Wow wow wow! What a truly amazing place, with who I can only describe as the best hosts I have ever come across. The building itself has been restored with amazing respect to its history. With the modern touches and requirements subtly integrated into the historical spirit of the building. The location is absolutely perfect for travelling around the lake and the village as a very interesting history. Another mention to Giovanna and Doriana is truly deserved. As hosts they are incredible to the point that you actually look forward to seeing them in the morning and evenings. They are willing to offer tips on what to do. They also have such interesting stories about Italy and their lives, that was a pleasure to listen to. Tia the dog is a lovely addition, and so friendly. We will be back for sure in the future! One of the best stays we have had.

Truly an exceptional place to stay. The 16th century Villa is renovated in a way that conserves the original beauty of the place (beautiful original frescas among other things). The villa is in a superb location, very close to a public beach and practically next door to some beautiful restaurants.If you like good wine and local food , I recommend Osteria del Bumbardin. There are plenty activities you can do around the lake. The owners are amazing, helpful and very kind. They make you feel welcome in their home and show you everything that is typical for the locals. You are served only local produce and homemade cakes for breakfast and as a bonus everything you see is as sustainable as possible. This is 100% the best B&B I've stayed in and I hope to come back soon.

Among the sinuous streets of the old part of the city of Dongo and multicoloured facades, we entered a garden shaded by mighty trees and arrived at a picturesque stairs leading to the main building. Our hosts, a multilingual friendly couple, made us feel immediately welcome and warm. They gave us a detailed explanation about the history of their house, reaching deep to the middle age. Our apartment was a piece of art. Painted ceiling, large French window overlooking the garden, spacious dining room with a imposant chimney, Art-Nouveau furniture, modern bathroom and impeccable cleanliness. We were at the day 3 of our honeymoon, and felt as in a fairytale. But there was more to come: the breakfast prepared by our guests confirmed their skills and passion in receiving travellers. Thanks to them, we discovered the fresh produce of the local farmers and the famous Italian coffee. Unforgettable place and memories!

Location is excellent. Very quiet, old historical garden but only 2 min walking to the restaurants and lakeside. You can rent a boat yourself or take the public boat to discover all the beautifull spots alongside Lake Como. Villa Rosalinda is the perfect place in Dongo. The owners clearly like to run this and offer a wonderfull stay. The breakfast is great with a lot of attention to quality, locally sourced products and home made delicious cakes. If one day we come back to lake Como, we will not look for any other place.

The stay at Rosalinda was a symphony of senses. The building is a 400 old (according to the owner) villa which, although restaurated, kept the soul of the it intact, with an matching, beautiful garden. Right from the the first step inside, the place salutes you on two voices: a lose brick tile in the floor -the villa and a chatty, pure italian human voice - the owner (both of them very happy to welcome you). The patina of time can be seen, heard and smelled everywhere (the partially working door of the room had an antique key, the cracks of ceiling paired beautifully with an original fresca, the floor creaked (I prefer saluted you) on every step and the two large mirrors looked more like windows to the past than actual mirrors. On the modern side, the bathroom is new and clean, the bed is large and very comfortable. I also recommend the breakfast in the garden (delicious, local products prepared with love by Giovanna). Have I told you about the green garden with its exotic plants, small, noisy birds (they never stop singing) and its superb view towards the surrounding mountains?

Nothing - for us, everything was superb - but it needs a particular type of person to enjoy it

Lake Como was our first place we visited in Italy. We wanted to feel the atmosphere of Italy, we felt it when we arrived at Villa Rosalinda🤩. The interior is incredible, everything was better than we could have imagined. The owners of the Villa are extremely nice people 🥰who are happy to help and give advice about your trip. Delicious breakfasts in a fairy garden. Very close to the stop from where you can reach any point of the lake. If you have the opportunity to stay in this Villa, do not hesitate - it is worth it.☺️

I selfishly don't want to give this place a review, because I don't want everyone to go here. It's the best place I've stayed. I've been twice already and want to book again soon. The owners are SO kind and helpful. They are interested in your life, give you great tips, make gluten free breakfast on request, care about their guests and their place so much. We really really enjoyed it there. The rooms are quite spacious and beautifully kept.

The only, and really the ONLY thing I could complain about is the noise of the dog barking all through the night. You can really hear everything around you, so I advise you to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper like me. My husband didn't hear anything. So it really depends on how deep you sleep.

We had a wonderful experience staying here. The room was pristine and we were particularly impressed with the historic character of the villa and the fresco on the ceiling of our room. The breakfast was outstanding, with homemade cakes and marmalades that were absolutely delicious. The owners, Doriano and Giovanna, were passionate and knowledgeable hosts who provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and sightseeing. Overall, we would highly recommend this B&B to anyone seeking exceptional hospitality, a comfortable stay, and a delicious breakfast. Thank you, Doriano and Giovanna, for a memorable experience.

Tasty breakfast made with local products, extremely kind and friendly hosts, Doriano and his wife . They recommended places to visit and made reservations for each evening in restaurants in the area. The villa is 1 minute away from the main square, were is the Museum of the End of the world war II, and 5 minutes away from the ticket office for all the boat trips. It has a wonderful garden, one day we had breakfast in the garden, listening the song of some blackbirds. It was great !

Maybe one thing : we had only 4 nights to stay there.

Doriano and Giovanna are so nice, enthusiast and welcoming. They do this with whole their heart and make you feel at home immediately. Furthermore, the ‘renovated but authentic’ house and garden are beautiful, and it is very close to the lake as well as to the “beach” where you can swim and one of the touristic municipalities ‘’Menaggio’. Lastly, each morning they serve a delicious breakfast with local products.

I have nothing bad to say about Villa Rosalinda.
