Hotel Mercure Braga Centro

Nice rooms, comfortable bed with two pillows per person, clean rooms and the cleaning includes mopping the floors every day. Location is really close to the city center of Braga in walking distance. Bathroom has a nice shower. The sink has a lot of storage space around it to put skincare or makeup products. The television is quite large for hotel standards and contains a lot of channels to relax before going to bed.

Parking was not clear upfront; it’s 10 euros per day for the underground parking lot which admittedly is a good deal because usually it would be 58 euros. There are a few parking spots in front of the hotel which is also paid parking from 9 to 19:00 and can only be paid for 2 hours in advance. Unfortunately that parking is quite full in the evening often and a lot of people are unable to properly park for some reason so some spots are “free” but unusable. Although the room was very clean, the blow dryer was forgotten in cleaning and I had to clean it myself because it obviously had not been cleaned in a while. The bathroom had multiple lights but one of the lights around the mirror was on a timer which turns on/off at intervals. A button would’ve been nice to control it manually

Excellent staff, clean, spacious and well-equipped rooms. We enjoyed a tasty evening meal and great breakfast. The pool was an added bonus at the end of such a hot day. The hotel is close to the city centre so don't expect a great view, but we had a peaceful night despite being next to a busy road.

wi-fi in the roof top bar does not work continuously, no gym, overpriced food - I ordered pizza and Bacalhau com natas for room service and it was terrible. The food in the restaurant is great but really overpriced so we ended up eating out most of the days

very pet-friendly hotel. Was a surprise! Breakfast was better than expected. Underground parking right in front of the hotel. We stayed in the superior double room with a balcony. Nice size room.

Constant rain during the 2 days we stay in the hotel and was not easy or practical to dry shoes or coats (including the dog raincoat) in the room.

Staff is very friendly and the front desk was well versed in English which helped us a lot. The pool is amazing with a great view. Location was everything. Close to everything.

Paid parking to stay at the hotel is a little much and think it should be included for visitors.

Second visit to Braga region. We chosen this hotel again. Well located for Braga and neighboring regions. Good breakfast (orange juice freshly prepared). Comfy beds. AC worked well (it was very hot outside).

I would prefer shower to bathtub. For a future refurbishment ...

The kindness of the staff and the cleanliness level maintained was really good. Location was easy and far from center noise.

Maybe extend the pool opening times. Closing at 20h it's too early for visitors and in summer (maybe 22pm as other 4-5 stars in other places at Portugal)

The room was spacious, and very clean. Comfortable bed, and good shower. Everything in the room was very practical/well designed. The breakfast buffet was good. It is only a short walk (5 minutes) to the old center of Braga

the hotel is close to a busy noisy road. But I asked and got a higher floor room, so the traffic noise was hardly an issue

i enjoyed staying here a lot. the room was spaceous, clean and very quiet (i asked for a quiet room). the pool and pool bar were great, with good cocktail prices. the staff was really nice and helpful as well.

Nice friendly & helpful staff

The morning traffic outside room 507 woke me up every morning. There were cups and a kettle in the room but there were no Coffee; Tea; sugar or milk sachets. Also a bottle of water would have been appreciated.
