Hotel Bagoeira

Very centrally located in the town. Rooms spacious and clean. Staff helpful and there's a reception desk on hand. Breakfast was quite good. Went to the attached restaurant for dinner where the staff were attentive and food good.

I stayed on the night of the "Festa das Cruzes" which was very loud and there was noise until about 4:30am so didn't sleep great. Though not the hotel's fault and my rating doesn't reflect this. I was given a room at the back of the hotel which I think helped. Hotel probably could do with a little modernising.

The location was perfect for the Camino. i was leaving early before breakfast was served but I was supplied with a packed version instead.

Lacking in energy. No bar. There was what felt like a thick waterproof mattress protector on the bed. When pulling the sheet out at the side to allow entry to the bed, the tucked-in sides of the protector were pulled out. During the night, the now unsecured protector became rucked up into uncomfortable hard ridges detracting from a comfortable night’s sleep.

We stayed here while we were on our Camino o porto to Santiago. The room and the facilities were welcomed after our long walk, we can recommend the hotel's restaurant too which had lovely good quality food and wine at a reasonable price. The hotel reception desk helped us to organise sending our bagpacks to our next destination (we had no idea how to do this at that stage) and it worked like a dream! The breakfast was far better than we expected and set us well fed on our Camino.

Good location for walking the Camino. The Festa das Cruzes was on during our stay 6 May, with plenty of eat places and a lovely atmosphere. The staff was very good, and helpful There was a bath in our room that was nice to have after a long walk. The towels and bedding was white and good. Our room was facing the street and festival, but it was not too noisy. The breakfast was good.

Perfect location for visiting the weekly market, just across the road. We could watch the set up. Also very central to the old city,just a short walk down the road. Room was very clean, great bathroom. Room was very quiet despite it central location. Great to have a lift for easy access to top floors. Check in was friendly and efficient even though we were a little early.

Bed was very hard with little padding so not a great sleep.

Perfect location, near very good restaurants, in a lovely small city. Excellent breakfast, with lots of choices, and very good coffee. If you're walking the Camino, consider a rest day in Barcelos to enjoy the wonderful Thursday market across the street.

I decided to stay a second night and assumed the price would be the same. My fault for not checking, but it was nearly double, because I booked directly at the front desk and not through Booking. Buyer beware!

Modern 3 star hotel, great location right in downtown Barcelos, steps to most of the interesting sites. Room was modest in size, clean. Related restaurant next door is a bit pricy but the service is of a very high quality as is the food. I choose the restaurant for both dinners of my two nights stay and was not disappointed. The restaurant is extremely popular with the locals - there was a line-up for lunch on Easter Sunday.

Location, right on the main square, value was brilliant, comfortable and warm. Price included a continental breakfast too - loving the fresh bread rolls here. Also had a bath which is great for a Camino Dude.

Mattresses had some form of vinyl cover on them, not an issue but did notice.

Good location, nice view from large windows over town and what happened to be the Market place on our day of departure. Believe it’s one of the largest markets in Portugal. Large room, clean, quite with bath for weary feet after a days walk. Nice breakfast.

It’s close to the city center. Nice options for breakfast. The bed is very comfortable.

Staff is very business like and I didn’t really feel welcomed except hose keeping ladies are very friendly and nice. No electric outlet near bed.
