Appreciated access to laundry facilities and friendly staff.

Quite steep steps to upstairs units for older folks carrying luggage.

When I arrived I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist, she made me feel welcome which instantly gave this place a plus for me. The room is modest, but comfortable and they have really gone above and beyond for motel facilities! The heating was already on so the room was nice and warm, the beds had electric blankets and the kitchen had everything you need, including free coffee and tea and an area to cook. They also have sky channels, so it's easy to relax after a long day out.

It's hard to pick things to not like, considering this is a motel. I think they've done very well, but if I have to say one thing it would be the water pressure of the shower and the comfort of the pillows. Besides these things, everything was great!

I stayed at Midway Motels when I was visiting Oamaru back in February. A very nice place to stay so I went back this time.

When booking through Booking.com the price was $125. When I paid at the Motel I was charged $127.50. The only thing I can think of is that I asked for a slightly earlier check-in time of 1.30pm instead of 2.pm. I have asked at times for earlier or later check-in/check-out times in Motels I have stayed at throughout NZ and have never been charged. This was disappointing and never mentioned to me.

The accomodation was very comfortable and easy room to spend time in. The bed large and very comfortable. The bathroom easy to access and use. Great kitchen in our room so we could use it to cook. Wifi works well. TV easy to use. Set up off our room very usable. The lay who is the owner there is a very easy get along with lady who provides heaps of information and very friendly. Thank you for our accomodation and would have no problem staying there again.

Clean room, it had everything we needed :) kitchen is small but well equipped and bathroom is nice too. There was a functioning new heater and beds were comfy. I especially liked that we could move the double bed, to create a massive triple bed so that our baby doesn't fall off her bed :D (of course, we moved everything back to original position when leaving). It is walking distance to town (even though we drove). Oamaru is great <3

The location is nice BUT a bit loud: opposite the fire-fighters' station and right on the main highway. So it can get a bit loud.

Older motel so spacious room. Spotlessly clean and comfy bed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had issues with the internet on my laptop which could not be resolved. Everything there we needed. Quiet location, no road noise.

Older motel in need of upgrading which is difficult under the present conditions with not much clientele. Bathroom shower in particular was very old, hole in the back of the door in the WC. Older kitchen cupboards . Carpet worn.

Super comfy bed, Shower good strength Very clean and tidy Owners lovely 😁 East walk to town to see all that Oamaru has to offer 😊

Wasn't that we didn't like but the rooms are getting close to needing a good spruce up especially the bathrooms as quite dated but still functional People in upstairs units we could hear very clearly when they went wees lol

Stayed 3 nights in a deluxe studio Clean and spacious. Well equipped enough for proper cooking. Great shower. Had two very comfortable recliner armchairs rather than the 'waiting room' type couches common in motels. Despite being on the main road, quiet enough as long as the windows on that side were shut.

Only minor things: Bedhead (fixed to wall) was squeaky until I pulled the bed away from the wall slightly. Shower head wouldn't stay up, Less hassle to tighten the screw myself than complain.

Outside of motels look a bit tired but the stairs were a nightmare. I would not stay in an upstairs room again. The room also needed a bit of attention. Leaking tap and just a general bit of attention to the decor needed

spacious clean unit. Anything we needed for cooking or bathroom was sorted for us as we were a long stay. It was very comfortable. The staff very friendly.

Bit difficult to get out of our parking space if other cars parked in wrong place.
