B&B Hotel Milano City Center Duomo

We booked this hotel for it's central location and it did not disappoint! 5-8 min walk to the Duomo in one direction, and the same to Sforza Castle in the other. It was about a 3 minute walk to the tram station (so we could easily get ourselves to see the Last Supper) and there are 2 equidistant metro stations nearby as well. The train station (Milano Centrale) was a fair distance away- too far to walk with luggage for sure- but it's an easy taxi ride. They offer an all you can eat breakfast which was not gourmet, but did the trick! The room was modern, spacious, clean, and best of all (since it was hot during our visit) well air conditioned! They also have a rooftop terrace to take in panorama views of the city.

We only stayed here for one night as it was the last night of our trip and needed a place to stay in the city from where our flight was departing. As such, we didn't get the "full experience" if we had stayed at the hotel and in the city for multiple days. However, for the time we were at the hotel it was a terrific experience. The staff were very friendly, check-in and check out were good and we felt welcomed. One team member even took us to our room to ensure we knew where we were going. The location is good, especially for us as we had plans to walk to see "The Last Supper" painting. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance.

It's not that I didn't like it as there is nothing the hotel can do, but like many hotels in European cities, the parking is not right at the hotel but you either have to find a spot on the street or in a parking garage. We parked at a nearby parking garage and didn't have any issues. However, we did check-in and check-out at non-peak times. The street in front of the hotel is quite narrow so if it was a busy time it would have felt a little hectic. But having said all that, this is not unusual for hotels in Europe that are located in the city. So this is really more of an alert for what to expect. We didn't have any issues once we got our bearing and knew where to park.

Location is excellent! Very clean, beautiful room and rooftop terrace with amazing views and tables plus coffee/snacks vending machine. Modern facilities, quiet and cosy inner yard.

Wi-Fi didn’t have a password but you have to log in with your personal account from services such as facebook, google etc. This is not suitable for privacy cautious customers. It wasn’t an issue for us as we used our EU roaming data instead of the hotel network.

The location is excellent. Almost all sights are within walking distance. Very good staff. Due to a fairly long stay, we asked for a room that does not face the street, because in the morning we were awakened by the noise. We were given the room and even larger. The reception staff helped with all the issues that arose during the stay.

I wish there were more hooks for towels in the bathroom. We were 8 days, and it is impossible to decompose things, because not enough shelves. There is only one chair in the room, so the second person can only sit on the bed. Should have dusted more often. When using the shower, water flooded the entire floor in the bathroom. For a hair dryer, it would be necessary to make a holder, if you need to put the hair dryer down during use, then you can only put it on a wet surface, and this is dangerous. This is my recommendations for administration.

Spent 3 nights here whilst traveling through Milan. Solo traveller/digital nomad. 1. Location is perfect - close to Duomo/Milan City Centre 2. The room is perfect for a solo traveller. When in Milan, all you really need is a bed and bathroom. The rooms are pretty much condo size 3. As a digital nomad, I liked how they've utilised the space. There is a desk with reliable internet right under the TV which hangs mid way between the ground and the roof 4. Continental breakfast which is perfect for Milan because all you need is a pick me up in the morning before you feast on delicious Italian food later during the day :)

My one grievance was when I checked out and requested that they order a taxi to take me to the airport, a chauffeur-driven Mercedes showed up and was told the ride is a fixed rate at 130 Euro to Malpensa Airport, Milan. The taxi from the airport to the hotel is about 110 Euro, so I wasn't too pleased about having to unnecessarily pay an extra 20 Euro when a taxi would have been just fine. I did call the hotel on the way and they said they would get back to me but never did!

The location is very good. Service at the reception is fast and friendly, breakfast is normal. The room has everything except a mini-bar and a kettle. Cleaning quality was ok.

After confirming the booking, a letter was received stating that during one of the days there would be no water (neither hot nor cold). It would be correct to communicate this before booking. The water, however, was turned off for a short time, so this did not create a big problem. When booking, their system did not confirm my card, although the card was valid and upon arrival I paid with this card there.

The location is amazing. My husband and I walked from the hotel to all the main Milan attractions. We didn’t have to taxi/Uber to or from this hotel to anywhere. The hotel is so close to everything that we could even come back to the hotel and rest/take a nap or change clothes during the day. We even walked from the Milan Central Train station with our carry ons (but we are used to walking from 10k to 20k steps a day when we travel). And the 2nd best thing is it’s awesome self-service breakfast for 12 euros. It has almost everything for that price. We were full up until dinner after having the breakfast. And finally the hotel room was very modern, clean, compact and had all the essentials. And the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will come and stay at this hotel if we ever want to come back to Milan.

The hotel staff was professional, courteous and very helpful. They called taxis for us and made some recommendations about the best way to get somewhere. The breakfast had good variety and was adequate. It was more cost effective than going to any of the nearby coffee places early in the morning. The hotel is well located to all city center attractions either on foot or using the Metro. If a taxi was requested, even at 04:00 it arrived in a timely manner. For this early service the hotel staff made arrangements for us in advance. The location also made other eating options very doable without walking very far. The patio area offered a nice place to sit, chat and eat.

We liked the cleanliness of the property and the efficient design of the room that we occupied. We appreciated the presence of a security safe in the room. We also valued the accessibility of the property to the Piazza Duomo (~0.5 km). We elected to take our breakfast at a local bar, rather than sample the buffet provided by the hotel.

The entrance to the property opens to a narrow, single-lane street with no defined sidewalk (via San Tomaso). The direction of traffic flow is in only one direction. For these reasons, disabled travelers would find access to the property to be challenging.

Location is great, while hidden in a small street, it is centrally located, few hundred meters away from Duomo, shopping street and metro stations. While room is basic and small, it is clean and cleverly designed to make use of the space available. Good size of bath room. The area considered rather quiet and calm in the center of the city, however, you do hear some traffic at certain hours more distinctly than others.

Should enforce stricter green policy for not changing towels as long as not put on the floor, could benefit from automatic blinds for the window for better/efficient light blocking.
