View, room, location, extremely friendly and helpful staff
The night we arrived and during breakfast the next day the staff was playing very very loud and unpleasant disco music which a bit disturbed the otherwise very pleasant environment of a beautiful hotel and scenery. The music choice and the loudness of it did not really match the 4 stars hotel environment. Maybe consider asking the staff to not do this anymore, the hotel would then be even more pleasant to stay.

Beautiful location, although slightly isolated with sparse buses. We had a simpler room (not portrayed in the pictures :) however everything worked perfectly and the shared terrace was lovely. Simple but sufficient breakfast.
Upon arrival at the set check-in time we had to wait an additional two hours for our room to be ready. We were told at check-in that their concept was “bed and breakfast” which is of course a different story than the 4 star hotel we booked. However I believe we got lucky with the cost at booking and I think the price reflected a more simple standard, especially for Ischia in August.

Location location location! It exceeded our expectations. One of the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of the astonishing Island of Ischia. Waterfront, private beach and the majesty of the Aragonese Castle right in front of you with Capri, Amalfi Coast and Procida Island as background Few minutes from the historic downtown Ischia Ponte and the main Port of Ischia. We'll definitely be back soon! Than you Ermando and the full staff for the incredible experience!!

This property is in a perfect location and the views are incredible!! They have different levels of decks for swimming and lounging and access to swim in the sea. Indoors and outdoors were decorated beautifully and the view just can’t be beat! My room had a gorgeous balcony overlooking the beautiful view. The staff were very helpful. The bus stops right in front of the hotel and it is walking distance to the castle.

Distance from shops, etc and lack of regular buses to the hotel. Lack of information on check in about transports, shops etc. I luckily found a laneway not far up the road where we could walk to ponte, should have told this by staff.

A magnificent location and the hotel is from a grand Italian era, although updated. I was hesitant to book when I read some of the reviews but I’m so glad I did choose to book Strand Hotel. Delicious breakfast included.
