Guadacorte Park

The hotel is clean and tidy, the swimming pool area is amazing, and the room is nice and cool despite how hot it was when we visited. Staff very friendly, although some struggled to understand English (my Spanish is terrible), although we managed to get by. Staff also helpful arranging taxis to destinations.

The bathroom was a little dated, bath felt a little insecure when standing to shower, and we only had one light bulb out of about 5 or 6 in there working. I can't knock the location as I knew where it was anyway, but for other visitors bear in mind nearest towns /cities aren't "local" and a car / transport is highly advisable.

Hotel is well maintained, large garden, big enough pool. It has few years, can be seen on furniture, but - nothing to worry about. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds. Large parking on site plus garage. Breakfast can be a lot better (or completely rethinked), altough it won't dissapoint as it is. But - you can sit on the terrace for breakfast, it was the highlight of the day :) Staff friendly, always working, keeping the hotel and garden nice, thank you.

With just a little (remodeling the rooms + updating the breakfast equipment such as coffee machines, "juice" dispenser and so on) this would be the TOP hotel in this location. Go for it! I've noticed one disturbing thing, office entrance are near reception, meaning the management might not see The carpet. "The carpet" is the hidious thing glued to the marble staircase, and I swear I've never ever seen such a dirty carpet in hotel. And I travel a lot. In my personal opinion, leaving the stairs as plain marble would be great option.

The park surrounding the hotel is very nice with huge trees, hiding completely the neibouring area which is not the nicest one. The room was basic and a bit old, but large, clean and with comfortable bed, with a clean and spacious bathroom, small fridge, and there was also a balcony with a table and two chairs overlooking the park. The surroundings were calme and quite, but we had very noisy neibhours in the next room and the walls were quite thin. There is a nice outside pool but it was not operating due to the weather. The breakfast was very good - open buffet at a big terrace in the hotel garde, but quite expensive (extra cost). The parking is free and safe, inside the territory of the hotel. It is rather a good quality motel as it is located on the highway, and there is nothing outside of the hotel, but if you are with a car (well you cannot reach the hotel without a car) - a mall and casino are 2 min drive back - right at the highway exit.

The distance from Gibraltar/La Linea border is some 20 minutes by car but we knew it in advance and for us the safety was the most important as the hotel is enclosed complex with guarded parking and restricted access from the street to customers only

We had a superior room with the king size bed with the door opening to the garden and the pool. We loved the place, the amenities and the location

We had a dinner, but it wasn't tasty, so we were eating at other places. The disappointing thing was that eventhough the hotel declares this is non smoking hotel and the smoking is forbidden in the open spaces as well, in reality there are plenty of cigarette buds on the ground next to the children's playground and there were people smoking in the pool and there was no enforcement of the non smoking policy, because the pool was not open at these hours. However, since the pool area is adjacent to the children playground the non smoking policy has to be enforced at all times regardless of the pool opening hours

the staff was really nice and the hotel is beautiful with a wonderful park & swimming pool. I upgraded the room to a Junior suite as the standard room was really not what I expected. the junior suite was fantastic, spacious with private balcony, nice view on the park.

the standard room isolation is really bad and I could hear everything from my neighbors. the staff was wonderful and showed me other available rooms. for a few more euros I decided to upgrade to a quiet and nice junior suite

We were pleased with the spacious parking area and enjoyed the very easy and pleasant check in process. Our room was immaculate and well sized. We checked out the pool area in front of the hotel and well kept gardens under enormous Mediterranean pines. Our treatment by staff during pre-dinner drinks and the buffet dinner was most correct. The hotel is large and spacious and appealed to us. We stay often in the Algeciras area for work reasons and Hotel Guadacorte will be our first choice next time.

Disabled access was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast had a good choice and the cafe/bar had a good menu for lunch and dinner and was excellent quality

Had booked half board and the evening meal did not offer a good choice always. The last night we ordered off the café menu and paid for that rather than the buffet style meal offered in the restaurant. Would stick with just breakfast in future

This hotel is a land locked Oasis, nice and quiet with spacious gardens and trees that give plenty of shade. The pool was refreshing after long days out and it's open til 10pm (perhaps only in the summer) the staff were lovely and the restaurant prices were very reasonable. Hotel room was fine, comfortable beds and a balcony with views of the gardens, good size bathroom and nice linen and beach towels. It was about 30 mins drive to Gibraltar and the coast around there. Bit longer to Marbella side...about an hour but the roads are easy to navigate. There is a large retail park next door with food, cinema and shopping. We stayed 2 nights visiting friends nearby.

The huge oil refinery nearby. From the hotel you can't see anything as the gardens and trees keep it hidden, but that is just the industrial area and can't be helped. For the price...I would book again.

I liked the hotel in general. The pool and garden are well kept and the room cosy and clean. Very reasonable drink prices at bar.

Taking in consideration that the hotel has a kind of colonial looking deco I must say that my partner and I found the picture of the black slave with the white master in the background a little bit offensive and with really bad taste. It is placed right in front of reception. At dinner food took a little bit long, but the staff made up for it, very nice and profesional. Cooked breakfast could be better. We were told by a young lady to don’t sit on the right size of the terrace and later she accommodate other guests. Our table was set up without been cleaned.

Good value per price. Chose it because of close distance to Gibraltar. Area of hotel is quite industrial, but teritory of hotel was green and nicelly maintained.

It was smoked in hallways, pool was closed. Breakfast was relatively poor, since staff was not in a hurry to refi empty plates or add milk to coffee mashine.
