Hôtel Anne d'Anjou, The Originals Collection

Great location, five mins walk into town Square with a good selection of restraunts and bars. Hotel extremely quiet and peaceful. Great staff, and spotless. Highly recomended

The staff were so friendly and so accommodating, the facilities and location were superb. The bar was always covered and the drinks were lovely but also reasonably priced. It is not easy staying away with three two year-olds, but the room and all the staff were so great, that it made the stay an absolute pleasure, and if we are in the area again we will be sure to rebook.

The lower score for the coffee, was the fact that we couldn't work the coffee pod machine, the pod kept dropping through and not functioning - probably user error, but a handy how-to-guide so we could have had a morning coffee, would have made the stay even more perfect

all the staff were very welcoming

just a minor quibble - the bath towels were a little on the small size, and if you are dining at L’Essential, make sure you have a table in the main dining room; the annexe is rather soulless

The view of the castle from the room was amazing, the beds comfortable, the bathrooms clean. Great having opportunity to park onsite and super spot to wander the town from.

facing castle, first floor and far end of corridor - would have been good to be adjacent rooms, breakfast room a little close together for seating. We were staying on a Sunday night and the email communications suggested booking in the hotel restaurant which was not open. It would have been good to directed to restaurants that would be open on a Sunday and for offer to make a reservation ideally.

Room was well appointed, and perfect for our family and dog, beautiful view of the chateau, close proximity to the historical areas, rooms were clean. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good. Would stay again

The additional charge for use of the jacuzzi in the pool area and sauna, I thought 12.50 per person for 20 minutes was a little much, especially as the jacuzzi is located next to the pool and not in the spa area, 50 euros for a family of 4 to use for 20 minutes, is a little steep, maybe offering a more cost effective option for use of jacuzzi only would be better

The hotel and staff are the absolute best. Friendly, knowledgeable, always doing extra to help. Laura found us the most amazing vineyard to visit - a place we could walk among the vines and an excellent wine tasting in the original chateau. The hotel garden and restaurant are wonderful too. The whole vibe is simply amazing - and for anyone, like us, who chooses to travel by train, it's an enjoyable walk on the flat from the train across the Loire river. I'm already looking forward to returning to this gorgeous hotel.

We found the staff at the hotel very friendly and always spoke to us which is appreciated. The breakfasts were superb and the food was topped up right until the restaurant closed. The location of the hotel was perfect, within a short walk to the centre.

We had plenty of storage space in our room but not many hangers - although i appreciate that we were there for 7 days an perhaps not many guests stay for that length of time.

Right on the Loire River, our room looked right out onto the river. Facilities were clean, spacious and kept to a really high standard. The staff could not have been more helpful- from booking taxis for us, to tips about local places to eat. A short enjoyable walk from the city centre, this hotel ticked all the boxes!

The location was perfect but what made this hotel stand out was the helpful friendly staff. From the two gentlemen who worked on reception who helped with parking , suggestions of restaurants and maps to the breakfast ladies and cleaning staff everybody went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. We have stayed at several hotels during our tour of the Loire valley but this one by far stands out as the best- we will definitely come back …

We stayed in room 105 and it was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond. The breakfast was very good. The facilities were great with the heated pool and views great. The location is really good with easy free parking outside and its a short walk into the old town or up to the castle behind it which was great . we will be back
