We upgraded to a room with a balcony and beautiful views of the sea.The room was large and very well furnished, with a new shower and bathroom suite.The whole place was exceptionally clean and there was daily room service if wanted. Whitianga is a great place to visit for those that enjoy the sea and beach or the sea fishing or just watching life from one of the many beach cafes , bars and restaurants.

Room was beautiful, modern and had all the amenities you would need for a short to long stay. Dishwasher, oven, microwave. Lovely toilet with plenty of towels and very smart looking. Couch and two arm chairs made it easy to relax and enjoy the view.

Only fault, was it was little loud with the traffic flow, due to being next to the main turning for the coastal road. Not much the place can do. Still had a great nights sleep with the doors shut and ceiling fan on.

Great spot near the beach! Friendly and welcoming staff, who were also very helpful during the booking and pre-arrival process. Good rooms with all the expected facilities and close to shops for required supplies.

It was a little noisy, being right on the main road and some of the guests got up very early and made a bit of noise. Otherwise, everything was great.

Very cozy place to stay and if cleanliness is important this place is spotless. We are a family of 4 and kids love it right in front of beach and we borrowed the boogie boards for free from the friendly owners. Highly recommends!

Lovely host, welcoming and friendly. We loved getting to use their kayaks and stand up boards on the river which starts just accross the road from the property. Beautiful view from the unit of the ocean and a great outdoor table and chairs to enjoy the view from too. Exceptionally clean and tidy unit and includes all you need in the kitchen for making easy family meals.

Rooms were nicely appointed with a kitchenette and stove. Great sitting area outside the room facing the ocean and a nice lawn. Can park right behind your room. The owners were very helpful and friendly.

Location is great, but you most likely would drive to the main restaurants in the center of town. The motel is on a roadway, but you can't avoid that if you want a view of the bay.

A terrific location, an easy walk to the restaurants, and with unfettered views of the sea. All the furnishings etc needed for a few days stay.

As with almost everywhere, the kitchen knives were fairly blunt. I usually take a sharpener on my travels, but such things should be a standard element of every kitchen!

Lovely hosts. Excellent accommodation. Well stocked for cooking and eating in. Loved the salt shaker and the jug of milk in the fridge! Literally across the road from the beach and 2 mins drive to Whitianga main street and the boat ramp. We relaxed immediately, great calm atmosphere, beachside vibe. Highly recommended, just not when we want to visit! 5 stars 🌟

Was all excellent. The entry to the room was a little confusing. 3 doors in close proximity. Easily fixed! We didn't expect a second bedroom. Next time we'll bring our son or the grandkids.

Everything was wonderful. The apartment was beautiful, fresh, clean and modern. The location and the view was just stunning. The hosts were friendly, informative and laid back. Wonderful place and would definitely stay again!

If there was anything it was just the rubbish. Would have been great to have a big bin to put it in ourselves rather than leaving it outside the unit. Did that and it was there when we returned. Ended up just keeping it in our room until check out.
