Art Hotel Milano

Nice location to visit Tuscany from with car, close to center Prato. Close to the station, perfect to visit Firenze. Good breakfast, nice rooms and friendly staff.

Parking is a bit of an issue, maybe 8 spots in front of the hotel and for a week they were reserved for busses with Chinese tourists. There's more parking but it's paif parking. However, at the front desk I went to ask and they gave me a free parking permit for a week, the next week was free because apparently paid parking is free in August, so they managed to turn their weakest point in a goof point nonetheless.

Art gallery hotel with strategic location very near the train station and parking right in front of the structure, the staff was very kind and helpful from our arrival to our departure, we were travelling with our little dog and they prepared a small kennel with a bowl next to it for her, we found it lovable. The room was small but enough for our one night stay. We found delightful the paintings of the Gioconda in different versions in all the shared spaces. Breakfast was great.

The bed in our room was kind of short. We slept with our feet almost sticking out.

Walking distance to station. Lift available. View of river and hills was great. Breakfast very good. Lots of choice - freshly baked cakes, boil your own egg, cheese, ham, bread, pastries. Replenished regularly . Room good size. In room fridge. Safe very small. Art work interesting. Staff very friendly and helpful.

No on site restaurant although there is a bar. Restaurants- 8-10 mim walk away. Would be fine in summer but not in pouring rain.

The breakfast buffet included hot foods like scrambled eggs, sausages and pancakes. Lots of baked goods to choose from. Well worth it! Also a full cash bar open at 7 am. The bed was firm which worked out good for me! Had a room overlooking the Arno river. LOVE the location. Easy one block walk to the train station. Prato was the bonus find. I enjoyed going to Florence during the day and retreating to Prato for a relaxed quiet local experience for dinner and appertivo. Prato seems very safe!

There was nothing I didnt like.

The room was clean, comfortable and looked out onto the Bisenzio river. Very well placed for the historic centre of Prato. Also good value. Very good spread at breakfast - how about a fresh fruit salad rather than tinned peaches and pineapple?

There was a mix-up on arrival in that the hotel had allocated a double room - rather than a twin - to my brother and me. Fortunately this was corrected on the morrow.

Excellent location, facing the hills surrounding the city and a stone's throw from the train station. Quiet, too, there weren't busy streets in front or in the back of the hotel. Room service was great, they left the room squeaky clean and even organised my clothes.

Beds were rock-hard, and only two pillows in the room. Shower area was so small you had to be careful not to nudge the control lever while moving around during shower.

Breakfast was great, free parking spot in front (but there are only a few free parking spots in front of the hotel). The cleaning lady on our floor was very kind and the position of the hotel was only couple minutes form the train station.

The room could use some renovation (old look and furniture).

Staff very helpful indeed. Even before I arrived, they responded quickly and helpfully. The room had everything I needed and it was very clean

Breakfast had quite a variety of food but hardly any fresh fruit. I thought the food was good but not fabulous.

The bed was comfortable, pets are allowed, bathroom is nice, AC worked :). Quite nice stay for on night stop on the way to vacation in Tuscany or Umbria.

We were dissapointed, because in our reservation Booking said, the rrom had balcony, but in fact id did not. We arrived wuite late in the evening and were very hungry and tired, so we let it be. But for us this is usually a dealbreaker and the balcony in rooms was one of the reasons we chose this accomodation. Also I would recommend to update the recommended restaurants that were provided in the booklet in the room as most of them are closed (good that we checked that on Google places).

The staff was friendly, especially the lovely girls in charge with the breakfast! I liked the view over the river and green hills. The location is extremely handy for its closeness to the train station, and the historical center is a mere 10 minutes stroll away. The reception area is welcoming, the room I stayed for 3 nights was smallish but comfortable enough, with good pillows.

The Art Hotel Milano in Prato could now benefit with a revamp, especially the rooms, where the furniture is a little outdated and the bathroom tiling cheap. I stayed in a mid-range room, but I found it lacking for a 4*: did not have the much needed box of complementary tissues (had to use toilet paper), the shower cubicle was tiny and the window panels in the bathroom did not close perfectly. The wardrobe had only a few hangers so I gifted them one of mine! :D All in all, I suppose this is a hotel for (male) business travellers, but it could be so much better... especially after having stayed at the stunningly cool Art Hotel in Eindhoven! ;)
