Rihga Hotel Zest Takamatsu

We enjoyed our room space, including the bathroom. There was plenty of room for our luggage and toiletries, along with a pleasant room style. There were plenty of amenities during our stay, despite not having our room cleaned. Our favourite part of our stay was the location, being directly next to the Hyogomachi arcade and many others. Also, the station was very close and a bus stop directly outside the entrance. Definitely recommend, and would love to come back again.

There wasn't much we didn't enjoy. However, we thought the bathroom lights were slightly dark for our liking. However, it didn't defer from having a great experience with Rihga.

We paid a bit extra for a larger room & it was very spacious, as was the en-suite. The bedroom & bathroom were a little dated, but very good quality fittings. The bedroom window actually opened, which was welcome. The biggest positive for this hotel was the delicious (& regional options) at breakfast, plus the two ladies who run the show in the breakfast room. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed their banter & good humour. We hope the management realise their worth! Oh, and the location is fabulous, too. Less than a minute from all the arcades, with easy access to Ritsurin Gardens, ferry port & JR Station. We would stay again if coming back to Takamatsu.

Nothing to dislike.

Location was actually quite good - a few steps from the main shopping street, but a bit far from the train station. Staff were very friendly, all of them put in a lot of effort to help you as much as they can. Rooms were reasonably sized and well maintained. I love the smart pillow, you could have it soft or hard depending on the side you choose. Breakfast was great - very tasty and good variety. Also good luggage storage facility.

Small bathroom, but that is the norm in Japan. Other than that there was no issue.

The staffs are helpful and nice. The hotel is on a good location and can reach the shopping street in a minute. The hotel is near the Airport Express Bus stop that is very convenient for transport to airport

The parking site near the hotel is full. We need to park our car in another carpark that we need to walk for 5 minutes to take the car.

Our room was huge for Japanese standards and very well appointed and extremely clean. The bathroom was very big also. It was an easy walk from the JR station and close to the main shopping and eating arcade. From the hotel we walked to the old castle ruins and along the waterfront.

Our room was a bit warm but we opened the windows to let in cool air. They did offer to give us a fan when we asked if we could make the room cooler.

Breakfast was fantastic! A lot of choice and I was impressed by the quality of the food. The staff during the breakfast were perfect. The room was huge specially for the price we paid. The bathroom was spacious. Second time, I used it and it was almost perfect.

Noting really. Everything was on point. My only really tiny point is maybe the table for breakfast. They were really big and spacious with high quality furniture but because they are big I felt quite far from my friends. This is a minor point. Don't hesitate to book a room their you won't regret it.

Facilities are on the older side but considering the price there's really nothing to complain.

The room was clean and spaceous for the price, check in was smooth sailing and straightforward.

As it was central heating, temperature control in the room was impossible. The room I got had no openable windows, thus the temperature was too hot to be comfortable.

The property is dated but clean.. great location good breakfast helpful staff. Airport bus just outside hotel

Just a little outdated.. especially the decor, carpets and floral arrangements.. bathroom small.. but we paid very little for a room so we got what we expected

It was convenient, maybe 10 minutes walk from the JR station, and located downtown with many shops and restaurants nearby. The facilities are clean and enough. The building is beautiful, although the rooms are pretty much normal.

There was some construction work happening on the outside of the neighbouring building, only at night ... It was easy to hear other guests through walls/doors, but I think that's more of a problem with the guests!
