My initial room was very small and affected by the noise sounding like air-con generators. I would not have been able to sleep with that. I asked at reception if there were works around the area as I was not 100% sure it was due to generators or maybe some work in progress which may have stopped at night. It turned out it was the noise from kitchen generators. The reception staff came to investigate and immediately offered me a replacement room. I was happy with the new room and appreciated the helpful staff. Pleasant stay overall

The initial room was small and not quiet and not worth the price I paid for it. The hotel does not have a lift and that may be an issue for other guests, it was ok for me because I am active and had small luggage staying only 2 night. The rooms are a bit outdated and could do with some freshen up considering the price charged.

The location of the hotel is great. It's just far enough out from the center to be like a real neighborhood with plenty of shops close by. I had the breakfast once and it was good but I had to pay extra. The staff was super helpful. My room was quiet. The lobby was well appointed, the building in good repair and if I needed anything, the staff was quick to respond. The pub downstairs was great. I went down almost every night.

The room was quite small. It would have been nice to have a chair in the room. The closet was also tiny. I had to ask for more hangers. There was never any annoying problem and if I get back to Dublin, I want to stay there again.

To put into context, I have often paid a lot, lot more, in hotels with a greater "star rating" and received considerably less in all aspects. From the moment I arrived, the staff at the desk were fantastic and, very kindly, I was upgraded from a double room to a suite, which I was not expecting. Now, I have in the past booked suites in various cities and this suite, whilst not huge, was one of if not the most comfortable I have ever been in. The hotel is in a beautiful part of Dublin and typically an expensive part too, this was without doubt the best value for money room I have ever had; not exaggerating but in the past I have paid ten times what I paid here for a suite in certain cities at five star hotels, yet this, whilst smaller than those rooms, was far more comfortable and cosy feeling, which is often hard to create in a hotel in a city centre. It had a king size bed which was very comfy and a wall mounted TV, along with the usual amenities; a separate living room with a very comfy sofa and another TV along with tea and coffee facilities plus a writing desk/workspace. The whole room was spotless, the staff were far more attentive than in a lot of other hotels I have stayed in. The bathroom was very clean and whilst it wasn't enormous, it only had a shower, it worked and honestly I didn't need more; for example I have paid a lot more for a similar room in the past, to find the shower only produces a trickle of water, well everything here worked perfectly and again, was spotless. The hotel itself, is an old beautiful town house and it retains that "homely" atmosphere throughout, it didn't try to be anything it wasn't and as a result, did not come across as cold or bland, really nice vibe. The Den Bar, produced more like restaurant quality food than that of a pub, absolutely exceptional and great value for money. Cannot rate the staff highly enough, so welcoming and friendly and sorted me a taxi without any fuss.

Nothing honestly, some people might be put off by the period features such as single glazing sash windows, but the room (again it was late November), was so warm and there were extra blankets and pillows in the wardrobe if needed. I'm actually just going to use this space to praise the hotel even further as there was a word limit in the previous section. There was nothing negative about this hotel at all, it's clearly underrated and deserves far more attention.

Hotel is close to city center, located in the vibrant area of Baggot street, very clean! A typical “Georgian” house architecture which has nice and big rooms for resting after a long day in Dublin. Despite there is famous pub within hotel “the DEN” in the basement, where you can have fun and drinks, inside or at the front yard, NO noice passing through to the rooms. Big advantage , that residents have option to dinning-in , listen music from Irish local traditional bands.

no lift but easy to access 1st floor where we stayed .

Easy to find, helpful staff, comfortable beds, easy to use bathroom, they had coffee in the room, overall a really nice hotel. Stopped for a beer below and asked where to buy ice cream and the staff there was extra superb. Wonderful people there. Not too far from the bus stops to get you to the city center or the aircoach stop to the airport (this will be stop 487, it is labeled, near the American Embassy—a round building—you can book tickets ahead of time for about €9 a person to get to the airport. Just check times online ahead of time—and make sure nothing’s changed of course).

No AC, and our room was a bit hot, so we had to leave the window open. It wasn’t too noisy though.

I loved the location. The room was a nice size, and it was very clean. It had all the facilities we could have wanted. It was also very quiet, even though we were in Dublin on a very busy weekend, with Springsteen concerts in the RDS and a rugby match in the Aviva stadium - both within easy walking distance. Stephen's Green and Grafton Street are also within walking distance. The breakfast was tasty and the dining room very good

I searched for hotels with parking but I was disappointed on arrival to find that the car park had been given over to an alfresco BBQ and bar party for the duration of our stay! We were lucky to find on-street parking nearby, which is free at the weekend.

Hotel is a 30 minute walk or short bus ride to the centre of Dublin. Buses run frequently from a stop 2 minutes away. Carmen at reception was very pleasant and helpful. I was able to check in immediately, even though I was an hour early. I requested a quiet room, and it was, on the second floor (note: no lift!).

Decor and furnishings sad and dilapidated, in need of a good makeover, although it was clean enough. Bed very comfortable, but it was impossible to sleep while it was raining (which it does quite often in Dublin), due to water dripping onto the windows, presumably from a broken gutter, as it hammered really loudly. Apart from that, no issues.

Lovely friendly helpful staff Great spot, easy to get into town but a little calmer Nice large room for a single Good wifi Lovely breakfast with buffet choices plus hot food fresh as cooked to order

I appreciate Ireland isn't always warm but so hot. No fan provided in the room on hot top floor but receptionist did manage to find me one( I think she gave me her own) Heavy winter duvet didn't help or lack of a blind/net so facing another window =lack of privacy if you want to close the heavy hot curtains Some of furnishings a bit tired including mattress

Staff were exceptionally friendly, the room was spacious and the bed was huge! Bathroom was nice and clean. Cosy bar area for a drink in the evening too. Location is great - plenty of bars/pubs, restaurants, shops and mini supermarkets right nearby. Dublin centre only a 20-30 min walk away or lots of buses into town run from a bus stop just a 5 min walk from the hotel, so very convenient.

Bathroom was cold when we arrived and struggled to figure out how to turn the bathroom radiator on at first, so maybe could’ve done with little information booklet in the room but not a big deal at all.

Staff super professional and they really care on you. The location was nice, the train station for DART is close and you can go to the city center by walk easily. In case you want to grab a Taxi is nice place and it not too expensive. The food is really tasted especially the Irish Breakfast! Yummy!

I expected a better room for the price that I paid. The facilities were weak and room was not as comfortable as expected. The shower needs a clear upgrade in terms of size a hot water control and water pressure. The distribution of the mirror, closet and desk doesn't make sense at all. The lights were to strong, so you can not have a cozy relaxing space
