We arranged our transfer to the Riad, the minibus can only get so far as the Riad is within the Medina so once off the minibus we were guided with a cart for our luggage to the Riad. We were given a warm welcome and shown to our room. The room was small but had everything you need when we asked for a kettle it appeared with mugs quickly. They were very accommodating. Breakfast was enough, fried eggs with different breads, pancakes, tea/coffee with fresh orange juice. It was served on a lovely rooftop terrace. There is a plunge pool which is very cold, only the brave took advantage. I would definitely recommend this Riad, it was such a good location, 2 mins to souks and the staff there make you feel at home.

I do not have enough room to express the sheer delight of staying at this Riad. It has such a homely feel due to the wonderful staff who welcome you with open arms and go above and beyond in making sure you are happy, comfortable and tended to. Nour, who we absolutely adore, was an excellent host, equipped with knowledge of what trips to experience, whilst also providing shopping tips in the market. Nour gave great advice about the locality, culture, and things to do/places to see. She was exceptional as a professional, speaks multiple languages and was lovely to get to know personally - the Riad would be empty without her joyful, friendly character and warmth as a human being! Soufiane was also friendly and helpful to be around on the night shift, who made sure the pool was clean and fun to splash around in. Khadijah and Sherahzhad prepare lovely breakfasts in the morning full of local breads and spreads and juice. They were also very accommodating and ensure the Riad stays clean and set our room with bedding/towels regularly. The location is in a good location, in the hustle and bustle of central Marrakech, where you are a stroll away from Jamaa El-Fanaa Square. We would absolutely return to the Riad, even to see Nour and the staff again as this stay has been full of happy memories of a lovely break in Marrakech, hence recommending this Riad to families and friends who are wondering where to stay in Marrakech. Thank you to Nour and the team - we hope to see you again in the future <3

It is the perfect place to stay in the Medina for a traditional property, to explore the area and have a little oasis close by. The pool was amazing. It is the jewel in the crown of this property. It was perfect to be able to cool off throughout the day and night and was very refreshing. Great for a summer holiday. Very Instagramable! The staff were very helpful, particularly the man on reception every night, who was very polite and friendly . Breakfast was good. Yes, it’s in another building, but this is not an issue. It is a basic breakfast of baked goods, eggs with jam. The only thing missing is some fruit. The room was suitable for us, which is two adults and two children. We had room number seven, the amber suite. It is small, however traditional and comfortable. The air conditioning was okay. The first night it really struggled however we managed to get the room cool enough to be able to sleep. The big issues for the room is, there is nowhere to hang your clothes (as other people have previously mentioned) and nowhere to hang your bath towels - apart from two small rods in the bathroom. An easy solution would be to install some hooks and that would have been fantastic! A little fridge in the room, may have been nice too, to keep things cool . Initially, as other people have mentioned, it is a little tricky to find on maps - it shows a slightly different location. Once you find it and you know your way around, no problem. We were able to store our baggage there and collect later for our flight. They offered transfers which was very helpful, however we decided to pick up a taxi in the main market area as it was half price. Make sure to only pay 100 dirham to the airport !

We stayed at Riad Abaka for 4 nights. We had a suite between 2 of us which was clean, comfortable and had an amazing shower! The staff are friendly and helpful, some difficulties communicating but we overcame this with Google translate and it all added to the experience. They helped us with directions, transfers and organising breakfast when we were leaving before breakfast started. Lovely terrace to sit out in the evening (outside rooms 8 and 9) and on the rooftop to watch the birds. Pool a little cold but great for a foot refresh after a long day of sightseeing. All major attractions within 30 minutes walk, souks and restaurants in main square 5 minutes and straightforward to get to. Mohammed at number 60 street food (Place Jeema el Fna/night market) is so friendly and the bbq food is brill. Dinner for two with drinks 140DH. Sunset at any of the panoramic terraces is lovely but you need to book the day before to get seats at the edge of the terrace to get the best view. Terraces are on the whole cash only. We would come to Riad Abaka, thank you very much for a wonderful and memorable stay.

The riad gave you a perfect Moroccan experience. Although it was tricky to find at first the location was excellent, it was close to the main square and a beautiful walk through the markets. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the swimming pool was very useful after being in that blazing hot sun.The rooms were comfortable and atmospheric and the roof top was a great place to relax with amazing views over the medina. The breakfast was tasty with a range of traditional moroccan breads, pancakes, fruit and eggs.

They do not have facilities for dinner but this is not a problem as there are so many amazing places to eat nearby.

Staff was very helpful in guiding us. Rooms were cleaned, and towels changed daily. The beds were very comfortable. As we checked out for a day to travel to another location and coming back the next day, we were allowed to store some of the heavy luggage at the reception.

As the room was quite near to the reception, there would be some noise of people coming and going. The room size was quite small. The contact information provided through the messaging service on Booking.com was not working and it turned out to be incorrect, as I checked at the reception.

The place is tucked away, but an easy walk into the medina off of the street. The staff are very kind and friendly. The Riad itself is very nice, with plants, great ambiance, and esthetics, and comfortable beds. Also, the showers are great and there's plenty of hot water. The breakfast was perfect, and I hope to stay there again.

There's nothing I didn't like. I will, however, remember to bring water with me next time so as to avoid 'hotel prices' for water- but that's my fault.

The place is magical. Right away when you step in, the architecture of the Riad takes your breath away. Beautiful details and furnishings and an extra plus for a wonderful sunroof with birds chirping away (who would have thought the sound from the streets of the Medina could be dampened?) and another covered patio which I think will be great when it’s warmer. We used it to have our lunch because it has wonderful seating. The staff that we met Sumo (Mohammed), Fatimzara, and Amin were also super friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Fatimzara who offered a lot of advice and support to my husband who managed to get food poisoning ❤️ We even managed to get through our 3 day Sahara trip which didn’t seem possible a few days before. We would definitely come back again as this was one of the few places laces which offered one room for 5 people. It was actually a room and a hallway transformed into a bedroom with two beds, but it worked very well for us. Lovely place and heartwarming staff ❤️ Shukran 💕

on that note, the restaurant that the Riad works with has very good food and very slow service. The first day we didn’t get our jam and additions that would make our pancake and bread much better. It was also a little difficult to get coffee, but one learns and asks more specifically the next day 🙂BUT, do not eat the salad in that restaurant. We traced my husband’s food poisoning to a salad served with appetizers. He probably shouldn’t have eaten it, but we just came from a long flight and the dishes were not coming for a long time. A lesson learned- he’s still suffering 3 weeks after😢. Everything else was fine and I wouldn’t say don’t eat at the restaurant, just stay away from anything that could be washed in tap water and is raw.

Excellent location, a few streets back from the main square. Easy walk to lots of cafes and restaurants. My kids loved the decor of the room. Bathroom was clean, huge shower. Plunge pool was lovely to cool down in the heat of the day. Lovely, chatty staff.

Breakfast - It took over 30 minutes to be served on two days we were there. There is only a short time frame for breakfast so everyone tends to arrive at once. The ladies serving were very busy but needed more support to serve in a timely manner.

It’s in the middle of the medina, and it is a really beautiful place with a pool, terraces, the staff are super nice and really clean

The taxis can’t have access to the Riad, so you still have to walk about 5-7 min to get there, and the streets are a bit sketchy/scary specially at night. In the summer it’s super hot and the room that we stayed is direct to the sun almost all day, so even with the AC on it was always too hot ( it’s not the Riad fault, it’s just the way it was built ). If you want to pay at the riad, they don’t accept card, and always pay with euros, because we paid with dirahm and they applied a tax for converting in dirham, even though the lady told us that it was better to pay in dirahm ( so my advice, either pay before you go, or withdraw your money in euros in your home country and ask to pay in the first night you get there )
