THE BLOSSOM KUMAMOTO

The Hotel is a brand new one, contemporary internal design masterpiece, located right within the central Rail station complex and linked with multi storey shopping mall, with large food hall spreading over an entire top floor, great Sushi bar, we had our dinner there, the bus station is right in front of the hotel where you can take pre-booked daily scheduled bus to Takachiho Gourge. The reception having full height window showing an amazing view of the mountain, with mixed contemprory Japanese interials, the room was amazing and the staff where so dedicated to provide help, one of the reception staff helped us calling a Taxi to Takachiho, when we booked wrong date for the bus. We wish that we spend more than one night in the hotel, will go back again

Very upmarket and modern, good location. Room was spacious.

Parking can be onsite (underground in AMU Plaza) but the Y1k/night rate is based on not taking the car out at all during the stay, else each entry/exit will cost Y1K. If taking the car out, parking will be at adjacent train/parking lot building, near but not as convenient as the hotel’s underground parking. Given that, we chose to just park at an outdoor public carpark opposite (just across a small road)that charged a cheaper rate.

Hotel is right by railway station, no more than 100m from the exit. I was text detailed instructions prior to arrival. Confusingly you walk up to a very large industrial door which opens automatically and leads to the lifts and the 9th floor lobby. Checkin was easy and very pleasant with the help of an English speaking clerk. Our corner room was large and ideal for our three night stay. The views from the large picture windows over the city to the distant hills were spectacular. The room was clean and well equipped. Wifi worked well. The hotel is part of a large shopping mall so getting supplies is a breeze. A great stay, highly recommended.

Very comfortable room and super clean/spacious. Staff were very polite and friendly. Public bath was also nice, and check in was super easy. The self-storage for baggage was great too. Location can't be beat- it's just next to the JR station and in a mall. There is also a discounted parking at allocated car parks if you drove like we did.

Was a little difficult to find the entrance to the hotel as it's in the mall, and the signs were quite discreet. The lobby is on the 9th floor not ground. Gym was dismal-no weights, just 3 cardio machines. Will not call it a fitness studio by any means. No parking instructions sent earlier so we had to shift the car to the allocated carparks for the discounted rates but not a major issue.

We stayed here in March 2023, just 6 months ago, and despite a room mix-up, the damage control was done swiftly and smoothly. The staffs’ attitude and service impressed us so much that we decided to stay here again for our Sep 2023 trip. - Love that it’s just a literal stone’s throw away from the JR Kumamoto Station! We agave stayed here before in March 2023, and despite a few rooming hiccups, we decided to stay here again in Sep 2023 as the location was superb. - There’s a mall connected to the hotel and it’s so convenient to shop, get groceries and shop some more! - Staff are very professional and very welcoming. Though it wasn’t peak period like in March, there is always a staff on standby at the lobby to attend to any guest queries etc. Check-in was also super quick and seamless. - The hotel is attentive to every detail, even leaving a cute note and gift for my parent’s anniversary.

Things to improve on: - The main water cooler just outside the onsens is spoilt. Could only refill your water bottle from the water cooler inside the onsen. Quite troublesome at time to have to go into the onsen. It was spoilt during our entire stay. - Nothing too severe but there weren’t enough coin laundry machines in the hotel. We could easily check which ones were free and how long an occupied one will last from the tv in the comfort of our room. But the machines are always occupied too fast! Consider having more?

The best hotel I’ve stayed in for a while! Very nice ambience from entrance to the room, the lobby has amazing views and transport you to another dimension. The staff are very helpful and can speak good English. The room itself has very nice interior and is spacious. The location is perfect. Right above the JR station complex, where you can find a big shopping mall Amu Plaza. There are two parkings for this hotel - the P1 parking complex and the B1 basement parking slightly down the road of the P1 parking entrance. The basement one is smaller and has a direct lift to the hotel lobby on 9/F, whereas more walking is required if you park at P1.

The hotel is awesome! So beautifully and tastefully built on the 9th to 12th floor of a mall. Accessibility to the mall and the main train station at Kumamoto makes this hotel the best choice. The TV in the hotel also shows the availability and the remaining running time of the clothes washer! The room is spacious with the toilet and shower both separated.

We were given the wrong information that we can't park at the mall unless we are parking from the time we check in to the time we check out. We were also given 3 other options to park nearby but it was confusing where these 3 carparks were. We later found out that we could park at the mall and leave anytime we like. We only have to take the parking coupon to the reception and pay 1000yen for a 24hour period.

First the location is extremely good. It’s on the top of a shopping mall just beside the JR station. Around the square in front of the shopping mall, you could find bus stations, taxi stop and tram station. We also find many foods in the HIGO market in the JR station, so we didn’t worry about our meals. We can wash clothes by self-service washing machines easily while checking machine status from TV in room. The hotel is new, everything is clean. They have a small gazebo garden next to the lobby where you could take a rest with good view.

Though receptionist send road guidance to me in advance, it still take a while to find the gate. It willl be better to have pictures in the guidance.

The room is spacious, and the view is also spectacular. We love the public bathing area. It's not a hot spring, but it is as comfortable as it can get. There are two interesting facilities. One is the self-service laundry room, which you don't usually find in this kind of luxury hotel. I hope they can add a few more machines. The other is the self-service baggage storage room that is very close to the reception. The hotel is super close to the JR and Tram stations, that is another big plus.

The power socket is on the wall like in many other hotels. You might need to find something to support your charger from falling out of the wall. The bathroom design also wastes a lot of space, I would love to see them reorganize it if they are going to remodel the hotel sometime in the future.

Superb location and sheltered walkway to JR Station, so you do not need to worry about the weather. The hotel is connected with the shopping mall where you can find tons of restaurants, supermarkets and different shops. Breakfast is also superb! Yummy, fresh, lot of choices. We purchased the breakfast at JPY2,500 but is worth it. Pls include breakfast when you stay with them. Hotel also have Public bath, washing machine, dryer, ice cube machine, microwave and vending machine. Most importantly is hotel staffs are very welcoming and always greet us with smile and friendly to approach. We loved almost everything and will definitely come back again.

The bed and pillow are a bit hard, and the hotel price is on the high side. Overall the lighting in the room are quite dark and I have issue to put on make up.
