The location is excellent and we booked a room overlooking the sea and that was wonderful and worth paying extra for as the rooms at the back will not have a good view. The staff were extremely helpful and arranged things promptly We would definitely return

They charge for the private beach and you can book for the day and come and go. One day however we went later in the day about 4 and it was quiet and they still charges us a full rate for the day and I didnt think that was fair. Further they charge extra to have a seat at the front and we said we would pay it but we were then taken to a seat at the far end where the fence separates the public beach and it was noisy with many people actually just sitting in front of the sunbeams. We said we were not prepared to sit there and we asked to be moved. They should not charge extra for those beds as its not private. I also think in the context of the price of the hotel and payment for the beach charging fir an extra towel is a bit much

Historic and iconic building, very friendly staff

In a seaside hotel where one room is 900 euro, asking extra 45 euro for using a sunbed is not nice. Plus this was not informed about this amount while booking. The hotel should change this policy. Using swimming facility should be free for all hotel guests. It was one of the reasons I chose to stay (and pay a very expensive accomodation fee) in this hotel.

Fantastic position on the Promenade des Anglais. Lovely fresh room, good toiletries. Great view of museum gardens and sea. Staff friendly, helpful and attentive . Amazing art everywhere.

It costs an extra 45 euros a day to use the beach area. I would have thought it should be included in the cost of the accommodation for hotel residents

Phenomenal- from the staff to the rooms to the location. Faultless. Impeccable. We will not hesitate to return and the hotel most certainly deserves its reputation as a leading hotel of the world

The hotel is gorgeous. An old hotel that has a huge art collection and everything is completely renovated. My room had the feel of royalty with a chandelier, huge bed, antique tables and light fixtures, a separate hall with wardrobe, huge bathroom made of marble. Just an exquisite room, and experience. It is expensive, but not at all for what you get. I felt like it was pure old, wealthy French culture, right across the road from the sea. My room had a view of the sea. The staff was incredibly attentive including when a tour agency did not pick me up. The concierge worked to create an alternative that was probably better than if the tour had happened. One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.

I have nothing to say.

Negresco is a legendary hotel and a symbol of Nice located right in the heart of the city. Amazing architecture, luxury interiors and authentic design is what people come here for. It is still good as a hotel, but you better view it as a private museum.

Despite being a 5* hotel, Negresco lacks swimming pool and spa area (yes, I know they plan to open a spa in Autumn 2023, but it has not yet happened that's why I still mention it). The rooms, despite being very spacious, lack practicality. The furniture is dated, the toilet is very basic, and the room interior itself needs renovation. Overall, Negresco is good for one short stay if you want to pay your respects to its history and status. However, more comfortable alternatives are available within Negresco's price range.

Outstanding accomodation. What makes this hotel extraordinary is not the iconic venue, the perfect location on the Promenade des Anglais or the historical charm, but the staff: they go above and beyond to make their guests happy. When booking, I'd indicated that my boyfriend was going to celebrate his birthday at their hotel - not only did the lovely staff at the reception give us an upgrade, but he also received a handwritten, personal birthday card alongside some treats. As a vegan, I'm used to experiencing some struggles in France - not at the Negresco though: the breakfast buffet offered many vegan options, and in addition to that, the maître de offered me a tour of the buffet to point out everything suitable for my diet. The bottom line is: our stay was perfect, the staff is outstandingly kind and helpful and we'll surely be back.

booked to stay during the RWC. great location as easy walk to Tram, Old Town & Centre Ville. staff are exceptional with a warm welcome. Our room had recently been renovated and was beautiful. the original cupboards have been preserved and the room featured a balcony with table and chairs. we ate in the brassiere restaurant for a dinner and a breakfast. the food and beverage offering is a little underwhelming. the bar area is nice. we did not use the Plage beach club. The standout team are the valet parking team who parked our car and organised our bags. NB you have to access the hotel via Rue du Rivoli if you want your car parked

The hotel does not currently have a pool or spa area. on occasions you can hear building work during the day.

A fantastic location with it just a 15 minute taxi ride from the airport and a short walk into the old town. Great views of the beach and Promenda des Anglais. All the staff were fantastic from the doormen, reception, the concierge (Particulary thanks to Diane for her dinner recommendations) and the cleaning staff. They were brilliant with our son and couldn't do enough to help. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've had with tasty pastries and savoury options. Not our usual style of hotel, but it's very well done and tasteful.

Breakfast wasn't cheap at €35 each and the taxi service offered by the hotel is a little steep for such a short journey at €130.
