Jupiter Marina Hotel - Couples & Spa

Where do I start?!? After a very easy check-in, we stepped into our room where we saw the view of the river from beyond what looked like a very comfortable balcony, we knew we were in for a treat. In addition to the beautiful room, this hotel really is only a 15-20 minute walk in either direction to the promenade along the river and all of its shops, or to the beaches. It is a fantastic location. And the staff, ever so helpful, was happy to provide directions, make recommendations, etc. This place really thought of everything. Yes, the bed and bedding were comfortable. Yes, there was plenty of space to settle in. Yes, there was space in the bathroom to set our toiletries and hang things. Yes the shower was amazing. Yes we had a strong wifi signal. Refrigerator and personal safe, check! ...But it goes beyond all of that. Jupiter Marina Hotel pays attention to the little details too. One example to illustrate what I mean: Lots of places boast that they come with blackout shades. But somehow, the curtains never seems to fall so that all of the light is blocked, including the one street light that always seems to be in just the wrong place. At Jupiter Marina, they're aware of this and someone thought to add an inconspicuous strip of velcro down the edge so that you can seal the curtain. Voila! No light gets in! Another small but super helpful detail - there are outlets on both sides of the bed, easily accessible, and one of them even has USB outlets. All of these little details add up to make this a stay that exceeded my expectations. And I haven't even mentioned the incredible breakfast that we started every day with. If you're debating whether to include the breakfast or not in your room purchase, take it from me - include the breakfast! It will be SO worth it!

There is not one thing that I can think of. I didn't like that our stay came to an end, does that count? ;-) After staying here, I'd love to go back to any other hotel review I've done in order to change all of the 10s to something lower. I don't think I truly appreciated a 10 out of 10 until I stayed here. What a find!

The hotel is located not far from the beach and the city center (15-20 minutes walk). The room has a balcony and was very clean. It has everything you need: mini bar, fan, electric kettle. The personal of the hotel was very supportive and helped us with everything we needed. We asked for an iron, and within 5 minutes the iron with the table was in our room. There was a coffee machine in the lobby and regular water and sparkling water 24 hours a day - all for free. Breakfast was very varied. Orange juice machine was free for everyone.

Parking was not free and you must pull your suitcases over path of small stones to the elevator. Restaurant at the hotel was very disappointing. We had a lunch there once. You must pay for the person and take whatever you want include water wine or beer. The price of this was almost twice the price at the local restaurant.

The hotel was modern, clean and the Recepton staff were very accommodating. As we arrived, we were offered welcome drinks i.e.. water, fruit juice or tea/coffee. Breakfast was excellent, a wide selection of cereal, fruits and meats and freshly squeezed orange juice. The affinity pool was superb with a great view of Portimao harbour. The location of the hotel was good; if you turned left out the hotel you could head for Portimao and right you could walk to Praia da Rocha beach (lovely beach; sea is freezing though). The hotel did offer a shuttle service to take you to/from Praia da Richa, which was very handy.

Only minor items that I didn't like. The gravel that the sunbeds near the pool were on, think it was supposed to simulate sand, but it didn't work for me. It was uncomfortable to walk on and got stuck between your toes! Also, we ran out of coffee pods in our room and they wanted 1 euro 80 for additional ones.

The Deluxe Room included a balcony that looked out over the harbor, a spectacular view. Every staff member was polite, accommodating, friendly, and competent. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, particularly the fresh-squeezed orange juice, the best in the world. My daughter and I had a chance to experience the spa, which included an indoor pool, steam room, and sauna. It was the very best hotel during our stay, which lasted 5 days in Portimao. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

We loved everything.

the location is just like the pictures. it’s very clean and neat. the staff is very friendly and they try to make everything to please you. we got even vegan breakfast! the bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, big windows, spacious terrace.

Great choice of food at breakfast. Majority of staff very friendly, especially Ines at breakfast. Reception has coffee, water available for guests all day. Rooftop pool, bar/ cafe was great and really comfy to sit and chill. Location was good ie in the middle of Portimão and Prai Da Rocha. You can easily walk to both or jump on the shuttle to Prai Da Rocha.

Going down to lower G/F floor to get pool towels and to return / change them. Why not collect and return towels at the pool? Staff looking after towels / gym could smile more. Bathroom needs more accessories ie shower caps, dressing gowns, Cotten buds etc

hotel was beautiful modern and clean. facilities were fantastic including the pool and rooftop bar. loved ordering and drinking cocktails by the pool. staff are fantastic and help your very need. breakfast was great including free Prosecco every morning. Lovley location only a 18 min walk to Praia da Rocha and a 3 min walk to portimao port. spa was excellent and massage Lovley deffo book of you can. they do a reasonable priced couple massage and spa ticket best part adults only and no kids 😅 All in all fantastic holiday made mostly by the hotel. would recommend to everyone.

Nothing. honestly cannot fault the hotel at all.

The location is great. Nice restaurants in walking distance. Parking is good and included. The hotel seems very modern and clean. The room was great and had a nice view. Breakfast was good, and had all the options of a continental breakfast, including a machine to freshly squeeze orange.

Although all seemed modern and nice, there were some littel tihngs that were annoying. For example there was no Lactose free options in milk or yoghurt. On the first day I got told there is Decaf coffee in sachets next to the coffee machine, but I never saw them. Upon Check in we were told that we could write consumation on the room (bar/restaurant) when we went to the bar and ordered drinks the bar personell said that there was no tap opened on our room, so we had to pay cash. There is live music/DJ every nicht at the rooftop bar until midnight our room on the floor beneath was very loud and didnt block the music out...

This hotel is far better than You can imagine, the staff go above and beyond to make your stay pleasurable, the Decor is beautiful and the food is superb. The rooms and bathrooms are spotless clean and I always judge a hotel by the bathroom and this hotel really impressed me. When you go to the roof terrace you won’t want to leave, and I highly recommend booking the Bali bed on the roof. Also I cannot forget to say how good the Gym is, for a hotel gym it is very well equipped. So to sum up this hotel is 10 out of 10 for everything. And a big thank you to all the staff who made us feel so welcomed and appreciated.

Great hotel, situated like 15min away from a great beach, great terraces and city centre. The hotel was very clean, staff very helpful, kind and full of life. Great spa facilities. Sauna, steam room and pool spotless clean. Rooftop bar with a good selection of drinks and snacks and plenty of space outside and inside. Rooftop pool big enough and very clean. We had breakfast included and that is just brilliant because you have a great selection. Room has a great sound system (speaker installed in the bathroom). Very spacious room, bathroom and balcony.
