The shower was great and as a mobility impaired person, having handrails etc was so helpful. It was also handy to public transport.

The sloping floor to the bathroom was a little challenging in the middle of the night. Breakfast was a little pricey but a nice treat.

Thank you for a fantastic place to stay during our weekend getaway! Staff from reception and restaurant were friendly and engaging. Room was adequate with a BIG comfortable bed. The buffet breakfast had delicious bacon and hash browns topped off with fresh fruit and four tasty juice options - the fresh pineapple and pineapple juice were by far the best! Location of the Ibis is a winner. So close to the train station and easy walking distance to the waterfront, Cuba Street, Courtney Place and for us an enjoyable walk to the Zoo.

The only negative is the limited amount of parking spaces available; the cost of having our car at a Wilson’s parking building over the weekend was shocking!

The rooms were clean and comfy, housekeeping staff were lovely, buffet breakfast was great every morning, we loved it was right in town so wasn't a mission to bus or walk everywhere. Was also a 2 min walk to the new years eve celebration at the waterfront. Shower pressure was amazing.

There was one lady on reception I found quite rude, sorry cant remember her name. I know it wasn't Maddy though, I feel like she was either having a bad day or just didn't like me for some reason or another but unfortunately in hospitality you should be kind and at least crack a smile and be a wee bit more welcoming to people who aren't causing you any grief. Also we stayed in the twin rooms, for the price of them I felt like there should've at least been a microwave not just a jug, was a wee bit annoying that we had to eat out every night with 7 of us but unfortunately twin rooms were the only available on our dates so if we were to ever stay again we would be going to a room with a kitchen.

The Ibis provided value-for-money for a short stay in Wellington CBD before departure on a bicycle tour. One block from Willis Street (downtown) in one direction and one block from the waterfront with its many attractions in the other direction mean that the Ibis is ideally situated for visitors. The room was quiet and comfortable, including a comfortable bed, providing all I needed for a brief hotel stay. I had breakfast provided as part of my room package and the hot and cold offerings were suitably diverse and well presented.

Customer service was excellent. Friendly, approachable, responsive to a small need to change a light bulb and the receptionist herself came up and changed it. The restaurant is particularly good and very well run. The manager was really kind and friendly giving us other suggestions for our short stay. Their coffee was great. Rooms as you'd expect and no issues at all. It's central, easy for a visitor to navigate the city from on foot and allows you to see a great deal of it as a result. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Nothing.

The room was spacious and clean. They had a good buffet of breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful.overall pleasant experience. They provide a pillow menu which is fun. Location is great. 5 mins walking distance from all major spots in the city. Many cafes and restaurants all around.

Breakfast was repetitive. The same menu was served everyday. They could change the menu sometimes. There was no toothpaste or toothbrush in the bathroom.expected a toothpaste at least as a part of their toiletries.

It was cleaner than a lot of hotels I've stayed in, even the more expensive ones. The location was so convenient, it was smoke-free and it was so QUIET despite being in the city and there being lots of guests and activity. Smiley and helpful staff, which is always a plus.

No water bottles in the room, and it would've been great if there was room service. You have to go down to the restaurant as they don't deliver to your room, and the menu didn't offer many choices. It's a budget hotel so I guess that's why, but I wouldn't have minded paying extra for that, it makes it easier when you've got kids or are too tired to go out to buy a bottle of water.

Two very comfy double beds in the decent sized room. Pillow menu available ! Decent sized shower with plenty of hot water and a nice high pressure. Room was warm Could hear some traffic noise but have had worse at other hotels in Wellington. Central city location was brilliant. Thunderbird Cafe directly across the road from the hotel entrance do great brunches & coffee.

Noise from the corridor from other guests (not helped with a child running up & down the corridor while his father shouted at him at 6 in the morning) Fridge was quite noisy so we would turn it off overnight.

I really liked the size of the Business suite that I had booked. It is the first time I've stayed in this type of suite and would definitely book again

There are a few things that can improved: - The hairdryer could have been better quality or higher voltage - A shelf in the shower would have been great! - Attention to existing appliances in the rooms (The jug in my room did not work) - A charging station in the room would be good - An extra blanket. (I turned off the air-conditioning because it was too loud. The room temperature was comfortable though)

The room was clean and good for 2 ladies traveling. Separate double beds was a plus! The location is great! Central and the surrounding streets are well lit at night. It is close to all shops, amenities, harbour, and attractions in wellington CDB Taxi stand just outside the doors, too! Good value for money. I will definitely stay here again.

The room and carpet are showing age, and the bathroom is dated and is on the smaller side. The front of house staff were mostly nice and helpful, but some of the ladies were not so engaging to customers. The friendliest staff we met was at the restaurant, and the housekeeper was all smiles and helpful. She was great!
