Hotel Risi

Excellent location just a few metres from the lake and ferry terminal. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a room overlooking the lake so we opened the shutters to a fabulous view every morning.

The hotel was unable to provide meals other than breakfast due to staff shortages. However, there are several restaurants just a few minutes walk away.

Prior to our arrival I was contacted by Renzo making sure we were comfortable with our travel arrangements. I advised the itinerary we intended and Renzo suggested a different route that was not only easier, but a much better journey that with the beautiful scenery we will never forget. The hotel was beautifully clean, with crisp clean bed linen, and everything we needed. We also had a beautiful view over the lake from our room. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by staff who were friendly and interested in our experiences. We had drinks in the hotel in the evening looking over the lake, and a beautiful breakfast , a point to note look around the restaurant for tables of different foods, I nearly missed one. I need to say it is the staff that make the hotel, well done. We would have no hesitation in returning.

It is a loss that the hotel restaurant is at present closed on a lunch time and evening, it would have been nice to try.

Good value for money. Stunning location right by the lake (though we didn't pay extra for a lake view from bedroom as we were only staying for 1 night). Hotel is a short walk from railway station and right opposite ferry terminal, so very well situated. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was very good size, clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Would stay again. No dinner option at the hotel while we were there, but we were happy with the local restaurant they recommended. Colico is very small, though, so there were only two restaurants open at the time of our visit (a week before Easter).

everything is as described. hotels personal is very kind and try help you in every detail. location is also very good. parking is ok. breackfast was also good. rooms are clean. had a very nice two nights and could relax.

chair feet in the breackfast restaurant should be covered with chair food pads, as it is really annoying when in every move generates disturbung noise. such food pads cost not so big money and could be done in 1 or 2 hours for all chairs in the restaurant. I would really appreciate, if the hotel management can take it into account and solve this problem. Otherwise, you cannot relax while doing breackfast and enjoy the nice view outside. Pls take it into account. thanks.

Lovely hotel right on the lake, so we had spectacular views. As others have said, you are directly across from the ferry stop. Generous breakfast buffet. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, particularly given that we had to navigate the interruption of train service due to the mud slide. The town center is sweet, if small. There is a grocery store nearby as well. The room's bathroom was particular large. Coke zero available! (not always the case yet in Italy) A short walk from the train station.

A minor issue: no a/c until the high season (July).

Fantastic views and very helpful staff. Great private parking. Hotel is convenient for everything, very clean and with a great restaurant. Would recommend.

Fabulous hotel in a fabulous location with a wonderful view of both lake and mountains. We went in the low season and the dining room was not open in the evenings, but the hotel staff were very helpful in recommending places to eat - plenty nearby. Overall the hotel was very clean, spacious and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. A bonus is that the Lake Como Ferry pier is right in front of the hotel and well worth using to explore Lake Como.

No hot drink facilities in the room.

We loved the range of food at breakfast and the view in the restaurant area was incredible. The staff were amazing- helped us figure out some transport and ferries due to train cancellations and let us leave our luggage at reception for a few hours after we checked out. The room was spacious and light with a beautiful view of the lake and the beds were comfy.

Only thing is there were no little toiletry items in the bathroom so if you forgot something you had to pay for it at the hotel.

amazing property located bang on Lake como with the ferry service right in front of the hotel !!The hotel is managed by family since last 7 generations 150 years and are very hospitable warm and helpful!! This is the best place to stay and u can visit each small village Belllagio Como Verna by ferry ! we stayed in a suite which had a small kitchen!! the breakfast is also very good amd they had glutten Free options also !!

Short walk from train station if arriving by train and easy to find next to the ferry port. Large clean room overlooking the lake with shuttered window, powerful shower and comfortable bed. Breakfast was abundant and lots of variety. Supplement for omelette, cooked eggs etc but the continental choice was excellent. The breakfast room also overlooks the lake which was great. Friendly receptionist who recommended where to eat when we arrived.
