Eurotel Altura

We were upgraded to a very spacious suite , which was unexpected and wonderful! The extensive breakfast buffet with fresh squeezed orange juice was a delicious way to start the day. The hotel provides a beautiful, serene setting for a relaxing beach vacation in a sleepy town.

The suite only has one AC unit that faces the sitting area so on hot days, the bedroom and the outer room with the sofa bed were quite warm. The ramp leading to the hot tub and sauna were very slippery - someone could easily fall there and get hurt.

Breakfast is excellent, every food very tasty, natural and fresh orange juice and fresh exotic fruits. Hotel restaurant on the beech (UCA) is outstanding. Proximity of the beach is perfect. Great swimming pool. Lovely little treats on the room (doces algarvios) and Nespresso machine, were absolutely delicious and fresh.

Bathroom needs renovation and design. Noise from the corridor is very audible and a little annoying. There should be bar service on the restaurant balcony overlooking the pool. There should be bikes for rent.

It is right on the beach, the view was beautiful and at night the moonlight on the ocean was great. The breakfast buffet was nice although nothing special. The room was clean and they did a good job every day. We sent out laundry and it came back the same day, folded nice although it was a bit expensive. We did not use the pool, we went to the beaches in the area and sent one day on the beach by the hotel which was very nice. The little town is nice too, there are restaurants, and a little fair for the kids, a show, night market, its a very central location.

The elevators are very small, so you have to wait. The front desk people were not that helpful. The stand at the pool where there was supposed to be towels never had a person there to get new towels.

Visible signs of renovation work conducted, although manifesting to a different extent throughout a hotel. Excellent sea view dominating the scenary, free onsite parking. Surprisingly good breakfast with fresh orange juice and sparkling wine. Air conditioner working properly (even though it looked like a piece of aged plastic turning yellow due to its age), Nespresso coffee machine (looked new) and a fridge in the room.

The bathroom renovation was not deep enough, but rather cosmetic. The breakfast space was bit limited and therefore congested and required a waiting time to get sitted. The beach restaurant was charging ridiculous prices, almost 4 euro for 1.5 liter of water, the menu was bit ordinary same as the enthusiasm (or its lack) of emloyees was not convincing and turned us back.

Breakfast was good. Lots of variety however bacon and sausage can be of a better quality. Everything else was really good. Treat and wine ok first day which is a really nice touch and 2 hours use of indoor pool with steam room everyday with great relaxation area. Good food and lots of restaurants around the area as well. We had the most beautiful sea view room on 10th floor… worth paying extra

Bathrooms can be cleaned little better. Bacon and sausage quality can be improved. Need a car to visit other parts of Algarve - about 45 mins drive from main parts but altura is also lovely and relaxing although in a rural area of Algarve. Very close to Seville so you can drive there.

The facilities provided by the property was very good. The bathtub, swimming pool, sauna, spa, minigolf, were there.. the property was just right on the beach.

The room was not sound proof. At night around 2am we heard a lot of noise either from our adjacent room or from room above. Because of which we woke up from our sleep, which was not a good experience for us. Breakfast buffet on all three days was exactly the same (100% same). we as travellers would expect some variety even if it is only 10% change

nice big room, comfy beds, the view to sea was spectacular! pool, boardwalk, personnel all great. servers removed plates promptly - attentive but not intrusive.

the food was below standard. breakfast disappointing. Cold eggs. inedible bacon like it was cooked 2 days before and re-heated. it had the texture of leather and was impossible to chew or cut with knife! Coffee was good. But with a full buffet dinner -- to charge for a coffee! the free bottle of wine was a nice touch, but if we'd known the food would be so blah we would have eaten elsewhere and bought our own wine. DISAPPOINTING.

Good selection of food to suit all people. Room was nice and bed was very comfy, loved the beach, stayed at this hotel several times and would recommend to family and friends.

Unfortunately although there was a good selection of food at breakfast the cooked option was cold, we tried different times of the morning to have breakfast, even the food when it came out of the kitchen wasn't warm, we were very disappointed. Also the day we left we wasn't offered any breakfast the morning of our flight, even a flask of coffee would have been nice for people who were leaving early. Basically we paid for bed / breakfast but only received breakfast for 4 days not the 5 we had paid for. So a gesture coffee / tea would have been nice, especially as there are no kettles in the rooms. Might sound picky but important to us / some people.

Perfect location, walking distance to the beach and to the Altura village center with restaurants, coffees, etc. Breakfast with a huge variety. All rooms have seaside view. Quiet and clean room with all the necessary ammenities. We had a room upgrade and that was awesome! The room was super cozy! Parking available for free. Elevator. Super kind staff. I trully recommend this hotel!!!
