Castello Banfi - Il Borgo

This is undoubtedly the best place we have ever been. It is beautiful, elegant yet friendly to make you feel special. people who works at Banfi has high standard just like the wine they produce and it shows in every detail in the property. Bike ride along the vineyard is something to remember.

Breakfast was great with plenty of options we did a bike tour and wine tour with Paul and he was amazing. Such great knowledge of and experience with the property. We learned so much in such a unique and fun way. The dinner at the Michelin Star restaurant was exquisite and was a highlight of our trip.

Ambience, location, food and experiences were all superb. The only criticism would be the price tag for everything, but I guess that’s what contributes to such an exclusive property with 5 star service.

SPECTACULAR!! What a special place!! We LOVED every aspect of our stay!! The attention to every detail was spot on!! Reception was warm and friendly - we were greeted with sparkling wine!! Our room was perfection!! i loved the design and layout!! Linens were heavenly!! Wine tasting was over the top!! we laughed and chatted and really enjoyed ourselves- we were able to send purchases home on the spot. Dinner - WOW - Once in a lifetime experience on terrace - we opted for a 7 course wine pair and were BLOWN AWAY - with all the extras it was more like a 12 course!! We were actually sad to move on to the rest of our trip!!

it is one of the most amazing locations I have been to as a wine fan. the history of this place and high quality rooms leave a lasting impression. Even after a second stay.

in the restaurant one should allow people to eat a la carte (even if one is with four people) more flexibility is needed - got a bit impression that kids where not immediately their favourite guests which considering the price of this venue should not be an issue. that is the reason why i only gave an 8 rating this time.

Everything. Perfect Staff & Room. Excellent breakfast with a stunning view. Wonderful location and atmosphere. Restaurants are highly recommended. La Taverna e Grappoli. Both are wonderful for a dinner to remember.

From the moment you arrive, you know you are somewhere special. It’s beautiful, has the most breathtaking views, friendly staff and the food was fresh, local and top of the notch. Not to mention the the wonderful wine tour. We hope to be back in the future, and would recommend to friends and family!

If we had to be extremely picky, we would have better options for lunch by the pool, but honestly it was a wonderful and highly recommended place to stay!

Just a lovely place. Nothing much to do in the surrounding district without a lengthy car journey but we knew that. The Michelin Star restaurant is absolutely superb in every respect.

The other restaurant was a bit ordinary. They had a large party and seemed to be totally focused on them.

Just break fast can be more better

Our room was a suite and very spacious. We traveled with our 2 kids 11/13 and they said the pull out sofa was comfortable! The room was refreshing after a hot day of sightseeing! I also enjoyed the snacks and wine in the reading room before dinner. Also, the staff were friendly and incredible.
