The Elgin Silver Oaks - Heritage Resort & Spa

This was perhaps one of the most memorable of stays in India and the heritage property is one of the most gorgeos ever. The reception staff, manager, housekeeping staff especially Maya and the restaurant staff were exceptional. The food is very good and since we were at the time of lower occupancy the al lacarte breakfast was beautiful . The lawns and Gazebo are absolutely gorgeous as well.

Too many calls to remind on meals

There is nothing much to do in the city Kalimpong. But the property has excellent unadulterated view of the mountains.The property has old world charm. The taxi service provided through Nanda Chettri is excellent. We got in touch with him through the hotel itself. But when our daughter fell ill, every single request was answered in record time and medicine was with us within 5 minutes maximum. That is surely commendable.

But it is very poorly maintained. The corridors are smelly, North Indian food pretty average, service time slow. It needs a good manager to lift the place up.

perched on a small hill the sweeping views of the valley and mountains are splendid. the manicured gardens look wonderful first thing in the morning when you look out of the windows of this magnificent heritage building which is majestic in its appointments. the bar is warm cosy and plush with leather upholstery and the dining hall befits the presence of royalty!

the heaters were not enough for the large size rooms. one of our rooms was visited by one of the local rodents!

The Heritage property is well maintained and a great place to relax. Rooms are spacious & just beautiful with an old world charm. Overall very good stay

Staff service could be better / Not so pleasant experience at breakfast on both days. Unprepared and relaxed with not much available

The location is awesome with beautiful view of the Himalayan Ranges. The property has been immaculately maintained. The granduer and opulence is worth mentioning. As it is a hertitage property the owners have really taken extra care to maintain the same and add to it, which really commendable.

Being wooden floor, the foot movement noise is annoying. Especially if naughty children around running around always might drive you crazy.

Quaint heritage property with a friendly and helpful staff. The food was fresh, homely and comforting. Lower rooms have fans which was required during the day. They prepared food for our dog and their own dog Ferro is adorable, old and harmless. The rooms were cleaned with care especially since we were living with a shedder.

This is one if the best hotels in Kalimpong. Centrally located with elegantly designed luxurious rooms. It has beautiful views of the mountains from the rooms and the beautiful garden. The staff is helpful and polite making it an overall enjoyable experience.

The breakfast buffet was mostly the same on all the days we were there but there some additions like eggs, dosa that were made to order.

The place is cosy and beautiful and at a great location.

The room we booked was a Mountain View room but we got a room on the ground floor with no view. The property beautiful but it is tiny for the very expensive price tag. The food was average and there were hardly any drinks available at the bar and everything’s super expensive for the quality.

nothing that I can point out specifically but there is always some room for improvement with all stays .. the waiting time for food service can be improved though

Staff service and politeness was remarkable rooms were spectacular, sparkling clean and bright view from the room was amazing everyday we got up to a beautiful sunrise
