Hotel Vila D'Óbidos

The hotel is located just 5 mins drive from Obidos, so super convenient but also really quiet and peaceful. The reception staff were all really friendly and helpful with advice on where to eat and what to see. The hotel has a minimalist feel. We didn’t try the spa, but enjoyed the good sized outdoor pool. It was good for a one night stay, so we got to see Obidos by night and day and have a great meal in the old town.

The walls between rooms could be more soundproofed and the place felt like it could do with a bit of a refresh. I’d like a few more homely touches - plants, pictures etc. But overall it was great for what we needed for an overnight stop.

The room was much larger than we expected. The pool looked great, though we didn't actually go in, we just took a drink beside the pool. The breakfast was very good and the waiters very attentive. There was a great choice of breakfast, including hot food, pastries, breads, yoghurts, cold meats. The hotel was a very short distance from the town but in the evening it is better to use a car as there is no lighting on the street to the hotel and quite a bit of traffic passing (the hotel itself was quiet, could not hear any traffic)

The staff went out of their way to help in every way always going the extra mile for special requests. Always warm and friendly. The hotel is clean and very comfortable. Great indoor and outdoor pools. It is located away from the centre of Obidos which is great as it gets pretty hectic at this time of the year. It is in a quieter and more secluded setting.

Being on the top floor and not having a lift was unpleasant when you have bags and mobility issues (not mentioned to staff). Not much as to fault at this hotel.

A nice modern hotel with well equipped clean rooms and nice pool which we used quite a lot during our stay. The breakfast was really nice and the toasties from the bar were really good value. We had a great view of Obidos from our room as well.

It was all very good. We had two rooms and they were on different floors which meant we were away from the kids. I think they could have put us closer, but appreciate its tricky sometimes.

The hotel has very good facilities. I was traveling with a baby and the staff managed a crib free of charge. The pool is large and plenty of room around it is available. The restaurant was closed due to the pandemic situation, but the hotel allowed for food from other restaurants and take-away services to be consumed within the hotel which is an advantage. The staff was very friendly throughout our stay. Good restaurants are available. We definitely recommend “O Caldeirão”, roughly 5 minutes by car.

This is not a bad point, but something we felt that could be improved. The breakfast is ok, but a bit pricy. You should consider it if you don’t have a car, as other coffee shops or bakeries are not available within a walking distance.

Really friendly staff. They were able to give us an early check in. Good sized room be the very clean pool. Massage was good and very reasonably priced. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent and waiter was really friendly. Too far to walk into town but there is free parking in town.

Awesome location, awesome rooms, awesome staff, awesome breakfast, awesome pool.

When travelling with friends it's not so nice to have a glass wall between the bedroom and the shower, even though it's 50% blurred. Also a bath/shower combination should be replaced with a regular shower only.

The ambient temperature of the entire hotel was just perfect and the parking and location of the hotel is great to ensure a quiet rest.

We had to change from the first room to another because the first was not cleaned properly and had various spots with stains in the bed and also the bathroom was not cleaned well.

I liked my room had a bathtub and courtyard view. The breakfast service was convenient because there is no cafes or restaurants nearby. Using the pool and sauna was also a good mood changer during this trip.

It is a bit distanced from the Obidos castle. And there was no restaurant service after breakfast.

it’s very elegant and calm. The star is the staff, all incredibly friendly and professional. I also like it’s close to Óbidos but not inside walls. the gardens are amazing
