The breakfast was excellent. There was a great selection of fruits offered and the food was delicious. Meats and cheeses with fresh rolls were daily. Fresh coffee, yogurts and filled croissants topped off the breakfast. The hosts were extremely friendly and really went out of their way even driving us to the cathedral. If you're familiar with the lack of parking found around popular attractions, this extra effort was really appreciated. The location just outside Palermo was great for getting into the city but also for a variety of day trips out to Enrice in the west and Chefalu to the east.

The bed was a bit firmer than I am used to.

We loved our stay at Elvira's B&B. Both she and her husband were friendly and very helpful. They made useful suggestions of where to eat; we particularly liked Peper's, which is just a 10 minute walk from the property. The room was traditional and exceptionally clean, the large bed comfortable and plenty of hot water in the bathroom. We didn't expect the room to be 'made up' each day but it was. There was a wide selection of items for breakfast. Personally I would have liked some sort of cereal or muesli but they have to try and cater for all nationalities. Perhaps I should have asked for it! The property can safely accommodate several cars behind locked gates, for which we were given a key. It is suggested that car keys are left near the main door so that Elvira's husband can manoeuvre them if someone gets blocked in. That worked very well.

My only small criticism is the B&B's location on a fairly steep hill. The walk up to the town of Monreale might be hard work for an elderly or infirm person although there is always the option of driving. But at least you felt you've earned that beer when you get there!

We had an amazing time at this lovely home. The hosts were the most friendly and welcoming Italians we met on our trip :) They mainly speak Italian but with a bit of English and French non problemo! They were always happy to help with recommendations, which made us feel very much like 'at home'. The location is super convenient too, just a 7-10min walk up to the cathedral, maybe 10mins to the bus stop going into Palermo, and a few minutes to the next supermarket. Breakfast was certainly a highlight, sitting outside on the patio with fresh pastries. We stayed in the 'pink' room, which has an amazing terrace overlooking the valley. Overall highly recommended, such a lovely place, would certainly come again! Grazie mille!!

Lovely house with antique furniture and a garden area with secure parking. Our room had a balcony with a partial view of the sea. The owners were very welcoming and tried hard to find us a restaurant for dinner but it was Monday and most places were closed, so we walked uphill to the centre of town and eventually found somewhere suitable. The b&b is well situated for visiting Monreale as long as you don't mind climbing uphill or driving. Breakfast was very good.

The surrounding area was not ideal on a steep hill with some commercial buildings and a sewage works but once inside the gate of the b&b you are completely hidden from everything.

The location of property is just below the Monreale main church. You need to go up the street and climb several steps before you reach the road to the main square. The B&B is located in a quet place. The hosts are wonderful people with great wish to make your stay as pleasant as possible. All facilities are immaculetely clean. We parked our car at the property (there is enough place for 3-4 cars). The breakfast is served in a shadowed area outside the house and it certainly added to the charm of this place.

Elvira’s B&B was wonderfully clean, attractive and safe. Breakfasts were delicious and the hospitality outstanding. Free parking was included Located in Monreale, a mountain town with a famous cathedral, the sites of Palermo are easily accessible by public transportation. Monreale has good restaurants and public squares with lovely cafes. The historical center of Monreale is a short hike up the mountain. The B&B is in a garden setting and our room had a balcony overlooking beautiful flowering plants and trees.

What a lovely location for this B&B, and we had an amazingly warm welcome as well. The personal touch, the momma kitty and her babies, the rabbits (for Christmas) all really added to the charm. The breakfast was delicious and so nicely made.

The WiFi, we just could not get it to work properly on any of our devices. I would really suggest to have an expert look into this and set it up properly. If I lived here I would do it for free! Also even though we got more pillows after the first night, they are all of the same odd hard and thin style, I think some different pillow types would help.

We opted to spend our last night and have dinner here after a weeklong whirlwind tour of N. Sicily. Our hosts prepared a lovely meal with freshly picked vegetables from their garden, perfectly cooked chicken and pasta, fresh melon, and wine. Next morning, the breakfast was equally delicious, particularly the croissants generously filled with lightly sweetened cream. We loved our room as well - very clean with good shower, comfy bed, and a balcony where we enjoyed listening to the birdsongs.

There are no enough words to express how amazing Donna Elvira and Don Santino were. We had the best reception we could ever have hoped for. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay one of the most memorable and cherished experiences we ever had at any accommodation we have ever booked. They are so knowledgeable of not only the area but also Sicily in general and gave us the best advice during our stay and suggested other spots to visit which unfortunately we couldn't cover during this one but definitely made us look forward to our next visit to Sicily. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the house is exceptionally decorated. The gardens and balconies are beautifully cared for by Don Santino himself and it definitely shows. Their breakfast includes traditional Sicilian pastries that change depending on the season, everything was so yummy, we were definitely spoilt for choice. The property is located at a short walking distance from Monreale's Duomo which to us was a lovely discovery, a hidden gem that should be in anyone's itinerary when in Sicily. In summary, our stay was exceptional from start to finish. Grazie mille Donna Elvira e Don Santino, alla prossima!
