TUI BLUE Medina Gardens - Adults Only - All Inclusive

My partner and I stayed at Medina Gardens for 2 nights after returning from a dessert tour. Our stay was pleasant. We booked a room with a jacuzzi but unfortunately had difficulties getting it to the correct temperature -it took over 7 hours to preheat to the correct temperature! Our neighbours had difficulty getting their jacuzzi to work also. Once the ideal temperature was reached, we enjoyed the jacuzzi whilst watching the sunset which was a lovely experience. We would advise you to get two key cards and leave one in the room to keep the electricity on as the jacuzzi would stop preheating once you take your card out of the card holder. During our February stay (it was 20 degrees outside) we felt the jacuzzi needed to be above 36 to be enjoyable. The food was above average for a resort but the desserts were lovely. The facilities were clean and modern. We enjoyed our walks in the gardens and visited the turtle garden, which was cute. Unfortunately at checkout we were told that we needed to leave our room at 12pm despite booking.com stating checkout is between 1200-1500, however we were allowed to keep our luggage at the front desk whilst we visited la Jardin Marjoulle.

This hotel is excellently and discreetly located in the center of Marrakech. Our room was spacious, clean, and well equipped. The buffet food style meals were excellent (and I mean excellent), varied, and of high quality. The smaller (heated) pool was also very good. Can't fault the staff either.

Although not wholly necessary, the in-between meals could have been better (given the standard of the hotel). We saw little evidence of them at all, and what we did see was extremely limited. The hotel has air-conditioning but it was not switched on (hotel-wide). When questioned, they told us to open the room patio doors, which then attracted unwelcomed noise! It was March so perhaps not hot for locals. Both minor points to be fair!

The hotel was absolutely wonderful. The grounds were very well kept and clean. We booked a room with a jacuzzi which was lovely. We even had our own little garden area to sunbathe and relax. The buffet options were plentiful throughout the day and the head chef Said was very attentive as were other staff members. The spa was lovely and I treated myself to a hammam and massage which was amazing. The girls were fantastic and I would definitely recommend. The location was spot on! Just a short walk to the main square and the souks.

The only thing I would say is there could have been more deck chairs. Also people would just leave a towel on one for the whole day without even using which was a little frustrating. But nothing else apart from that.

We loved most of the things about this hotel. The food was great, the facilities were just what we'd expected and the room fitted out needs. We really loved the activities and we want to particularly thank Ellie, Chloe and Gee. They made the holiday. Both of us participated in various activities during the day and the evening entertainment.

The only issue we had was that sometimes when we asked for certain drinks they were swapped without telling us. We only drink Diet Coke/ Pepsi Max, but we're sometimes served full fat versions without being told. We started watching which bottles were used. It seemed such a waste. We also had random alcohol added to Daiquiris at times.

The hotel is amazing! The pools and gardens are beautiful and the food is so good! They had a local night where there was live traditional music and food, it was great might! there’s always a great range of food on any day. We actually preferred the food in the main restaurant than the culinarium but that restaurant is lovely to be in. The location was perfect, central marrakech and we walked most places to see the sights! Despite how central it was there was no noise in the hotel. The drinks range was also great and most of the staff really helpful and lovely! We would definitely return.

Some of the staff had favourites who tipped them and often got better service than others but this didn’t bother us much. We went to the pool party and shisha tasting organised by the TUI reps but we wouldn’t do either again as they weren’t very good. But these are minor things in an otherwise incredible stay!

Great location for Medina and Souks. Friendly, efficient and professional staff. Food variety in main buffet restaurant was good on each individual lunch and dinner but it did become a little samey after a few days. Breakfast selection was fair but could do with a few more cereals. The whole resort was kept nice and clean. Bar staff were brilliant, especially in main bar, at keeping drinks topped up and they got to know what you liked.

Bed was extremely hard. Pool towels were old and could do with replacing.

The location of the hotel is excellent, it is a 10 minute walk to Medina and Souks. The food choice was excellent as you could choose between traditional Moroccan dishes and European food. The staff were so accommodating and helpful. Everyone is super friendly and happy to help out where they can, including the TUI reps. There is entertainment on most nights so if you don’t want to leave the hotel you don’t need to. There are 2 pools, one where there is daily activities and a relaxing one, both pool areas are spotless!

Upon arrival we were upgraded to a Double Room with Pool View, which was a nice surprise. Our room was of good size with a very comfortable bed. Bottled water was topped up in your room everyday and was also available around the hotel, to which you could just help yourself. The reception staff were always on hand to answer queries and helped us out when we had trouble trying to get hold of one of our tour operators regarding an excursion the next day. The restaurant served a fantastic range of food, which was always freshly prepared. The chefs, waiting and bar staff were all excellent. The hotel is set in beautiful gardens which were very pleasant to walk around and the gym was fully equipped with a variety of machines. I especially liked the TUI app which you could download, giving you details on all the activities and classes going on each day. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. I had the Hammam Experience and a full body massage at the spa. It was lovely; but not one for the prudish! We wanted to use the tennis court, but sadly, owing to torrential rain a couple of days before we arrived, the clay court hadn't had time to dry out, but obviously this is no fault of the hotel! If we had stayed at the hotel for seven days, we would have been able to have a meal at their a la carte restaurant, so bear that in mind if you are booked in for a week or more. The hotel is centrally located; less than a ten minutes walk to the Jemaa el-Fnaa and The Koutoubia Mosque. Bearing in mind that this is a TUI hotel, a lot of people go to sunbathe and not leave the complex (which is a real shame as Marrakech has so much to offer). So, whilst we were able to get sun-loungers when needed, this might not be the case in the height of summer!

The roof top garden was closed for refurbishment, which was a real shame. I was advised by other guests that we should have had bath robes in our room, which we needed to use for the spa. Our cleaner must have missed putting them into our room, but I could easily get some from reception.

No kids 🥳🥳🥳🥳 Location is excellent 👌 Great sized main pool👌 Main buffet food was a high average - to very good! 👌 Cater for all requirements 👌 The other restaurant is great for lunch but needs to be booked for an evening meal 👌 Very clean 👌 The hotel staff are very good & attentive! 👌 Our maid was lovely!🌺 The staff in the Spa are amazing! 👏 Cute kittens 💖 Our room (1314) was excellent 👌 Had a huge bed, safe, fantastic hair-dryer & a large balcony overlooking the pool... 👌 Excellent service... 🥳

The disabled ramps need attention! I'm not disabled but I couldn't even walk up one as it was so steep! (Near the lifts in reception). The pool needs steps on the left as you look at it from reception as there aren't any (being fussy). Pool beds are all around the pool - too close & almost like an assault course some days! From the jacuzzi into the pool is difficult & there is a big drop after - just warning in case you are not a confident swimmer. 👌 The entertainment is diabolical - at best! But we did have a great laugh! 👍

A fabulous place to stay, the staff were incredible and really made our holiday special. The restaurant had a great variety of food and the quality couldn't be better. Good selection of drinks and the facilities and entertainment team were excellent too. It's truly hard to find any faults.

The entertainment at night was pretty good although we'd have liked a little more choice of activities until the bar closed but it kept us amused nonetheless!
