The Yeats County Inn Hotel

Staff were exceptionally nice. They were young local people who done their work with a smile and were very confident and professional. The hotel are very lucky to have them. It was great to be able to get breakfast from 8am until noon. The breakfast was great and well presented. No problem changing what you wanted to eat. We had dinner both evenings and food was good value. They had a separate gluten free menu which was great.

Shower in room 101 not working so well

Although my rating is quite high unfortunately I had a rather bad experience due to a party of some description taking place in a function room below my bedroom which went on until about 5am in the morning.This resulted in a very sleepless night . I spoke with the only person available at breakfast time but she said she new nothing about it.Its fortunate for the establishment that I've not let this cloud my review but it not a pleasant experience when you cannot get a good night's sleep.

But for the incidence everything else was fine.

The price for a solo traveler was very reasonable. Most hotels charge the full rate for a double room, whether there is one or two occupants. Yeats charged half price for the room for one person 👌 Spacious room, comfortable bed, plenty of towels. Included in the room was complimentary bottled water, tea & coffee, which for a 2 star hotel was a very nice extra. Good breakfast menu...tasty full Irish.

The tea at breakfast didn't taste good. I don't think it was the brand of tea, but more so the water.

Rooms are well laid out and facilities as you would expect. Room is serviced each day with fresh towels. Dinner is served in the downstairs bar. Great selection and excellent quality. Evident that a number of local residents dine there which must say a lot for the place.

Some areas looking tired and in need of a freshen up but for the money paid to stay it's hard to criticise. I personally don't like shower curtains as they have a tendency to get in the way.

Plenty of parking, huge room, shower AND bath- which is amazing as I was traveling with my 2 children who hate showers. Fast check in, friendly staff and shout out to the night manager (Mike I think) who saved the night with a bottle of calpol for my little fella who came down with a fever. Staff are second to none, family friendly and breakfast was included for the 3 of us with a great room rate. I would have booked another night but there were no free rooms for the following night unfortunately. I will definitely stay again when I'm up Sligo way!

I don't want to mark down for anything but there was what looked like water marks all down the walls. Didn't bother me but it was noticable-in case it would bother someone I don't want to mislead anyone by saying it is cosmetically perfect.

This hotel was spotlessly clean. Bedroom and bathroom were clean to a very high standard. The bed was super comfortable.The staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem for them. We stayed for 2 days had breakfast and dinner on both days. The food was excellent, I think the chef should get a pay rise!! We will definitely be back. This is great value for money.p

Aside from some road noise in the mornings, which the owners can do nothing about because the hotel is on a main road, we could not fault this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the Yeats County Hotel with no complaints at all about the accommodation, breakfast or evening meal. The staff are incredibly friendly and very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. I had heard good things about this hotel before our stay and even though the information had come from guests who had stayed here a good decade ago, the hotel has kept up its high standards and definitely lived up to my expectations. I would recommend it without hesitation and I would certainly stay there again.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. My room was comfortable, clean and cosy. There was a lift to get to the 2nd floor. The food in the restaurant was delicious. There was a great choice for breakfast. I had booked 2 nights but was only able to stay on the 2nd night. I expected to be charged for 2 nights but was not. I was delighted and very appreciative of this.

Would definitely recommend, was here for 2 nights for my grandads burial of his ashes, Yeats County Inn wend above and beyond and sorted out an extra room for us as booking.com had the wrong information about the room we booked. Amazing service and hospitality.. Will definitely stay here again.

There was nothing we didn't like at all.

Loved having food right there, and it was good. Easy to get to. Plenty of parking. The staff were great.the bathroom was beautiful

It was hot while we were there. The window would open very little. No air of course. Didn't expect any, but our room was like a sauna. The carpeting needs to be replaced.
