We loooove this place to stay when we go surfing or sup-surfing out West! The best location with incredible views and such a short distance to the water. Makes us so happy to just be this close to the water, that the weather doesn’t even matter. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and we simply love how you can feel that it’s a proper family-run and personable business. The food is great, and in the winter, there’s such a gorgeous atmosphere in the lounge with candles everywhere and the fireplace going etc. plus it smells amazing!

The hairdryer didn’t work Wish there was a proper residence bar

Food very good, freshly cooked breakfast is now rare. Staff all very efficient and friendly

Booked because I got an unbelievably cheap price, too good to be true. Found it, didn't book but rechecked later and price still up so I booked, got a confirmation email, 3 days later agreed price was deducted from my credit card and 2 days after that I got an email saying it was a mistake and quoting a new price, which I accepted because it was still reasonable. Not sure who made the original mistake but the original price, confirmed and paid, in my view should have been honoured. At least that is the way I have always done business even if it meant losing money on a particular transaction.

We stayed two nights in this lovely family run hotel. The staff could not be more accomadating. We were welcomed by the owner Martina who could not be more helpful. To tell you the truth all the staff we encountered were so nice friendly and helpful. We ate the first night in the restaurant and the food was really good. We had breakfast on both mornings and it was really good too thanks to the chefs who were on duty. The hotel is situated adjacent to the beach and we had wonderful views of it from our room and in the restaurant. I would highly recommend a stay here if you are ever in Enniscrone. Also a visit to the local seaweed bath house is a must!

To say the Waterfront is exceptional, sells it short. From the moment we arrived to the time of departure, our experience was one of total satisfaction. Monica in reception was so warm, charming, welcoming and friendly who gave a very genuine Cead Mile Failte. Our rooms were overlooking Enniscrone Beach. The views superb and the relaxing values of hearing the sea lapping was tenfold. The rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. We ate in the restaurant at night. The staff again, so attentive and welcoming. Not intrusive, yet the ability to engage with their clientele and ensure all we’re happy with their meal. The food in the restaurant both evening and breakfast was superb. A nice variety of food, something for everyone and everything cooked to perfection. Credit to their chef and kitchen staff for food that was not in any way pretentious but food that was cooked by someone who understands the importance of seasoning, presentation and cooking correctly. The hotel is a quaint boutique hotel, which is old style, so welcoming and oozes warmth both in character and staff. It is strategically well placed on the sea front. We cannot endorse it enough but hope in our recommendations that others will book it and enjoy this beautiful gem. To the team who work in the Waterfront, thank you sincerely for one of the most welcoming stays we have had in Ireland. We will return.

There is nothing to not like about this property. They have “got it right”

Staff - excellent staff - very engaging and very friendly Restaurant - great breakfast (cooked to order) - dinner was also excellent - great choice and superbly cooked/presented Location - excellent location in Enniscrone, overlooking the sea and beach - easy walk to town centre and beach Location - excellently located for touring Mayo or Sligo

No issues - just to mention that it is a boutique style hotel, so it doesn't have leisure facilities - but this wasn't an issue or expectation for us

The room was lovely, clean, and very spacious with the most spectacular view. The staff were amazing, there wasn’t a moment where they didn’t go above and beyond for us - in particular the lady on reception. We wouldn’t think twice about booking again, it’s a yes from us and totally recommended. We were there for a family party locally - it was fair to say the family all said we booked the best place location and restaurant wise as they stayed in many places near. Thanks for having us. Char & Jamie

Loved every part of the stay :-)

Beautiful hotel location in this gorgeous spot. Open the curtains in the morning to see the Atlantic waves, below, beautiful. Staff were so warm, helpful and friendly, made you feel welcome and truly at home. Breakfast was great with a good variety on the menu and served by polite and helpful staff. The hotel was clean, tidy and the room was cleaned each day to a high standard. Thank you to the lovely staff.

That I had to leave!

The staff were friendly and polite, going above and beyond for any request or question thanks to all of them. I was upgraded to a sea view room, which was unexpected and much welcome! views were excellent. Road wasn't too noisy. The bed was very comfy. Breakfast was very tasty.

The only thing I could say is that the kettle in my room had to be changed due to it being stained inside, but that was done without issues.

The best breakfast I have ever had. Granola (homemade) with berry compote and natural yoghurt was delicious. The Waterfront Full Irish was a continual surpirising experience of delightful flavours, textures and aromas. From the substantial bacon to the delicate spicey white pudding with fluffy, crispy sautee potatoes and juicy mushrooms and tomato on the side, the whole ensemble was a joy from start to finish. The view of the beach was so interesting that I sat by the window looking out for five minutes at the line of surfers bearing boards on the way to the sea which was all of two hundred yards away from the dunes. The room was palatial with a very comfortable king size double and a single bed as well as a table, armchairs and upright chairs. The ensuite was also enormous with bath, shower, toilet and basin, as well as a connecting dressing-room/luggage room.

A slight stale smell on first entering the building was the only imperfection. However this disappeared as one became accustomed to it. Opening the windows also helped as the beautiful fresh sea air flooded into the room.

The view from our bedroom was amazing. We could have sat at the table forever, looking out at the ever-changing sea and sky and watching families playing on Enniscrone Beach. Breakfast was fantastic with a great choice and all served by friendly staff. Enniscrone is a beautiful place in itself and an ideal base to explore the Sligo and Mayo coast. One night at the Waterfront was not enough and we will definitely return.

Everything wax perfect.
