Hotel Villa Gabrisa

The view from the attic rooms is fantastic, will stay here again if we get the chance. Cant say enough god things about the owners that did everything they could to make our entire stay as great as it could be, including going the extra and getting us something to eat our first night there when nothing else in town was open, including their own kitchen which was closed (was covid time, off season in Feb and a rainy night). Next night we asked for a restaurant recommendation and they called the restaurant for us, the owner of restaurant came and picked us up to take us up to his restaurant (and back if we wanted but we walked back). We liked it so much we walked back to it the next day. The breakfast every morning was cooked fresh to order when we sat down instead of a buffet type breakfast.

When we arrived we were upgraded to the junior suite. It was absolutely beautiful with a private balcony and hot tub with stunning views. During our stay my boyfriend proposed to me and the hotel went above and beyond to help him arrange flowers and champagne for our room when we returned that night. We loved Hotel Villa Gabrisa, the staff, food, drinks and location were all perfect. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautifully appointed, elegant, lovely terrace has spectacular views of the bay for outside dining, popular restaurant with a wide variety of dishes (inc vegetarian), very attentive friendly staff, fantastic selection of spirits, slightly away from the lower tourist area as further up the town. The restaurant is great for those who don’t want to venture out, offering a superb choice to try something different each time. Helpful receptionists who can arrange private tours, boats, etc. We had a personal wine tasting event during an afternoon with an expert. Library with wide range of reading. Breakfasts were delicious available inside or on the terrace.

Incredible views and very clean. Definitely get a room with a balcony, totally worth it for the view.

This is probably my own fault, but I visited the property in the off season (November) and everything in positano was closed including the hotel restaurant. It was very challenging to find a restaurant to eat at and most things were closed (shops, restaurants, bars, etc). I would have appreciated more communication from the hotel letting me know that everything was going to be closed including hotel bar and restaurant at time of booking. It is probably my fault for not doing more research, but definitely was a let down.

A lovely family run hotel! professional staff who go above and beyond for guests. special mention to Claudia at the front desk, friendly and oh so helpful. would recommend the restaurant at the hotel really tasty food. there is a restaurant nearby called da vincenzo one of the best meals we had during our stay.

Nothing! however be prepared for STEPS! the walk from the main beach/ town involves lots of steps but the hotel has a bus stop outside. positano is built into cliffs so no surprise that the walk is quite steep.

The hotel is lovely. We had a misunderstanding that it had a spa area, so pay attention to that; but our bath had a jacuzzi function and we made full use of that! Our balcony was great with a stupendous view. The room had elegant decoration and a lovely feel, including the high curved ceiling with a lovely chandelier (giving good light, which is rare in hotels). The staff were adorable, super friendly, helpful, explaining things clearly (in multiple languages). The recommended a fantastic restaurant (Il Ritrovo - not too expensive either), and organised the transfer there. The garage service also worked well. We visited in winter (and swam in the sea in December) and it was a good experience, maybe even better out of season!

we loved that it wasn’t right in the centre so was more quiet & peaceful which we loved but also only a 10 minute walk down to the main area. The staff are so friendly & tended to our every need. fabulous junior suite with hot tub & loungers… what a view! the restaurant was amazing also with a great view & a fabulous variety of food & drink and all waiters & waitresses were great! breakfast is lovely & so much choice!! A revisit is on the cards for sure 🇮🇹 what a beautiful place.

The room was really large and very comfortable. Very clean. The view was amazing with a corner double room that allowed a see view and mountain/village views.

The hotel was just opening back as we got there, it was understaffed for many people arriving at the same time. The receptionist had a lot to handle, phone, check-in, taking people to their rooms and parking!

Absolutely amazing hotel. From the service, to the cleanliness, the formative front of house staff to the attentive waiters at breakfast and dinner. Everything about this hotel is superb. I love it so much. The room was fantastic and super cute. The location is great and has the best views of Positano. The owners are very friendly and we enjoyed our conversations with them. They helped book a PCR test which we needed in order to get back to our home country. Everyone was super helpful and kind. I could go on and even writing this review brings a smile to my face reminiscing about the good times in positano. Highly recommend this hotel and I would love to go back! We ate at the restaurant for dinner on a few occasions (the homemade breadsticks and sourdough loaf made us want to go back every night for more!)

We stayed in the deluxe annex with see view and a small balcony. The room was comfortable and spacious and also well equipped.

It’s a bit of a walk to the center. Be prepared to walk a lot of stairs. The bathroom didn’t have a space to put your cosmetic or a big mirror.
