Grande Bretagne - Nafplio

Excellent location! Wonderful view (from the balcony of junior suite) to the sea, Bourtzi and Filellinon square. Both wardrobes in the rooms were wonderfully-scented and conveniently-equipped with plenty of hangers. Useful amenities offered: toothbrushes, shoepolish, sewing-kit, shower cap, shampoo, shower gel and body lotion. Breakfast was excellent and the staff polite, helpful and professional.

No negative comments. Perhaps a shower would have been more practical and convenient for older people,instead of a bathtub.

The staff was fabulous especially Thanos. He was very attentive and made great suggestions on food.and beverage options. He made our stay quite memorable. He is creative and conscientious.

Our room temp was 26c when we arrived and there was no cooling system available. Open windows helped but only a breezy night got the temp down to sleep.

Amazing location on the old town with breathtaking views. Beautiful old property which is spotlessly clean. our attic room was just beautiful with stunning views. Comfortable bed and wonderful night sleep. we wished we had stayed for more than 1 night. Nafplio is a beautiful town in Greece and must be visited. local crafts and products in artisan shops. Food and wine exceptional.! The breakfast was lovely and catered for everyone. Plus attentive and caring staff. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

All exceptional- nothing but good to say!

Booked this room for my inlaws .... They have stayed here before. They love staying here as it's very comfortable and in a great location. They told me the breakfast was great and the hotel once again lived up to expectation. Bravo.

Nothing to complain about .... they stayed for only one night and would have liked a longer stay time permitting. Next time the duration of the stay will be extended as they would return here in a heart beat.

Excellent location, sea-front and town-center, we stayed in a suite with a balcony where we enjoyed many a cup of tea in the afternoon and glass of wine in the evenings. The breakfast was sumptuous and included many local preparations and ingredients. The staff were always helpful and courteous. The housekeeping was immaculate. The town's busy streets and squares full of shops, cafes and people were there the moment you stepped out of the hotel. With the easy excursions nearby, we had the perfect stay at the Grande.

No complaints really, but the bathroom plumbing probably needs a once over.

Very nice breakfast buffet. On our last day one of the breakfast servers asked if we'd like to sit outside, which we didn't know was an option. It was delightful. Would have loved to on other days. Very friendly staff, especially Andrea at the front desk. It was our anniversary & the management surprised us with a lovely tray with chilled wine & fruit. So nice. Room 213 was wonderful! Corner with 3 large windows, all with great views & breezes. Great central location in the heart of town.

One of the employees at one day at breakfast was not friendly or welcoming. Never smiled or engaged, just policing to make sure everyone was wearing masks & gloves. Parking wasn't provided, but a free lot was several blocks away. We lucked up most of the time, but in peak-peak season this might be challenging especially if it's raining.

Good position by the sea. Attractive reception. Comfortable beds.

Our room did not match the description of our booking. No oriental rug (just bare floor) nor draped curtains. Small plain room to side of hotel. Complained, and offered slightly larger room with sea view, but still nothing like photos on website.

Location was excellent, especially for first time visitors. Right on the waterfront with an amazing balcony and so close to all of the attractions. Loved it! Will definitely be back and will stay there again!

We had 2 single beds instead of a queen…. Not really what we were expecting

Very good location in center of Nafplio. Comfortable facility/room, new stylish furniture, high ceiling and good breakfast. Building itself is old and renovated, quite stylish

It was unpleasant and rude at 10:55 to receive a call from reception reminding that we have to leave in 5 minutes. It was strange that famous hotel like this to keep an outdated and shabby armchair among new furniture (see photo). And for a couple - they had provided only one small body lotion (corrected upon request).

The hotel is in a good location; some rooms have a fantastic view across the bay to Bourtzi castle.

The room decor is rather "tired".
