Hotel do Paço

Good value for the money, perfect for a night stay and close to Guimaraes and Braga on a fairly quiet neighbourhood. Staff was very helpful and nice, comfortable bed as well. Breakfast was very simple but okay for the money.

The damp smell in the room but luckily we could open the windows and air it out. The room was very poorly lit but we just needed to sleep 1 night so no problem.

Everything, especially the friendliness of the staff. Very polite, professional and warm, making us feel at home. We definitely will be back.

Although it was a hot day, the room was cool. We even did not need to use the airco. Free parking available on-site. Close to the Guimaraes historical city.

The breakfast room lacked ventilation. There was a window to let in the light, but could not be opened to let fresh air in.

Very nice and little road hotel. Girl at reception was very polite. Room was very clean and Breakfast, though very simple very tasty and full of different things.

Internet signal in the room was really bad. My computer reached it only in a few places and my phone couldn't at all. The hotel at night is left empty and it has a sister hotel close by where you can call with 24 reception. Unfortunately I had issues with lighting in the room and when tried to contact the other reception, no one answered. Tried 3 times at different intervals.

This stay was a good surprise, specially taking in count the price. The AC works better than in most 4* hotels I've stayed, the bed is stiff but very comfortable, which is what I prefer, the bathroom has plenty of space and the room is simple but has everything that I would ever need in a one night stay, including a very good breakfast (hostel style breakfast), strong Wi-Fi and free parking in the street.

The television has a very bad reception quality, it's not a problem for me personally, but it could be for other guests; the bed lamp in my room wasn't working; there's no shampoo (not a problem for me personally) and the shower gel isn't adequate to take a bath regularly (it's actually handsoap, so it's gonna dry your skin if you use it regularly). Also, the previous guests smoked in the bathroom, but that is something that the hotel can't control and taking off the smell is quite hard and takes days, they should apply a fine for guests that smoke inside the facilities, not only because it's against the law, but because destroys the experience for future guests.

The staff were friendly and polite, nice price. Good location.

Location 10 minutes away from center of Guimarães. Hotel is a house converted into a small hotel with a feel like bed n breakfast. Private bathrooms in each room though. Breakfast was just enough.

Alot of car noise during night, block away from major road

OK breakfast. Easy to find with a GPS and easy parking.

Noise from the corridors. We had two beds but a bedlamp by one bed only.
