Renaissance Lucknow Hotel

Breakfast was average....needs more variety.Location of the coffee shop with the view is very good.

This is a great hotel for a trip to Lucknow and the surrounding areas of UP. The hotel is clean as can be, with wonderful staff and excellent rooms which are finished to a high standard. We had a premium room on a high floor which overlooked Ambedkar Park so the views were amazing. Finally head up to the roof bar at night for some cheeky beers or cocktails. I would highly recommend this hotel. Do not waste money on names like the Taj (which is next door).

There is nothing I can say we didn't like.

Property is with all modern construction and latest amenities. Roof top bar, which is pool side, is magnificent. They upgraded my room to a suite with their compliments, for which I appreciate the staff.

Surprisingly, hotel doesn't have Spa and saloon. I don't know whether a property can qualify to be a 5 star without these facilities. On query, I was told that it is a business hotel, therefore, spa and saloon is not there. On the contrary, there was a wedding function in the hotel. I am surprised to note that a business hotel doesn't need spa and saloon, but it can organise wedding functions.

I loved the breakfast, The room service was so fast and they were so polite. The rooms were clean.

What i didn't like was the receptionist. When i visited the place to check in two of them were murmuring something which i think wasn't the right gesture. Also while checking out she told me to wait 2 mins in the sitting area and forget that she had told me to wait in the lobby as i was getting late i again went to ask her then she said sorry sir i forgot. I found this lil unprofessional.

It was pretty central with the best possible views of Lucknow city. The staff was very courteous. Sandeep at the bar was exceptional with the variety, presentation and quality of the cocktails he served. I could see that the staff were given a free hand in attending to the guests, which impressed us.

The seating at the restaurant was a bit cramped for our liking, it was quite inconvenient during breakfast but the staff made up for that by a very good service. The food variety at breakfast didn't change during the 3 night stay. There was a foul smell most of the times we went down to the lobby. It smelt of sewage often near the lift lobby and hall entrances; however the staff at the reception did not seem to be in a hurry to investigate.

Breakfast was sumptuous and we particularly liked the helpful staff who attentively served us with care , as we are Seniors. I would like to mention that amongst your staff , Rahul Sirdar, Sakshan,Ujjal,Kirti were personally took great care to serve us and cater to our needs. I thank them all for their personal touch. Very praiseworthy for Renaissance hotel.

Great food and service! The location and cleanliness of the hotel was of a great standard. Enjoyed our short stay and would recommend it to friends and family. Lucknow itself is a beautiful and clean place.

Shower was a bit leaky for one room. There was the smell of smoke in the building. However the leak was fixed quickly.

Enjoyed our stay for two nights....rooms are nice and have a great view of city and river Gomati. Breakfast is good..... sitting out for a drink at the rooftop - is a bonus rare for a crowded city like Lucknow.....

The lobby is poor.....and not welcoming...needs to be updated

Restaurant staff were fantastic, especially almaz and harinder. They were very courteous and looked after us well. Special mention subhash in the house keeping was amazing and very hard working. Well done.

Pool wasn't much of use and privacy, there were guests who went into the pool fully clothes on, staff need to tell them about pool etiquette.

Breakfast was ok, nothing exceptional or 5 star. Quite predictable after the first day. Better quality food is available in smaller eateries in Lucknow.

I visited the roof top bar to relax with a glass of wine. Wine list didn't have much choice and white wine was luke warm, not chilled as it should be. Live music was good.
