This charming hotel was in a prime location in the center of the town and directly across from the house and Inn where VanGogh lived and died .The lobby and dining area was decorated with a countryside flare .I had the suite with an absolutely beautiful stunning bathroom with a bathtub and shower .Bathrobes, slippers ,heated towel rack ,lotion,toiletries.Fridge and coffee machine / tea kettle ,sitting area with a small table .

No one was at the reception desk when we arrived but luckily they're were 2 ladies in the court yard who showed us where to find the keys.

Beautifully appointed rooms, very comfortable with great bathrooms and in a fabulous location in the centre of the village. All Van Gogh sites, walks, general eateries and shops within walking distance. Our cousin is a coeliac and they baked a special gluten free chocolate cake for her breakfast. Plentiful breakfast of baked goods, yoghurt, fruits, fruit juice, tea and coffee. Easy self check in. We didn't see any staff until breakfast. We had one room in the main building and one in the garden, entry just around the corner. V pretty, small garden to sit in. Easy free parking nearby. There's a local bar tabac just next door across the alley, nice for a night cap. We stayed here after meeting a relative off the plane at Charles De Gaulle. Perfect.

Beautiful little hotel on the main road in Auvers-sur-Oise, very clean, modern with friendly staff. Close to lots of restaurants & easy to walk to points of interest regarding Van Gogh. Cute little courtyard where I’m sure we would have enjoyed a drink had it been warmer. Happy for my husband to store his bike there (it was secure). Lovely breakfast.

Unfortunately the air conditioning had broken (that day, for the hotel!) so that made the room a little stuffy which impacted our sleep but I guess we were unlucky. Not a massive issue, but if you have a lot of luggage, you may not find a parking space outside the hotel, instead I had to park round the corner in a free car park behind the Mairie. More spaces became available there, and on the road, once the working day was over.

The property is small and cosy vibes. The decor is nice. The rooms are quiet, I didn’t even noticed they were other guest until I went down at breakfast time. My room was facing the road , but I couldn’t hear anything. They do offer breakfast for a fee so you don’t have to go out and if you do go out there’s at least 4 restaurant walking distance.

the room I had was a bit small for what I’m used to, but my friends had other rooms that were way bigger. I will say to double check when booking if you absolutely want a big room.

Good location for the Van Gogh exhibit, bed was comfortable .a nice breakfast for an extra charge, it also had pretty outdoor patio for eating.

Rooms were very small but I guess standard for France. No lift but staff helped us with the bags If you are looking for some shopping there aren’t many shops in tha area. You could drive to the next town thogh snfnthere seemed to be a lot there.

The room was so lovely and clean, felt really fresh and lovely everytime we walked in. Really nice and comfy bed, decor and furnishings all beautiful. Breakfast was insanely good in the garden, such a good spread and felt really fresh. Staff super helpful and the area was great for a mill around. Parking in the city hall was really convenient. You could also fairly easily get into Paris with the station nearby.

Our room (12) was hard to find and it wasn't signed that we needed to leave the garden area to get to it. But that's it!

Located just a few metres from the main sites in Auvers-sur-Oise associated with Van Gogh and other artists, this is a great small hotel for art enthusiasts. Attractively decorated with an excellent tea room on the ground floor and a pretty garden, it feels like a private house. The rooms are comfortable but not large. Excellent reakfast included home-made madeleines and cake in addition to fresh croissants and bread.

Cannot beat location! Parking right in front. Such a charming hotel in amazing river town where Vincent and Théo Van Gogh lived and are buried. That sort of squat old church Van Gogh painted is still there. Hotel des Iris was the post office, and is across the little main street from the Van Gogh place. Hotel is also a restaurant-salon de thé. Safe with outdoor dining courtyard. We ate bkfast inside, though. Table not close to anyonevelse. Our messages about eating breakfast in the room were crossed somehow. No problem. The €14 standard bkfst price these days included scrambled eggs and canadian bacon on top of the usual amazing croissants, etc and healthy snack bars and nuts, dried and fresh fruit and yoghurt. There is an electric kettle in room with tea and coffee furnished. Bathroom is modern and super clean. A lot of nice touches in this hotel. I highly recommend. There's also a bio- and vegetarian burger-avo-taco place with matcha down the street. A cute riverside park, jogging trails along the Oise, canoe & kayak tie ups, etc. We were ready to jump into the Oise for a swim, but also wanted to get up to Rouen with time for side trips and coffee stops in this beautiful Seine River valley and rich farming area. It would be a great adventure in itself to stay in Auvers with side trips, or to rent a peniche or sailboat and fish and float your leisurely way down the Seine to Le Havre. Méry- and Auvers-sur- Oise are two attractive small river towns a very easy 30 minute drive from Roissy-CDG. Skip Paris traffic if your main focus is to wander west along the Seine Valley/ Impressionist painter-Pontoise-Giverny areas, or to visit Normandy or Brittany. And do not miss cathedral towns of Beauvais, Amiens, Evreux-- breathtaking! If you've been to Paris a lot, skip it and make Hotel des Iris and Auvers-sur-Oise your first stop in France.

Arrangements to enter after reception closes. We came directly from CDG airport, I forgot the code for the back door, and we did not have a SIM card yet and w/onwifi, I couldn't read my Mail. In any case, the night porter--it was only 20:30 or 21:00-- let us in.

Our room had a private door to the garden. The room was spacious, modern, and very clean. Breakfast was wonderful. A great selection of ham and scrambled eggs, croissant and jam, and baguette with cheese. It was quite filling and an excellent start to a day of wandering around the town. I wish all of our stays in France were this good.

We were on a "Follow Vincent van Gogh" mission and Auvers-sur-Oise and this hotel did not disappoint. The hotel has charm and is beautifully decorated. The staff are ever-so-friendly and attentive. You get a speciality tea experience free of charge as a guest. I could gush on and on, but this was a great start to our trip.

Just take note that if you are staying over on a Monday, most restaurants in the area are closed and then dinner can become a bit of a challenge.
