Allingham Arms Hotel

We had dinner both nights in the Quay-west bar, food was excellent, service was 10/10. Katie is outstanding at her job and really makes you feel at home. Breakfast was also excellent, Piping hot and more than enough. Our bedroom had a sea view that was amazing. Very clean and well layed out. PETER MAC an amazing host that really knows how to treat his guests. Hearing the staff talking so well about the hotel owners, Speaks volumes about them as employers and friends.

Lovely clean hotel.. probably the nicest in bundoran, and definitely much nicer than the main land mark hotel. The staff are very good and professional. The sea views at breakfast are lovely, and motivate you for the day. This is my second year running to stay in this hotel, and I would stay again.

I wish that check in was earlier in order to prevent the lengthy wait times at reception, where you could easily be queued for 15-20 mins before you get to book in.. maybe that would help reduce that wait? Not mad about the culchie music, but I understand that's why attracts the main base of visitors to this hotel.

I stayed with my husband and two children (10yr & 8yr) for a last minute stop over for one night. We were given a spacious family room with an amazing view of the beach and sea front which were literally just across the road. Staff gave us an upgrade on arrival. Reception staff were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was so good and restaurant staff were good craic and so attentive and engaging despite it being busy. Couldn't fault it. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Was given the wrong room on arrival, then moved to a room at the back of the hotel with no service or ability to connect to the WiFi which wasn't ideal as we had our child with us. Staff ended up upgrading us to a themed room which was beautiful and so comfortable. Great location. Ended up being a very comfortable stay and we were very happy.

Unfortunately the room mix up was frustrating due to having to move about so much with lots of bags and our child, but the staff were great and very helpful and got us sorted.

The excellent overall hygiene..close to immediate other bars restaurants, however we choose to eat in Allington Arms as great portions tasty food pleasant bar and waiting staff🤩👏

The fact that one night we had asked at bar for a drink and was told needed to wait on waiting staff to place our order then we could get a drink 🍻 On this occasion the bar staff weren't busy serving, and we were politely they had to wait to we had order of food before getting a drink!

Very clean comfortable, large room. Easy access for disabled guest. Really good evening meal and breakfast. The evening meal was very reasonably priced

Adjacent room playing TV loudly at 1am. I mentioned this on check out and the receptionist was very sympathetic. She said that had we called the front desk they would have asked the the person to turn it down. I suggested a simple notice to remind guests to respect others by keeping down noise late at night might suffice

HAd a great stay , rooms nice and big, clean and tidy. Great location and food wonderful.

The only letdown I had was with the breakfast. You have to pick a time when booking in, and breakfast is very early. 1st morning 8am 2nd one 9am. Was on a relaxing weekend didn't want to get up that early. Also the could have a better range for people who don't want a fry up , only option was fruit or cereal, a couple of crossoints , pancake or French Toast would have been lovely. Also not a place for young to stay in most guest we're of a older age.

The hotel is perfectly situated in Bundoran town overlooking beautiful Donegal Bay (photo is our view through the bedroom window). A lovely breakfast cooked to order with a selection of cereals and juices as well. There are two options for dinner within the hotel also but we ate while we were on the road. There is plenty of free parking situated behind the hotel. We went as a couple but this would also suit families. Bundoran beach is a 5 minute walk with a fun fair, swimming pool, amusements and cinema also located within a few minutes’ walk.

Breakfast was very good, great choices on offer. Location is excellant. We ate in the bar and dinner was really good, all staff very pleasant.

The window in the room we were in looked out on what looked like some kind of huge fans that must have came from kitchen so we couldn't open window as there was an over whelming smell of food which is quite nauseating when you have a delicate stomach 😕

Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were so welcoming on reception. The food was lovely and all the accommodation staff were very friendly and helpful. Tje only issue I had were the pillows were so big and uncomfortable to sleep on. But apart from that we had an enjoyable stay and will definitely come back.
