Food is awful, we've been sick 2 nights in row. Also other clients had the same issue. Rooms are basic but very old,l will say it is since at least the 80's the hotel has not been refurbished.

Location is about all. Near everything in Porto.
Desk guy was rude. Didn't give WiFi password then when I had to go back down and ask he writes it in caps, which is wrong. And was snotty about it. Elevator doesn't work well. Always have to walk down the last floor. Shower is absurdly small. Can't even bend over to pick up dropped soap. About 12" between foot of bed a wall to walk through to bathroom. Two tiny beds instead of at least a twin or full. Breakfast was mostly packaged stuff and stale cakes.

Rooms on the street side unbearably noisy. Apparently it is the “Italian way” for people to scream/laugh and behave totally inappropriately at even 3-4 in the morning in the street. The staff did nothing and I assume the authorities couldn’t care less. The water in the toilet was “running” often and the shower was mouldy in several places. When I brought these matters to the attention of the “manager”, he replied “I didn’t ask you to stay at this hotel”!!!! The buffet breakfast was totally inappropriate in a COVID pandemic situation, at which some guests did not wear a mask when moving around. Even though this was obvious, staff were not interested. We were exhausted when we left as we did not get one good nites sleep. Such a bad experience, never again!!!
