the things we needed. Provided toiletries were useful to have. Breakfast was good, including cold and warm options. Location is perfect because it is in the Old Town but close enough to walk to ferry terminal, bus stop, train station and some other areas which are worth to visit as a tourist.

Everything seems was good. Just can mention that it will more enjoyable to have fresher smell of towels. It also can be useful to have sandwich option to buy at the reception.

Excellent location on edge of OldTown (in fact virtually built into the medieval City Walls), only 10 mins walk from the main square with numerous restaurants, and 15 mins walk from the ferry terminals (so very convenient for trips to Helsinki for example). Very good breakfasts with a large range of hot and cold food. Mini bar in room was, unusually, very reasonably priced.

Shower was very sub-standard. Only a shallow ridge which meant water leaked out very easily across the bathroom floor. Made worse by the fact that the large shower head continued to drip profusely after use (even though I only used the small head) - I had to shut the bathroom door to block out the sound and found the bathroom floor completely flooded at the end of my first night. Told reception about it but they didn’t seem to think anything could be done about it. The saving grace was that a wiper blade was provided - maybe for this very reason!

The Location is perfect! When we arrived at our hotel, even the taxi driver exclaimed, 'Wow, you're right in the heart of the city!' We had an issue with our room, and the receptionist was very helpful in moving us to a different one. He was extremely friendly and efficient. Very comfortable bed, quiet room, all essential items provided in the bathroom, and a minibar with a variety of drinks and snacks.

I believe the breakfast area needs better organization. On the first day, when we arrived for breakfast, all the tables were occupied, so we had to wait on a small sofa near the entrance. Some people passed by without even acknowledging that we were waiting, and they took food without finding a place to sit. The next day, we learned from the experience and secured a table before getting our food. However, the dining hall was still full, and others did the same from previous day—taking food without available seating. It would have been more organized if the hotel had staff to manage the situation and ask people to wait for a bit. I understand that this is not the hotel management's fault, as some individuals can be inconsiderate and eager to have breakfast.

Very nice location in Old Town with charmy night view on Oleviste church (the upper rooms with view to internal courtyard). Few steps from Paks Margaareta tower with its cosy maritime museum. Raekoja square can be reached in 5 min by foot. Strategically located to be reached by ship (port is near) by local tram or by personal car (Europark parking out of old town walls recommended). Young gentle staff provided us proptly a more spacious room at 4th floor when we asked an upgrade from ours at 3rd where we had a continous water noise from heating valve.

Rooms are tiny for double beds (probably due to ancient building structure) and some rooms have a bit flush noises from heating system tubes. Best rooms are the upper floors (on 3rd and 4th floor) with old town view. Breakfast was good for salted food but poor of sweet propsals (missing croissants \ handmade cakes). Caffe from automatic machine not tasted as real espresso.

This was our second time in this hotel (yes, it is that good). Central location, really nice staff, comfortable room, and overall amazing value for money. The room included fresh towels, shower gel and other useful hygiene products. The real gem was the breakfast - there was a wide selection of fruit, bread, cold salads, vegetables and warm food (and sweets!). Everythis seemed fresh and tasted really good.

There is no AC and it was quite warm during our stay, maybe because we were at the top floor. It was not bad, but I image that if there is a heatwave in the town it could've been uncomfortable. They was however a fan that we could've used.

The hotel is located in the old center of Tallinn, close to all major attractions in an old renovated building. The room (single standard) was quite good, with all necessary facilities. The receptionist Kateryna was very nice and helpful, prepared a proper invoice for my institution (a big thanks for that).

The breakfast could have been better, I would like to have freshly baked buns or pancakes in addition to what is offered. Generally, a bit more variety in food would be nice. There was no climate control in the room and it was a bit hot.
