Hotel Lorimar

10min walk from the bus station, 2 blocks from El Malecon (main strip). A/C unit was flawless (Minisplit - excellent!). Clean, good water pressure / hot water. Wi-Fi worked excellent (only used my phone for social media and youtube videos). Bed was comfortable as well as pillows.

Outdated furniture & fixture (OK for price and area), no TV in room (as listed), they do have a TV (shared) at lobby, no additional amenities like shampoo (towel, soap and A/C remote is provided, paper rolls are in restroom OK). Very noisy in the am (first night tried to sleep in but they were working the rooms)

Hotel Lorimar was in a GREAT location. Close to the Melancon and restaurants. Staff are extremely friendly. The suite we stayed in was very clean and spacious. A lot of room for you clothes. Full kitchen if you plan on cooking. Was great for us because we were able to make breakfast every morning. Has a smaller coffee pot.

The mattress needs to be replaced. It's a little hard. A new mattress would make this place the best place to stay in La Paz. Also (I even hate to say this but maybe just to inform the owners), the table lamp in the bedroom should be rewired. The switch has a short in it.

We thought it was excellent value in an excellent location. We are on a budget as we’re travelling for a while and it was much better than many places we’ve stayed for more money: Close to the heart of everything. We had a great room with a generous balcony with a sea view. It’s on a one way road which was fairly busy on Saturday night - everyone loves a mobile disco in La Paz! - but otherwise it was exactly what you’d expect from the location and we slept soundly every night. The room was a good size with comfy sofas and a good kitchen. The fridge was brand new and enormous! Everything else was a little older but spotlessly clean. Very hot water in the shower. It was exactly what we’d hoped for. Elizabeth and Gabriel were very helpful and friendly.

There were a couple of tiny things but we let them know and they sorted them out.

The location is excellent, very close to centro and the malecon. The junior suite was very nice, clean and comfortable, although the living room was very dark. The staff especially Gabriel were very nice and helpful.

The only thing we didn't like was the shower. The shower head was old and needs to be replaced. It sprayed water everywhere except where you wanted it, which made showering a challenge. Sounds like a minor thing, but it's the only thing that keeps us from giving a rating of 10.

location, location. location. very nice staff, comfortable beds , hot showers with great water pressure. also as we we’re helping our friends wife check in the host saw that she was disabled and gladly offered a ground level room instead of the second floor room that was booked, a very kind act on her part. the room provided what we needed, comfortable, clean and with ac if needed.

for us all was fine , especially at the rate we paid. some may want a TV , but your in La Paz, get out and explore!

The location is unbeatable, just 2 min walk to the Malecon and all the action. They’re renovating the entire building and the room felt very comfortable. The room is rather small and basic, but you have all you need at a very reasonable price (900MX a night). The bed was very comfy, shower worked great and everything was super clean. We 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent place to stay in La Paz.

very central location, walking distance from malecón and city center. The staff was really friendly and helpful.

It is extremely minimalistic, no TV, no hand towels, no bath rug, no shampoo. Also very poor noise insulation, one could hear everything across the rooms.

The location of the hotel is really hard to beat & there is great restaurants nearby. The TV had plenty English speaking channels as well as the Spanish speaking ones, plus the reception was very good.

A lot of the decor in the suite/apartment was very dated eve though some of the electrical appliances were quite modern. It needs a new coat of white paint & modernizing a bit. The owner does seem to be putting work into the property though.

Staff was very friendly and check-in/out very efficient. The room was clean, very comfy bed, nice hot shower. And the WIFI was excellent. Hotel is conveniently located a couple blocks from the Malecon but away from the main hustle and bustle so it was very quiet at night. I highly recommend this place if you need a great affordable room in La Paz. Will definitely stay there again!

Great little hotel. Simple rooms, but modern and tastefully designed with everything you need and a decent size for 2 people. Had a great shower and very effective and quiet air conditioning. The staff were fantastic, and we're very happy to make bookings for us for tours and taxis. Incredible value, and a really great location that allowed us to walk everywhere.
