Kitchen was open for fika, coffee etc. whenever you wanted anything. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location was good for ease to hospital.

Basic room, things could have been a bit better, curtain hanging, no hanging place for towel, shower could only be used handheld, nowhete to place showerhead. Big problem was finding the place, even GPS could not find it! Needs a sign to point to small road to get to hotel. We had to go round road system 3 times before guessing where to go.

It's a charming hotel located in a nice and quiet area near the botanical garden. The hotel is easy to reach with public transportation, just a 10 minute walk from Linnéplatsen. I had a clean and comfy single room that I liked a lot. Not very large, but there was everything i needed. A comfortable bed, desk & chair, wardrobe, plus an armchair to sit and read. Even a small fridge. Charming. The bathroom was fine too. Breakfast was good. Fresh food, various options, there's something for everyone. Moreover, there's a large balcony (which can be reached from the breakfast room) that guests can use. So if the weather is fine, you can sit outside with a cup of coffee and enjoy the garden view.

WLAN wasn't very stable. I got disconnected fairly often. Other than that, everythings was fine.

A quaint personally run hotel in an old historic house . . . in the midst of the most beautiful forest and botanical garden setting. The staff was so kind and helpful (I met 3 different people and each one as nice and welcoming as the next) This is also a dog-friendly hotel which was a great benefit as I was travelling with my 4 legged best friend. The breakfast was nice and homemade. View from my room was stunning of just treetops and skyline. Free parking! that really helps in the city.

I really loved staying here . . . it was very nice, quaint and comfortable. That said, it is not a luxury hotel in the "classic sense" The room is quite cozy small and the bathroom super basic. But plenty of warm water so that is good. Just know that the house is a villa in a beautiful place with wonderful staff . .. but it is not a luxury hotel.

It is a comfortable haven away from the hustle and bustle of Gothenburg. Staying in a smaller hotel was much nicer than a big hotel. There were opportunities to chat to other travellers over breakfast or in the late afternoon on the deck. Having some home made biscuits available was appreciated. It was located in a lovely suburb near the Botanical Gardend and not too far from bus or tram. The host was kind.

Nice and helpful staff, good breakfast, tram/bus station near the hotell, huge park next to the accommodation, very calm neighboorhood - view from the room into the woods, room is rather basic but good value for the money and ok for a few nights, around 20-30 min to the city center

Shower in the bathroom is a bit unusual and old (shower has to be "unfolded") - I have never seen this before in a hotell

the hotel is located in a calm street few steps from the Botanical garden which is really lovely. It is also not very far to Slottsskogen, another wonderful area. You can get easily to the city center within half an hour. Staff was very friendly, breakfast tasty and room nice and clean. recommended!

first I couldn't figure out how to switch water from basin to the shower but I got it eventually:) (hotel is not to blame I guess). maybe some people would prefer bigger TV but for me it didn't matter as I didn't wanna watch.

Such a wonderful little hotel! I arrived with no real expectations except a bed for the night and a boring evening alone in Gothenburg before a hospital visit the next day, and instead I had an interesting and fun conversation with one of the owners, which really brightened my day. It's the kind of friendliness and hospitality that one never experience at a larger hotel and rarely in other smaller hotels either. Because I had an appointment at the nearby hospital, the location couldn't have been better; only a 3 minute walk to get there. Unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy the breakfast since my hospital visit required fasting in the morning but instead, I was offered to get what I wanted from the kitchen in the evening. Aston Villa Hotell gets my highest recommendations!

Great view from the room, nice balcony, where you can sit out to drink your afternoon tea. Comfortable bed, even a fridge in the room. The the bathroom was small but this disadvantage was bridged in a brilliant way. The breakfast had sufficient choices. The staff was attentive.

I should have given a long list here as then next time when I am coming there would be still room available for me. However I cannot say anything that I didn’t like.

fantastic location : just ‘ out of town’ enough to feel as though we were in a quiet , peaceful location , but close enough to the centre to be a city break. Really lovely staff . comfortable and relaxed . good breakfast and appreciated being able to use the kitchen and dining area to self cater if we wanted . close to great transport links and lots of bars and restaurants as well as the botanical gardens and parks.

We are absolutely satisfied with the stuff, breakfast and the style of the hotel, and the environment. We loved the area: the hotel is in a little forest, near the botanical garden. The surrounding residential area is paeceful, with lovely swedish style houses and gardens.

We missed a wardrobe for our clothes.
