Central Wellness Hotel

Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very attentive. There was plenty of selected food to eat. The room was good and a fair size. The pool was good, large, deep and there were plenty of loungers. You got a free towel. The gym was well stocked and the staff member was very helpful. There was a nice balcony overlooking the busy road. All the staff were very helpful and attended to all your needs.

The room was at the front of the building and there was a busy road especially at 5am onwards if you were a light sleeper. There was not a big enough shower curtain, and the spray flooded the floor. The pool was shaded most of the day which made the water cold and also the neighbour dog was let out and constantly barked for a long time and was extremely annoying. The footpaths on the main road were very narrow and you had to be careful re traffic coming in both directions.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel; the front desk staff are welcoming and helpful, rearranging our stay to accommodate an issue with no penalty, arranging trips and transfers, the dining room and pool bar staff are also friendly and our room was kept absolutely spotless throughout by housekeeping. Our room was a good size, at the front with a balcony. It faced out onto the main road so there is noise but this can be reduced overnight by closing the shutters. The beds are firm and have fabulous pillows which meant that even this poor sleeper got a good night! We didn’t use the gym but the pool is a good size and there was plenty of seating even when the hotel was full. Breakfast offers a good selection and you can order from menu at the pool, to your room and to the rooftop terrace.

The only downside is the location being on a busy main road and a little further out from the town centre but it is easily within walking distance so not really an issue.

The hotel is fairly close to the train station and about a 15 minute walk to the main square. It has lots of restaurants and stores within walking distance. We had a room with an ocean view which was really nice. The staff is nice and the breakfast was adequate with an espresso machine and good fruit choices.

Our room was quite compact and the shower doors didn't seal so bathroom floors were always wet from our showers.

The location of the hotel is great ~10 min walk to the train station & close the the central area of Sorrento. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection of fruit, meats & cheeses and sweet pastries and cakes. Our room was facing the sea with a sea view, which was perfect. The mattresses were really comfortable. We had a nice little balcony & house-keeping were really lovely & kept the space immaculate for our stay. It was great having a pool/outdoor sunbathing area at the hotel. It felt like a relaxed and private space.

The street the hotel is on gets busy with traffic & scooters at certain times of the day and the footpaths approaching the hotel from the town center is narrow in some parts (1 person wide), but overall the location is really central & a good base. At breakfast sometimes there was a barista to make coffee's & other times there was an automatic machine (which didn't taste as good).

The breakfast at the hotel was great, as were the lovely staff. The room was good but a little small for my daughter and I. The pool facilities were excellent once the rain stopped and we could use it! Friendly pool staff too. The reception staff were amazing and went out of their way to help us with a difficult situation on the last day when our taxi to Naples didn't turn up. They went to great lengths to find us an alternative. Booking taxis to out of town locations should be done well in advance as local taxis are difficult to get.

The room was a little small and although the hotel was excellent, it was a bit of a walk into central Sorrento, usually twice per day if you want to shop then dine out in the evening. No dinner available at the hotel. It was only a 15 minute walk but a bit too much for my elderly Mum, especially with such a busy road and narrow pavements. Occasionally used a taxi but this was extortionate at 20 Euros for a very short drive.

Staff were all very helpful and friendly particularly Katarina in the breakfast room. Due to bad weather we couldn't use the pool and terrace facilities very much but they looked to be well appointed. Our 5th floor, rear facing room did offer views to the bay but no balcony.

I thought we had upgraded our booking to include a balcony and sea view, but hotel had no record of this from Booking.com. They did kindly offer us a change of room on the 3rd floor but it was facing the busy and loud main road so we stayed on the 5th floor. The hotel hardly lived up to its name of Central, it's a long walk to the main town!

Travelled to Sorrento as our base home for our holiday to explore Amalfi and the nearby places. This is a part of my sister's birthday celebration. The location, the cleanliness of the whole place, the comfort and the staff.. i cannot fault this place... the selection at breakfast is tremendous...the staff are very friendly special thanks to Katerina who looked after us at breakfast and Luca. The housekeeping team are very friendly and did a great job in ensuring our stay is as comfortable as possible. This place made our stay in Sorrento a magical one. We stayed in one of the rooftop rooms and the view was breathtaking both during the day and night. You can see the majestic Mt Vesuvius from the rooftop bar and the Bay of Naples... This place is extraordinary..

Room was wonderful - great view. Could see the sea ( Bay of Naples), mountains and surrounding architecture. The room had been upgraded and we were not disappointed. The rooms overlooking the pool/sea are quieter and the view captures you as you enter the room.

The weather!!! The hotel pool could have been open a little earlier than May as some of the days were sunny enough to swim. The breakfast cereals were very limited and the corn flakes were most definitely not Kellogs! Not that this affected our stay in any way. The cooked foods were greatly appreciated by husband and daughter.

Very good hotel, exceptionally clean with a superb breakfast (great coffee and delicious freshly baked cakes). The staff was kind, patient and personalised every interaction, I felt warmly welcomed. The room was quiet but walls are super thin so it might depend on your neighbours. Aircon works very well, swimming pool is nice with view over the sea. The hotel is located a bit outside the centre but on walking distance. I would certainly come back to this hotel.

I just wish the room had a kettle and cups/glasses, and more reusable goods rather than single used plastic cups.

Have visited Sorrento many times , my only disappointment was that the location was a long walk to the center of town and most of the side walks were not safe for walking! Too narrow with street traffic. We were never able to catch the bus and had to take a cab most of the time. If the hotel offered a shuttle service it would have been perfect!!! They say their sister hotel has a shuttle but it was never available to us. We were a party of 12 people. 4 rooms
