Very beautiful bed & breakfast in an art deco townhouse a few steps away from Amiens’ famous cathedral, right in the very center of the town. Despite the central location it was totally quiet as there is no traffic in the street. The room and bathroom were light and airy with high ceilings, large historic windows and freshly renovated with lovely period details. Everything was nicely decorated in a classic French style with modern twists. The bed was very comfortable. The host was kind and welcoming, receiving us in person and providing us with lots of advice how to spend our time. She recommended to visit the Jules Verne Museum, where the great author had lived for 20 years. We did, and enjoyed it very much. Also, the host kindly made a dinner reservation for us in a lovely French restaurant. In the morning a very generous and delicious continental breakfast was prepared for us at our requested time. We enjoyed our stay very much and will certainly book Maison Ulysse again whenever we come back to the Amiens area.

What a warm welcome from Amelie. What a fabulous place, so well renovated and with such good taste. Beautiful high ceilings with all the original plaster work, gorgeous marble fireplaces and very good quality furnishings. Our suite and the children's room plus the 2 bathrooms were fantastic and our balcony was an unexpected plus. No traffic noise whatsoever. The breakfast was well presented, varied, copious and of good quality. Our host certainly went out of her way to make us feel at home and welcome .

Although the staircase is beautiful it could be problematic for older people or those with mobility issues. However, Amelie is on hand and more than willing to help with the luggage.

Amelie and her family made us very welcome in this beautiful century old hotel, lovingly restored. Amelie gave us good advice on what to see , and where to eat on the quay. The cathedral towers over the property in Rue Robert de Luzarches, named after the architect who designed this epic building. We left after a lovely breakfast served by Amelie

The wooden staircase was beautiful but getting to the top floor might be tricky for some. (Not us!!)

Location was brilliant- next to cathedral Pedestrianised road very quiet. Style of hotel was great . Big airy room with stylish decor . Interesting architectural details . Big bathroom. Plenty of mirrors and places to do hair & make up.

Washbasin rather high. No plug in basin . No toilet roll holder . Would have liked a bath as there was plenty of room for one

Our host Amelie was so welcoming and helped us with ideas for restaurants and what sightseeing to prioritise on our short stay in Amiens. The house is beautiful with fabulous floors, stained glass, and bare wooden staircase. The location was perfect, with the cathedral at the top of the road. Great freshly prepared breakfast with a lot of variety.

Wow, a magnificent large room with separate bedroom and lounge area and our own balcony looking out to the Amiens Cathedral. Amélie, our host, could not have been more accommodating, and the location was impeccable. Lovely breakfast room with an excellent selection of breakfast items. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Well worth it

Amelie is the warm and welcoming host of this beautiful property. Our very comfortable room was on the second floor and from the balcony we had a stunning view of Amiens Cathedral.

If there is anything to dislike about this property we are yet to discover it.

Beautiful old house, gorgeous room, and the location was incredible. The cathedral was literally in your face when you sat on the balcony! Wonderful breakfast and a very gracious hostess. Highly recommended.
