Hotel Plaza Diana

The hotel itself was very pleasant, good Aircon and the rooms were very clean.

We arrived at the hotel an hour and a half early and were asked to wait until our room was ready. We waited in the foyer for a few hours and were kind of forgotten about. We expected the reception to let us know when the room was ready but it wasn't until a new group arrived and got sent straight to their rooms (we had been waiting 3 hours at this point) that we asked if our room was ready. We got the key instantly but it wasn't great to be sitting around for so long. Also (in terms of the area) we had a bit of a problem with the number of homeless people, we were approached by a few (right outside the hotel) who were openly carrying makeshift knives and it really made us feel uncomfortable and pretty much ruined our Guadalajara experience.

The location is very good, it's around the Minerva, with restaurants and shops nearby. The facilities were wonderful, the AC very quiet and the shower hot and comfortable. The pool was on the small side but otherwise clean and nice. The restaurant was fantastic. The bed was huge and comfortable.

The key cards would always fail and I'd have to go to the reception to re-issue them. The internet would sometimes fail, which was a big thing for me and the only reason I cannot give the hotel a 10/10 score.

It was very clean and well maintained. most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the bus boys.

The only slight criticism to note was the in house restaurant. the food was very ordinary and staff very grumpy. All our food was cold as it had been sitting on the pass for ages. We had to send a soup back twice as it came back colder than when we sent it to be reheated. If you eat out every night you won’t have an issue with the hotel.

The staff is attentive. It is a mostly a modern hotel that doesn’t smell with a restaurant that stays open until 11pm.

It is a nice hotel but is a bit worn. The first night it was more quiet. The second and third night I can clearly hear the neighboring room’s TV, people talking loudly in the hallway, and doors slamming throughout the day. I had to change rooms because my first room wasn’t available after the first day, the second room wasn’t as cleaned and I found dirty candy wrappers.

it’s clean and it was quiet at night. bellhop was very informative and attentive.

when we got the room it had a strong chemical odor. apparently it was recently remodeled and painted, it took between 1-2 hours to get another room. by the time we were move to a different room I began to feel nauseous and had a strong headache.

Breakfast was so so. Poor meat quality. Eggs and fruit were exceptional.

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, good location for our purposes.

We wanted to extend our stay for 3 additional days, but the hotel could not accommodate us, so we had to move to another hotel nearby.

The room was spacious and guest service was pretty good, very helpful.

The elevator was small, food was not good ( we ordered different plates and most of them were not good , the onlly thing I liked was the naranjada and pancakes )

They have taxi drivers sign in for added security. Nice breakfast buffet with Mexican and American options. Restaurant staff is very attentive.

We asked for nearby rooms. Instead they gave us one room on the 1st floor and another on the 5th floor.

The best of the hotel is the restaurant (La Milonga). It has an excellent service, delicious food and varity of dishes. The value you pay for the buffette is worthwhile

Rooms quite small for families (maybe good for couples), and the bathrooms let water out the shower
