Tabist Kyogura Kyoto Nijo

The owner is the kindest man ever! A Philippine guy and his English is near perfect. You can see that hospitality is his nr. 1 goal, he makes you feel very welcome and makes sure that everything is up to your needs. I had a double bed room on my own so more than enough space and it's next to a train/subway station. There's also a mall with movie theater across the street with a Lawson. The train also takes you to Arashiyama in 10 minutes!

When i arrived around 1 pm there was no staff available to leave your luggage. You can leave your luggage in the reception area with lock attached but it still felt a little weird to do that. Everything was fine though

Best location. Near JR and subway. There were a small shopping mall with cinema, food and arcade. Supermarket is located 10 minutes walk away. Room was very clean when we arrived. However, the room will only be cleaned again on the 4th day of your stay. Vacuum cleaner can be found at the public walkway, feel free to use it if you need.

Friendly staff, super clean with the possibility to use coin laundry machines. It's right next to Nijo Station. Everything is quickly reachable by public transport, the area itself is super quiet and only a 5 minute walk away from a shopping passage. I'll definitely come back here!

Everything was topnotch

Convenient smoking room and laundry facilities. good sized rooms, felt very safe. enjoyed the balcony and very convenient location.

The decor was pretty outdated and one of our rooms had dark floor and black wallpaper which felt a bit dark compared to the other cream and red room.

location - JR and metro station is just across, so is a small mall. Staff - the manager/trainer was very accommodating and went out of his way to guide, assist us to famous sites to visit.

Quite often there is no one in the reception area and staff do not speak Englsh

We like the location. It is near the train station, the shops, the restaurants. The Nijo castle is within a walking distance. The room is spacious and clean.

It's hard to communicate with the staff in English. But they have the translator machine. Not a big issue

by far the biggest room I stayed in japan. really comfy and even a balcony. location is excellent.. I couldn’t recommend this any higher, best value for money I found on any city in japan, and also has a coin washer

The location was excellent and the staff was super nice. As a female traveler sometimes it's difficult to find places to stay and this one exceeds my expectations. The room was super clean, comfortable, and worth the price. It's also super accessible from the Nijo Station. :)

Great location, chilled little place, nice and quiet and 2min walk from the train station. Good restaurants close by, helpful staff, comfortable beds.
