Hotel Simius Playa

Fabulous location, lovely staff, amazing food in a beautiful restaurant. We were looked after by Giovanni and his team and every need was attended to. The beach lifeguards were great too!!

Housekeeping of our rooms didn’t match the standard of the rest of the hotel and we had to keep asking for it to be cleaned. Lack of tea/coffee refills and kept missing towels

property is ideally located on the beach. excellent restaurant and amazing bar/restaurant staff. property was exceptionally clean and rooms were well sized. fantastic restaurant.

Hotel is about 1.5km from town which had a lot of events on, however we were never advised of any of these by reception staff. charge for sunloungers in the front 3 rows was excessive for using the hotels own private beach - no reduction for guests. Reception advised us at check-in we would have to move rooms on our last night to accommodate a party arriving later in the week-only resolved by our complete refusal to do so.

The staff was absolutely amazing during the entire stay! Super friendly, proactive, helpful and courteous. Special thanks to Rubens, Liberto, Giovanni and Angela! The food was delicious and diverse, every single dinner was a perfect finish of the day. The hotel beach is absolutely fantastic too, water was clean, clear and of a very beautiful blue color, and entrance to the water is nice and shallow.

Everything was perfect!! Except maybe one tiny thing, we would have appreciated a toilet on the beach or at least closer to the beach.

The beach was great, the area is clean, and it doesn't feel threatening. The hotel staff is very cool. The food at the restaurant is excellent and the owner of the place recommended great places to go to.

I didn't like the fact that the hotel didn't have more means of transport, it'd be super cool if the hotel had a gold cart to bring you to the city every 30 minutes. The city isn't far, but still, it'd be good. Also, the beach has to be paid extra, this wasn't really mentioned. But it's still worth it, the place is great.

The FOOD! Warning; if you don't go half board I expect you will find this place over priced. With the food included, it's amazing. Full Italian 4 courses every night (and a great breakfast). The selection changes every night and the standard is just fabulous. Service is so friendly and excellent. Half board includes beach beds from 3rd row back.

The hotel management Vs the restaurant management seem to have different ethos. Basically, the rooms are sparse and quite small for the price with silly missing things like conditioner (which with hand luggage my wife was relying on being there). Beach towels cost 3 EU to change...if you don't go half board then you have to pay for beach beds. Other reviews say similar...we would review entirely differently if we hadn't gone half board - location still wonderful but the cost would have been outrageous. With half board and food and ambience that good, it's worth it.

I was here 6 day's and I can't speak highly enough of the staff who will do anything to make your stay pleasant. The cleaners do an amazing job as it's spotlessly clean. The hotel is beautiful, tropical garden, close to the beach and very very relaxing. The food at both lunch and dinner was wonderful. The pool may be on the small side, but its cold (which is great) and does the job. I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat.

Very minor - it would be good to have a comfort topper on the mattress and softer pillows. But then again it seems nearly every bed wherever I stay in Italy is very hard. A shuttle to take guests up and back from the shopping street would be nice if it was possible.

The hotel is extremely well run. The staff are efficient and friendly. The proximity to the beach is fantastic. The pool is very pleasant for a couple of hours in the afternoon and not busy. This was our second stay here and I booked when my husband was very ill and not able to walk very far. It's an ideal spot for older residents who want a quiet beach side holiday.

We booked half board (there are few other places nearby to eat and none are open in June). The evening meals are inventive and original but I would prefer something lighter and less rich. It turned out that the best thing to have was the fresh fish of the day, grilled. The coffee at breakfast was incredibly strong even though I diluted it with hot water.

Beautiful hotel with great service, exceptional room, fantastic breakfast and dinner and of course a lovely private beach area. It was very easy and quick to step from the hotel to the beach. The surroundings are gorgeous, water most beautiful blue. Me and my husband felt very welcomed both at the hotel and the beach area. Our room was super spacious, bed was comfy and balcony was huge with a great view and lounging chairs. Couldn't ask for anything more.

The hotel is great. We were greeted by a very friendly staff and offered a complimentary welcome drink, while they were checking if the room is ready. There is a nice garden and a small pool. The private beach is right next to the hotel. It was off season so the sunbeams were free. Room was well equipped, had a nice bathroom and tea making equipment. We had a view on the pool. Breakfast was very good. with variety of sweet and sour things. Everyone was super nice and we felt extremely welcomed. The receptionist even went out of the counter to meet our small dog.

Everything was fine

Classic charm, warm atmosphere, all staff very good (end of the season but it didn’t show) especially the restaurant and housekeeping teams.

Charged for the beach towels on checkout without letting us know there would be a charge for these.
