Hotel Villa Colico

Great location, steps to the train station, 5 minute walk to water taxi and beaches. Staff very courteous and friendly, great help with directions and dining suggestions.

Honestly, I think it was one of the best hotels I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to really many hotels (only this month around 15). The location is perfect! It’s 1 minute from the train station and 4 minutes to the lake. The stay was very comfortable as you get the impression that you’re not in the hotel, but at home, it’s very private! The balcony was large and the view was amazing. Cinzia, the lady at the reception, was one of the most positive people I’ve seen in Italy this year! I don’t like coming back to the same place, but I would definitely come back to this city and to this hotel! Personal advice: if you’re planning to take the Bernina Express, it’s a great idea to stop in Colico for a few days.

The service was great. Excellent breakfast, host made fresh tea and coffee for us. When we arrived, host gave our children cake, very kind! Beautiful views of mountains and lake from windows. Room was clean and very large. Nice big bathroom. Very convenient location across the road from train station. Very quiet. Good local pizza shop only a couple of shops away.

Hotel was great. Local restaurants not really welcoming for families, we think because not tourist season yet. We travelled end of March with children.

Staff is great and ready to help. Good breakfast and location.

Elevator was out of service for the entire stay (two weeks!). They said at the moment of the check-in that it would be fixed in the day after, but never happened. Internet is horrible, very slow and not stable. I have complained three times about this, but then I gave up.

The staff, the owner and his girlfriend are very nice people, provided us with information about places to eat, ferry terminal and places to visit around Como. Good location. Not far away from ferry terminal, beach, promenada, restaurants. Went everywhere by foot. The hotel has comfortable parking. The staff solves the problems quickly.

We had two rooms, in one of them AC was not working properly, it seems, that it heated, but not cooled in the night time. The breakfest choice very simpe, but still there is what to eat.

Breakfast was great with fresh scrambled eggs and good italian coffee. Once we worked out the airconditioning the room was also cool (it was extraordinarily hot during our stay). Colico has a couple of great grass beaches, that's a rarity around the lake

The hotel is very close to the main road, with the windows closed you don't hear that but if you open the windows or sit outside its very noisy unfortunately.

Very clean accommodation and, despite its location very close to a busy road, it is really quiet too. Oh, dogs are allowed and it’s definitely a huge plus for me as I’m traveling with my pointer boy.

It's a lovely hotel in an excellent location and has great undercover parking for a motorcycle. The hotel is very clean with lovely rooms we had a balcony with mountain views.the staff are really friendly and helpful and the breakfast is absolutely fantastic

Nothing everything was perfect

The very warm welcome, the location proximate to rail and boat ,and town piazza , place spotless. Quick reaction to one issue with air conditioning resolved promptly. Housekeeping very good. Quiet no disco bars to disturb sleep.

It was nice to discover a balcony as part of the room. It was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of lovely things on offer.

It would have been nice to have a fan in the room, as it was a very hot day.
