Nobis Hotel Stockholm, a Member of Design Hotels™

I loved the fact that the Hotel is located directly in the city. Most of the great attractions of Stockholm are about 19 minutes away from the hotel. I loved the design of the hotel. The Lobby was beautiful (lived up to the expectations I had for a 5 star hotel, the breakfast was great, and the design of the Hotel in general was just beautiful. The hotel restaurant/bar is also a great place to work. Simply put - a beautiful hotel!

The food in the minibar has been expired for around 5 months. That was a very weird observation I had to make. The woman at the front desk apologized immediately and replaced the expired food with fresh food which I then received for free. Even though the room was very comfortable and clean, I was slightly disappointed because I expected more from a room in a 5 star hotel.

Location was excellent, in the centre of Stockholm. The room was small and we could only access the bed on one side. thus my daughter had to clamber over me. The room was a disabled room, despite not requesting one, which was fine, except for the door closure/operation which sprung open or shut REALLY slowly - which I'm sure is important for those in wheelchairs but not abled-bodied. Breakfast in the lower ground restaurant was well-stocked with continental breakfast items plus some hot food, but limited and they appear to only have pancakes served at weekend (not so great for kids if staying during the week). The lounge area was lovely, great for afternoon tea or snacks or just aperitif but closed too early and we would have preferred drinks there post dinner, rather than in the actual bar which was small and 'Voodoo lounge' style and not ideal with children. the staff where amazing, very polite, helpful and offered some great restaurant recommendations (hence we did not eat in the hotel restaurants for lunch or dinner) and directions to visit places of interest. Uber taxis are easy to organise around Stockholm and it's worth noting to have your shopping receipts stamped by the retailer so you can claim the tax back at the airport (25%).....some items where 20% cheaper than the UK, which made even greater savings with the reclaim! We visited in the winter, but would definitely consider the same location for a summer trip.

No ? to help with your suitcase up the stairs. It’s not a long flight but when you are tired from a long flight, would be nice to have someone help with the bags. And the infamous Saturday night thumping music beat that I can hear from my 6th floor bedroom facing the courtyard is real. Also, the housekeeping staff threw away my half bottle of water. I wasn’t actually done with it even though it was open and they didn’t replenish the toiletries.

Breakfast room was very tighly packed with tables. Heating in the room was very tempremental (it was -3 degrees outside). Our room was located at the front of the hotel overlooking the square. We could not open windows at night due to very loud disco music from the bar opposite and nightclub. Being woken up at 3:30am was no joke. Hotel are aware and actually said "it is much worse in Summer"!!. For the price out room was on the small side with only 12" from the end of the bed to the window. Bathroom great.

The staff were charming, friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and the bathroom was very smart and spacious with wonderful Byredo toiletries and huge soft towels. The breakfast was superb.

The decor inside the hotel in the corridors was quite gloomy, all dark greys and very underlit. Our room felt quite small ( although the bathroom was spacious) and again was quite gloomy because we'd been given an interior room with a window that looked inward to a roofless space. I felt overlooked by all the other rooms that faced into mine and so kept the curtains drawn all the time.

Fantastic location for shopping, restaurants and sight seeing. Clean and cosy rooms. Friendly staff. Wonderful ambience and decor.

Bare essentials for amenities in the room - no tea or coffee. Small room (expected for Scandinavia and for what I paid/description of room) - only had carry on luggage so ok, but would have struggled with checked in suitcase size.

Breakfast - Food was nice and good selection Location - Amazing central location of the hotel. It's right in the middle of the city centre, next to all the shops, restaurants etc. Room - Room was amazing. Large, spacious and clean. We had a lovely view of the city.

Breakfast room was crowded and noisy. The room is way too small if the hotel is full. There were too many people having breakfast at the same time, it was noisy and chaotic.

Breakfast was abundant, tasty and varied, facilities amazing: bedrooms, sauna, breakfast room, living room... the whole decoration exceeded our expectations. the location is impeccable: close to everything. Besides the staff was really welcoming and smiley. One evening, we benefited from the visit of the hotel by one of the staff member: she was so knowledgeable, it also contributed to having a great stay! I would definitely recommend and wish I can come back soon.

In the middle of the city so very central. The breakfast buffet is fantastic.

It hotel was not worth the price, and for sure is barely a five star hotel(not at all in my ranking). The thing that got on my nerves most is it had every and no style. Oriental bathrooms, modern bedrooms, classic main entrance. It was all over the place. Honestly tacky

Room - the room was lovely, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast - food was nice and fresh, but the breakfast area was too busy and noisy most of the days

Room - Housekeeping could have done a better job at cleaning the room. We were given clean towels everyday, but the room itself wasn't cleaned, especially the bathroom.
