Pedras Da Rainha

We booked this last minute to stay with our two dogs and we were pleasantly surprised! We had a studio apartment (77) and it was lovely! Recently refurbished, very clean, everything you need. Tea and coffee facilities provided in the room. We visited in November and it was very quiet and peaceful. Not many occupied apartments around us. Cabañas de Tavira is very small so it’s easy to walk everywhere from the apartment. Staff were friendly and helpful. Dogs were welcomed and for no extra cost. Gardens were beautiful and well kept. We would definitely stay again!

We liked everything! As previously said, there is no internet in the room, only in the communal areas. The whole site is too big for internet to reach every apartment. But we knew this before arriving and it wasn’t a problem.

Fabulous complex & apartment. Clean and well-appointed accommodation. There could be a steep flight of steps to your apartment, so check that out beforehand if it is likely to be an issue.Staff are excellent, very helpful, and friendly. Great location with complimentary tourist train( you could walk it's only 10-15 minutes)and then short boat ride to cabanas beach. The pool & cafe on site are very good and not expensive. We didn't try the restaurant as buffet style & not to our personal taste. Very good selection of restaurants & bars within a short walk . Most have really good live music a couple of nights a week.

The restaurant was buffet style. We prefer a la carte.

Facilities were great and in excellent condition. Good reception functionality and services. Nicely situated near to beach, nice cafés, bars and restaurants. Nice green surroundings and pleasant buildings.

1 floor and bathroom cleaning within a week would have been nice. Especially because it is difficult not to get sand into the rooms. A few times waiting time for one of the only two boats to beach became a bit long - especially when it was very hot and there was no sun shade shelter.

The check in procedure was very friendly and polite, I arrived very early and the room preparation was completed as I shopped for provisions. The staff had turned the heater on for me and also did this whilst I was out in the evening. Very thoughtful. The facilities in the apartment were all clean and in good order. It is January and a little chilly and overcast, I think the venue will be very different and colourful from spring onwards.

Their own supermarket was closed and I used the spar adjacent to the site so there was no inconvenience. The room had been well cleaned though there was evidence of dog hair in places.

We thought the service was wonderful. The staff are friendly, accommodating, and professional. The property (reception, pool, restaurant/bar, the grounds) were lovely. The food was excellent. We can’t wait to come back when the supermarket and main restaurant are open. We plan on returning and staying for a longer period of time.

Is there a hot tub? The end of February was too chilly to go in the pool but a hot tub would have been nice. Everything else was great!!

Cleanliness. Equipment within the room meant you had everything you needed. Location is perfect and it has all the facilities you need on site. Staff were amazing.

The air con unit wasn't working properly, but given time of year didn't really matter. Room could get cold though, so would be absolutely perfect for Summer. Only other slight negative, the pillows, no matter where I go so that's not exclusive to Pedras.

Pedras is perfectly situated in the middle of Cabanas. 3 mins walk to the costal boardwalk with lots of restaurants. Staff are very helpful. Apartments are spotless and include brand new appliances..DW, washing machine, hob, microwave and full oven. Spar shop on your doorstep. 10 minutes walk to train station that takes you to Faro in one direction and Spain in the other. Would return in a heartbeat

A lovely green/ garden property with good sports amenities. A short walk to the boardwalk and ocean and restaurants on the waterfront. A very well equipped apartment with balcony facing the pool. Daily maid service. Very helpful 24/7 staff at reception. Bus stop right at the front door. A handy grocery store nearby.

No wifi in the units, had to got to the bar or lounge area- good reception in both places.

Studio flat was well-equipped in terms of kitchen equipment. The fridge/freezer was excellent. Having air-conditioning was very good. Liked the fact the staff changed our accomodation when we saw that the first option would have been next to the car park with a search light going off continually as people passed by. Instead we had a nicer first floor apartment with a nice view.

The number of sun beds was too small for the size of the complex. More sunbeds needed & pool was on the small size so became very crowded. Cleaners came in the evening which was less convenient for us as we were showering after being at the beach all day from early in the morning & apartment had been vacant & available for cleaning all day. Once the cleaners only took rubbish & left new bags & towels & didn't sweep or mop the floors because we were showering so we didn't receive the full service available on that occasion, as a result. The air conditioning unit worked but the bottom section on it was needing replacement.

The overall location is perfect almost mid way between the train station and sea front. It has a well maintain pool but also a free mini-train and free boat to cross the lagoon to the beach. The accommodation had everything we needed and a lovely terrace to soak in the lovely views and relax. The staff is very friendly and was always willing to help with info. We hope to be back soon.
