LOTTE City Hotel Myeongdong

Had a lovely 2 week stay. The staff were great and the receptionists handled English-speaking guests perfectly. The location is prime walking distance to many key locations, not far from Myeongdong and right next to the gorgeous Cheongyechon River. The small convenience store attached was very handy, and the Cafe 'Angel-in-Us' (also attached) was my favourite thing and a great way to start my day - coffee and sandwich in a very cute atmosphere. ATM is also available, which handled international withdrawals was also appreciated. Friendly housekeeping and doorman staff. Overall, it was very professional and pleasant. I certainly recommend as an international traveller. (The blue bowing man outside is also a nice touch and great landmark to find your bearings haha)

Clothes washing machines were perhaps too few, particularly when one was out of order.

Elegant hotel with great staff and service. The metro is just outside the building, many cheap places to grab brunch close by. The room was clean, simple and good size. Professional feel.

I had a hard time sleeping through the night because the unstable air conditioning. The bed was very hard and the pillows deflated easily. The lunch buffet was too expensive, we chose not to eat there. But the biggest annoyance was the lack of elevators. Three elevators for almost 30 floors are way too few, and the rides took forever.

Good location, a short walk from the station and buses. Airport bus stop is within a minute's walk. Easy walk to Myeongdong night market and shops.

Location. Just far enough out of Myeongdong so avoid the crazy tourist crowds and tacky atmosphere of Myeongdong. Parking access wonderful and plenty of it. Close enough to subway entrance that even though its a massive walk underground to the actual subway you are underground and out of the rain, heat if needed. Also this location puts you minutes from the Cheongyecheong stream (though honestly an hour walking along there is more than enough) and easy quick walk to Insadong street, so much better location than really our hotel in Insadong - though this is further to the Palaces if needed. Very central spot. Not too bad to visit Namsan and the tower. We walked to the bus stop that takes you up the hill to the cable car (free bus) but hardly anyone was using it. (Right outside exit 1 of the subway and by the big Daiso). Walkable to a lot of places. The hotel room itself was the largest we had of all our rooms, very comfortable, clean more space for our luggage. Bathroom felt a bit dated but overall this was acceptable. We had breakfast at this hotel each morning. Great selection, though needs probably a few more western options to claim that it has western. But it was do able and we were full each morning, albeit on bread. Korean bread is very sugary. Be warned! Beautiful views from the restaurant area. Staff very nice. Will definitely choose Lotte brand again.

I loved that the hotel was sophisticated, clean& has a good location (a walk across & up to Myeongdong shopping & an Angel in Us coffe shop at the bottom floor). The staff were genuinely helpful (calling taxis for us, etc.) fluent in English & knowledgeable of places to go. The 7-11 older male clerk was also very kind. The toiletries provided were spa-like & in generous size bottles. The room came w/complimentary bottled water too- essential for our stay since it was a hot July/August visit. I’d stay here again!

The facilities looked great and the location was amazing (great views out of the window). The staff were very helpful and tried their best to help with any queries that we had. We loved how close the hotel was to tourist attractions and convenience stores.

We had smelly pillows in the room and I had to ask for a new one but got a small one as they struggled to find a suitable alternative. Please use better detergent.

Excellent location - close to lots of main areas including walking distance to key areas like Jongno, Insadong, Gwanghwamun, Cheonggyecheon, Myeongdong and Euljiro-gil. It's close to metro stations close to Seoul station (to get onto the trains that go to the airport). The limousine bus from Incheon airport stops at nearby Lotte Hotel which is just up the road so getting to Lotte City Hotel from Incheon or Gimpo airport is really easy. The hotel has great facilities including a gym, coin laundry (with waiting room adjacent), business centre and restaurant on premise. The room is larger than other hotels and it was really quiet, no disruptive loud noises. Bedsheets crisp and blanket very warm, soft pillows with several to stack up if you want, robes and slippers make for a comfortable stay. Good space for luggage, lots of hangers in the wardrobe and a large bathroom with counter space for toiletries etc. Seoul is a really fun place to visit and Lotte City Hotel is a lovely quality hotel, competitively priced. Staff were warm, swift and helpful (as you'd expect in Seoul just about anywhere!) Check in and check out was quick and easy. I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely stay here again!

The hotel is located near the subway & easily accessible by bus. Rooms is clean and housekeeping is properly done daily.

The room size for 3 pax considered squeeze as we facing some space constraints when open our luggage.

The hotel is centrally located which makes it a perfect platform for sightseeing in Seoul. Very friendly and helpful staff

Just a small issue: it would be good if the room had more drawers/cupboards or other options to store things.

Location was great

For the price you pay, there's not a lot they give you. I guess see are paying just for the location. The room was smaller than expected and basic.
