Ersta Hotell & Konferens

The room was modern, the location was very quiet and calm. It's a very nice neighborhood as well. The room was very spacious, had a lot of place where to put things, hang clothes, etc. The view out of the room was very nice. During breakfast it's possible to sit outside and on a sunny day that's very nice. There was a kettle, tea and coffee in the room.

The breakfast could for sure be better. We were early, so it was okay, but if you come later, the selection is very scarse. Generally, would be better if there were more warm food options, not just sausages, scrambled eggs and meat balls. You can leave the luggage after the check out, but be aware, that it's only possible to leave it there until 17.00. The reception is not always open, it just works for specific hours. The location, even though quiet and nice, was not very close to the center, it's a 25 minute walk until old town and around 40 minutes to the station. However, there are buses that connect it to the city.

Good location, close to shops and cafés in SoFo, nice view of the water nearby (not from the room). The room was quite oldschool, but clean, comfortable and big enough! Slept really well as it was quiet. The place has more of a youth hostel kind of feel compared to a hotel. Everything was pretty much self check in. Breakfast was okay, nothing special but liked that they had vegan options for milk, yoghurt and cheese!

I wish the staff was nicer. Only interaction was the payment and check out. The lady did not seem very happy with her job 😅

The hotel was very nice, cozy and intimate. It is like a small neigborhood with different buildings and a yard between them. The room was very big, a lot of space for everything, clean with a nice view to the nice yard. The location is a little far away from the center, but there was bus station very close to the hotel, and 10 min walk from big metro station. It was so easy to get to the center or wherever you need. And a great point to the area where the hotel located, you can find there a lot of nice local restauranst and coffee shops with traditinal meals.

The place takes only card payment, it is the most common method of payment in Sweden, so be aware and don't bring with you only cash. Also there is no refrigerator and no safe in the rooms.

Great continental breakfast with gluten free and lactose free options. Very friendly staff. Clean facilities. Warm in winter. Bathroom is a shower plus toilet and you can close the door which means there is a lot of privacy even though the bathroom is shared with other people. There is a kitchenette with tea and coffee. Nice view to the sea.

The only disadvantages was pillow which was quite high and there was no flat replacement.

The location was stunning with parks and (tulip gardens everywhere in the spring time). There is also great access to busses and the train system directly to the city. The small kitchen was extremely useful to store pre-made and microwave meals for dinners and snacks, and the provided breakfast was amazing too. There seemed to be a rich history to the buildings with lots of motifs and displays around which was interesting

That was my second stay at this hotel within a week time. First before the voyage to Mariehamn and the next after returning from the Alands islands. The location of the hotel is more than perfect - just a short distance from the VikingLine Terminal. This time I took advantage of the weather and ate breakfast outside, in a beautiful half open courtyard. The whole complex consists of several buildings - in the main one there's reception desk, in the other - a hotel floor with rooms of a better standard. Thanks to the clear description of the receptionist - it's easy to find everything! The rooms are completely renovated, spacious, some with porte-fenetre and beautiful decor. From the nearby terrace you have the best views of Stockholm city center. And the Fotografiska Gallery is just 10 min walk! A place worth recommending!

Excellent price, great breakfast, friendly reception (early check in/luggage storage), and good location close to everything Södermalm has to offer.

Ersta Hotell & Konferens is quite hard to describe; it doesn’t feel like a hotel, nor does it feel like a hostel. It does, however, feel a bit institutionalised. The twin room was very basic. No ensuite, but three WC/shower rooms to share between five rooms. But this was absolutely fine for us for an overnight stay.

unique property, good value, view from rooms, even having shared bath was fine because they are single bathroom/WC right outside your door and there are enough of them that you have almost guaranteed privacy. There is a fridge and kitchenette in the common room. You can walk to/from Viking line ferry BUT don’t make the mistake I did when arriving. Do not follow the signs for Gamla Stan and town center. Instead cross the main road immediately and walk uphill from the terminal. The hotel is perched on the cliff. There are no stairs or access points other than right there by the ferry, and not again until the bridge.

Location good for ferry and decent for Södermalm access but is not a central location. I don’t mind walking but if you don’t, it would be an issue. Sort of a weird vibe here too, probably because it is not just a hotel. It is also a religious organization and hosts other events. I didn’t like that they started taking down the breakfast ten minutes before it is scheduled to close, rushing the hotel guests out of the room to get it ready for some event. If hotel guest breakfast is scheduled until 9, it’s only fair to leave it set up until 9. They have a lot of space on the property to set up for other events.

Clean, comfortable, (ikea styled) room and brilliant shower. The hotel was a 20 min scenic walk or 5 min by electric scooter to Slussen and the main shopping areas in Old Town. Lovely view as it was close to the water.

A little noise from the street, but expected in a lively area. Otherwise, not really anything to unlike.

Beautiful location surrounded by greenery. Wonderful views of Stockholm . Rooms large, beds comfortable, bathrooms very clean. Breakfast modest but decent. Good value for money.

It is worth knowing that the windows of some rooms overlook a rather busy street where intensive construction work is taking place (which, of course, is not the hotel's fault :) It is noisy during the day when the windows are open
