Lovely retreat in the middle of the countryside. The rooms are very confortable, with views of the fields, and the bathroom has natural light. The swimming pool is a peaceful bliss, with only the cows for company, and a nice table under a big tree where you can relax or take a snack. The breakfast is made of fresh natural products: delicious orange juice, local cheeses and ham, freshly made bread, eggs made to order, yogurt and granola. In the breakfast room there is a coffee machine and kettle you can use, and free apples from the farm. The best part: amasing hosts, very helpful and kind, who try to help in any way they can... Good location to go to the amasing Passadiços do Mondego. Best to go in the Spring or Autumn as it gets very hot in Summer months.

There is no fridge in the room, but you can use one in the yard.

Peaceful location, owners were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. After a long journey, we were greeted by Joaquim and his father, also Joaquim, and were immediately invited to join them outside, where we were given drinks and nibbles of local cheese and home made jams. We enjoyed an extremely pleasant hour chatting to them over a gin and a glass of wine. We had a spacious room with a super king sized bed, lovely crisp white sheets, a large bathroom, a balcony with table and chairs. Breakfast was a feast - locally made bread, homemade jams, yogurt with fruit and granola, pastries, meats and cheese. We were offered eggs but couldn’t have managed them as well! Freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious coffee. We really can’t recommend this place highly enough and we’re sorry we only stayed one night.

We throughly enjoyed our stay Mr. Joquim and his team made us very welcome and catered to our every need. Our room had a varanda with beautiful views over the countryside. It was a great place to relax after walking around the surrounding area. Guarda was a short walk away and the passadiços do Mondego a 20 minutr drive. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay surrouned by nature I would highly recommend booking this accommodation. The rooms are extremely clean and very comfortable..

Our Hosts were incredible and went above and beyond to make our 5 day stay wonderful and memorable. They served an excellent and generous breakfast and booked dinner reservations for us at great restaurants. Our room was beautiful with great views and had all the amenities one could wish for. The bed was comfortable with great pillows. The property itself and common area in the main house are well anointed with furniture and beautiful touches. There is also a swimming pool and lounge chairs which is great for an afternoon swim after a day of touring and hiking. The property itself is in a great location. Being an experienced world traveler, I highly recommend staying at this property.

If you want a perfect quite and restful place like you were spending a days or vacations at your own week-end house, or your family's country house, this is the place. Make no mistakes, this is really the place. The owners warm welcome, sympathy, simplicity with the highest standards of good manners makes you feel like family or a long time friend. The house is sumptuously well decorated respecting the heritage of cultural, regional and the centenary house context with a contemporaneous twist done by an interiors architect that has done a marvelous work. The breakfast and breakfast room have it all and nothing is been left to chance: Regional's best products as cheese, ham, prosciutto, wonderful scrambled eggs, yogurt with fresh fruit... it really makes you wonder why can we always eat like this. Again, all the decor is according and respecting both modern and heritage details. If you can, dine in and ask for a bottle of wine. The house will present a collection of excellent region wines which are ones of the best in Portugal and in the world! It's definitely of of those places to go and go back again, and again, and again.

Quinta do Rio Noémi is a lovely farmhouse cottage near to two national parks, the rooms are excellent constructed out of local stone, as is the whole farmhouse and reflect the love and care that the family have for the property. The family owners themselves could not have been nicer, nor could they have made more of an effort, with nothing being too much trouble for them to make our stay as special as it was. We primarily went for walking in the national parks, which was superb, but we also found local walks from the farmhouse too, so you have the best of both worlds at Quinta do Rio Noémi, which we thoroughly recommend (Breakfast was lovely too!)

There was nothing that we did not like about Quinta do Rio Noémi. Pushed then tea and coffee in the room would have gone down well as we drink gallons :-)

Beautiful boutique hotel with a character in a quiet green area. Rooms are nicely designed and very clean. Cosy common area with a fireplace downstairs. The host is extremely friendly and accommodating. Tasty breakfast with locally produced ingredients. Definitely have to follow host’s advice for dinner place - very local simple place with small menu but food food so delicious and fresh!

Cozy and beautifully designed property with exceptionally warm hosts. Joaquim and his son Joaquim Jr were incredibly graceful, and helpful, right down to driving on very short notice into town to help us with an issue with our car. The town is lovely, the region is stunning, and it was a pity we only had two nights there - we will be back.

Everything- Joachim was an amazing host and shared lots of helpful information about local restaurants and attractions. The breakfasts were great and the villa has a superb lounge area as well as the pool overlooking the fields to relax in. We would definitely recommend as This stay was a slice of Portuguese heaven!

Our charming host met us at the beautiful property, helped us with our luggage and offered us a glass of local wine. Through out our stay he gladly provided hidtory, local information and trip suggestions. The room was spacious, sparlingly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was superb. Seldom have a had croissants so fresh that I needed to let them cool. I recommend without reservation.
