Giovanni is an exceptional host. He welcomed us personally and sat down with us to give us some recommendations on what to visit during our stay. I am also very grateful that he let us change the room after one night because I am a very light sleeper and the street was despite sound proofing a little noisy. The B&B is spotlessly clean. The location is great to park your car nearby and just a few minutes walking from Ortgia and the archaeological park. There is also a supermarket, bank and pharmacy nearby.

Everything was great. If you are sensitive to noise like my, make a note in your booking to ask for a room facing away from the street 😊

Very clean and comfortable rooms in their spacious apartment with view on the city and nearby church. Location is perfect for visiting archeological site nearby as well as going to the city center (on the island). Everything in the apartment is well maintained and working like a charm. Giovanni is most considerate and helpful host I've ever met :) thank you for the pleasant time! Follow the recommendations regarding restaurants and you won't regret it ;)

Street around the building is quite noisy, so the windows must be closed over night even if there is a very nice refreshing breeze outside.

Giovanni was more than a perfect host, he helped us book restaurants, a boat tour (with a discount) and spent 30 minutes with us when we arrived letting us know all the important facts as a visitor to Siracusa and Ortegia. The room was spotless and the shower one of the best we have had in our travels. We were able to park our car out the front and felt very safe in the neighbourhood. The convenience of a nearby supermarket, a fantastic cafe across the road and gelati shop in the park, all made for a great stay. We were particularly impressed with the responsiveness of Giovanni to any request and enjoyed meeting his young family. The place was adorned with beautiful photographs that Giovanni had taken (hence the name) of the town and region, he is an excellent photographer as well as an excellent host.

The property was clean, comfortable and secure. Even though situated on the mainland, it was an easy 10 minute walk to the archaeological park and a 6 minute walk to the Island of Ortigia. Giovanni was really helpful with advice for parking (which was relatively easy in comparison to other towns), and what to do and see. He provided us with lots of useful information. This made our stay in Syracuse very pleasant and memorable. Giovanni also gave a free upgraded room. The photos that lined the walls were stunning.

Maybe a USB socket in the wall but Giovanni said he could have provided us with a charger if we had of asked him.

We put our arrival time at 11.30am after being up most of the night to travel but our room was ready well before check-in without any special request which was a relief and much needed. Perfect location to reach all sights and the train station. Room was perfect, very clean and had everything we needed. The balcony had a great view of life in Siracusa to relax on. Giovanni our host went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and provide everything we needed, including a kettle! We had breakfast in the local cafe which Giovanni gave us vouchers for, it was a great way to start the day with the locals.

Absolutely nothing, faultless.

Giovanni is incredibly helpful with local tips and navigation. The location is conveniently between the Siracusa archeological sites and the island of Ortigia. If you have a car, it’s a bit better to stay somewhere like PhotoGuest B&B vs on the island of Ortigia because it is difficult to park on Ortigia. PhotoGuest is inside a 1970s-style office/apartment building that is a bit shabby. But the PhotoGuest suite (with a shared breakfast kitchen area and a hallway with several private rooms) is quite clean and newly renovated. Room had a balcony with a view of the city part of Siracusa — not particularly picturesque, but nice to have fresh air. Again, our host Giovanni is the magic behind this stay. His advice and helpfulness throughout our stay made our time in Siracusa wonderful.

As with many rooms in Italy, the lighting is all fluorescent and mostly overhead, so the room isn’t very “vibey” in the evening. But you should be out exploring Ortigia in the evening anyway!

Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end of your stay with my mum and me. Firstly, a MASSIVE THANK YOU to Giovanni. Giovanni is an ideal host and knows how to welcome you and make your stay as easy and excellent as possible. As soon as we arrived at the property, we called Giovanni as we did not know where to park our car. Five minutes later, Giovanni was here to park our car in the free space. Then we went to the property, and Giovanni took the time to recommend where we should go, what to visit and where to eat during our stay! If we needed anything, we could text Giovanni, and he answered immediately to help us or bring us anything we wanted in our bedroom. The property was well decorated, and all the photos around the property and room were stunning! Giovanni is a photographer and makes this property beautiful! If you are a photography lover, you will love this place!! And we very much appreciated having a beautiful postcard as a gift at the end of your stay! It is a lovely attention for his guests! Also, the breakfast was delicious and the same for the coffee! Thank you again, Giovanni, for your hospitality and recommendations!

Everything was perfect!

Location - if you're planning to visit the archaelogical park and museum and the treasures on Ortegia this is the ideal spot. Close to some nice bars and restaurants, with a supermarket around the corner. A short walk to train and bus stations. Bedrooms and bathrooms are well-equipped, clean and unexpectedly spacious. Fantastic value for money. A great host who is always on hand to help.

At first we were a little unhappy about breakfast not being provided on site, but the choice of food and charming staff at Boulevarde cafe made a great start to the day. The shared stairwell of the building needs cleaning and decorating.

Spotlessly clean, comfortable, modern, and spacious. The location is approximately the same walking distance (10-15 minutes) between the main archeological sites and museums in Syracusa, and those on the island of Ortigia, which, since we basically split our time between the two, worked really well for us. Great shower; there is a lift; and parking was super easy -- Giovanni personally directed us to the free, secure parking locations that were directly across from the B&B.

Giovanni made us feel so welcome and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, including great tips for exploring the city / surrounds and even a lift into town when it was raining (not that the walk is very far at all!). the location was great and a pleasant stroll to the island, the room and bed were very comfortable and the check in/out procedures were easy and straightforward. Loved the little postcard gift we received at the end :)
