Hotel Marad

Pool - was great 2nd Room - was great Restaurant - breakfast and dinner - very nice Rooftop bar - beautiful views

1st room - shower far too small, my husband could not fit into it so they moved us but we had to pay more to ''upgrade'' Wearing a swimming cap - why? Ordered burger from room service - came as a meat patty & tomato, no bun? apparently when they asked me about a 'sandwich' that was the bun part of the burger and i said no? Started eating it reluctantly but my 9yr old wouldn't so when to the restaurant to order a proper burger for her. On check out advised would not pay for patty & tomato however they pushed the point so my husband paid - was not impressed with that

Absolutely delightful stay. Staff are very personable and always go out of their way to help. The hotel feels relaxed and in tune with it's surroundings. It has its own character and vibe, unlike the large hotel chains which can be comfortable but soulless. There is so much to see locally e.g Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vesuvius, but nice to return to the hotel in the afternoon and cool off in the pool. In the evening there is a roof top bar which commands spectacular views of Naples Bay, Vesuvius and the amazing sunset.

Everything really, quiet comfortable room . Very attentive and friendly staff who were at the door welcoming us, one of our group uses a wheelchair and the concierge was there as soon as arrived in the car park to show us our reserved space. He then guided us into the hotel using the disabled access path. He spotted us before we saw him. The breakfasts were very good and taken in the sunny garden room and on our return from Pompeii the pool proved very inviting and cooling. I would happily stay here again.

There was nothing I could find fault with

The staff, without exception, were wonderful. always friendly and helpful! The roof top bar is fabulous with breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius, excellent cocktails (best EVER negroni) a really chilled and lovely ambiance and wonderful staff! perfect spot for sundowners at the end of the day. The location is so easy for visiting Vesuvius and Pompeii - then coming back to enjoy the lovely pool area!!

The hotel is an oasis in the surrounding area which is a little shabby (but as mentioned earlier perfect if you are visiting the volcano and Pompeii). Breakfast was pretty uninspiring but a minor glitch in an otherwise wonderful stay.

Amazing terrace with fantastic Vesuvius view , peaceful place, calm, quite, cozy, nice, also big parking, yummy croissants. close to Napoli, Vesuvius, Pompeii and amalfi cost

If you travel not by car - the infrastructure around will be challenging to travel with comfort. No good beach close to the place. Wi-Fi demands repeatedly to sign in which is annoying. Our room was with not really nice view to the kitchen backyard - was really noisy. Pool needs swimming caps.

Hotel Marad was phenomenal!! As single traveller's in a family/couples environment there was nothing we could want more. The staff, particularly David and Sonia were incredible, patient, informative and friendly. The restuarant, bar, kitchen and roof top staff were also amazing. This place is just incredible. Everything you could want yet also close to everything else you might like to see. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

There was nothing not to like at Hotel Marad

Beautiful and serene, all amenities as described, clean, professional, excellent service, all staff were certainly focused on guest experience (extra towels, signage, decor, helpful staff), breakfast was just excellent (tons of choices, warm selections), rooftop terrace was great (in fact it attracts other guests/area residents)

When we came back from a late evening dinner outside around 11pm, we took the last parking spot on the property.

The staff were exceptional, very friendly and helpful, and in particular the head waiter was brilliant in looking after us, especially with kids and made sure we had breakfast boxes on an early departure, service was unrivalled. The facilities at the hotel were brilliant and we made the most of the pool and terrace bar

Nothing about the hotel - just to note if you dont have a car make sure you get the hotel to arrange you taxis to and from day trips as hard to do on you own outside of naples

The hotel is lovely and located in a quite area. The scenery is beautiful and the garden terrace is just so serene. The breakfast was excellent and service from the waiters was exceptional. We have also had dinner there and the food was great. Overall, we are really happy that we have stayed there and would go back again.

I found it a bit odd that there was no iron at all in the hotel. Also, would be nice if the hotel had a vending machine or selection of small snacks.

Dinner was not the standard/taste we expected, too bland for us (especially compared to other restaurants in the Napels) Swimming pool was too deep to stand in apart from a small area (not everyone can swim)
